So the REAL reason they waited an extra year before releasing season 8 is because they were hoping we'd forget about each characters backstory..
GOT - FUCK D&D!!!

They're based and i hope they wins the Emmy for best writing.
This
The autistic meltdown they caused deserves an award
there are rumors that Star wars will be canceled lmao
so not only did they rush GOT for nothing but also they will crush and burn
fuck D&D and fuck you
A series' last episode should validate watching the show. But the GoT finale doesn't make you want to go back and watch GoT ever again. We're all just done with it. Watching earlier episodes knowing what's coming just makes watching it tedious rather than enjoyable. That's the clearest proof that the shows ending failed.
For me it was the total lack of consequences for Cersei's destruction of the Sept. I remember watching that happen and thinking "holy shit, what a ballsy, desperate move. I can't wait to see what the fallout will be!" And then... nothing. Absolutely nothing. In retrospect, I realize this was where the show finally lost me. I didn't even bother with S8, and based on the backlash, I made the right decision.
bumpp
Honestly, I think for this very reason the merchandisers should sue. McFarlane Toys, etc, who paid for the license are stuck with product nobody wants anymore because of how shit this last season was.
HBO is going to have a hard time selling dvd/blu ray box sets now because even in the future people new to this will hear about how bad and "not worth it" the show really is.
D&D should be shunned by Hollywood, just like Rian Johnson should be. They are murdering franchises.
Intelligent people tapped out after the second season.
I was ready to buy lot of GoT merch before season 7-8.
The icing on this whole shit cake was David and Dan pussying out of their seats at this year's Comic Con panel.
this they tanked the franchise the ONLY way they could save it is by making season 8 over again, they wont
no one cares about the prequels either since it'll end in shit
When GoT premiered, I was just coming off the high of Starz Spartacus, and loves the Lord of the Rings. In my mind, GoT was going to be a hybrid of the shows with incredible action, interesting characters, some magic, some fantasy setting elements, some bobs and vagine, and HBOs usually respectable production value. By the third episode I could tell it had none of those things, and tuned.
B-but it picks up, they said
B-but the season finales are so good, they said
And I just waited, watching it catch fire and sink, secretly hoping that the ending would be great and I could finally settle down to all the seasons knowing that it was worthwhile.
So glad the only time I wasted was writing this post.
TL; DR: Didn't get invested even though I should have liked in on paper. So glad I didn't.
yep.
i tried a few days ago to watch season 1 again but I just couldnt. Stopped after 15 minutes. Too painful.
im wearing a GOT tshirt right now that i bought before the season started, no one has any merch about this shit show anymore, before it was in memes and normiebook and people in the office with mugs and shit, now its all gone
I bought the first episode and couldn't get into it. I tried three times and never made it passed the 15-20 minute mark.
>paid for the episode
lmao what a cuck
lol its so true. at my local supermarket there is a geek corner. there was a huge corner dedicated to only GoT merch during the month leading to the final episode. 2 weeks after the episode aired that corner was completely gone. Everything about GoT is gone
lmao jews have to be mad they lost them so much money
at least I still have my GOT Risk
You know, I wouldn’t even remember this show was once so popular if I didn’t browse Yea Forums. I don’t see it on Twitter, my friends don’t ever mention it anymore.
not bad.
the only merch i bought was that GoT make up set for my gf. its the only positive thing left out of this absolute shit show
Blame George not D&D
Not gonna watch all that, George is gonna do the same shit in the books but it's even worse
from the MOST popular series in whole television history to completely 0 in just a matter of a few weeks
how is that possible?
kek the books are never coming out
lmao normies are doing their best to forget it my autism doesnt allow me to forget it
have we all collectively forgotten how huge this was? people would go to bars and exagerate their reactions for it for the camera lmao
it launched lots of reaction channels on youtube
and now, no one talks about it
He was planning to, anyway
To be fair, Game of Thrones is absolutely a story about how power corrupts: a cautionary tale of how power corrupted D&D.
Reminder Dany did nothing wrong.
This but Cersei
>Made Tyrion hand
George is gonna do the same shit, except maybe with jaime
you think?
fattie still has time to rewrite everything if he is smart
Winds of winter is probably mostly done so well still get stannis burning Shireen, and it'll be retarded just like in the show. Well be never get dream though
Littlefinger's death will be completely different. They completely changed his and Sansa's arcs.
fuck off dabid go eat your crayons
>hey DABID, we have the biggest show in the world right now!
>Cool, let's ruin it.
>stannis burning shireen alive
she'll be burnt but stannis is so far away and has not been twisted by dabis into a fanatic so it make no sense for him to have a hand in it.
She forgot marriage was a thing. Jon did, too.
That would be sweet justice, just like the justice the Starks received for everyone who wronged them >:)
Bullshit, they are not winning shit.
Based if true.
HBO is going to have a hard time selling dvd/blu ray box sets now because even in the future people new to this will hear about how bad and "not worth it" the show really is.
Exactly. HBO was even willing to pony up the cash for D&D to do a full real 10 or 12 episode season. D&D didn't want to do it.
The fault with the last season lies completely with D&D.
>D&D should be shunned by Hollywood, just like Rian Johnson should be. They are murdering franchises.
Based and redpilled poster. Imbeciles who completely mess up francises for *SUBVERTIN YO EXPECTATIONS* should suffer complete and total banishment.
No, D&D forgot. They also turned Jon into a braindead retard.
I still enjoy it. It's the journey not the destination.
Thick girl is thicc. Look at that beefy chest.
It's not being canceled, but they will only write one. Before it was the whole trilogy
>this they tanked the franchise the ONLY way they could save it is by making season 8 over again, they wont
HBO needs to find some better qualified director(s) and writers and do season 7 and 8 completely over.
>make no sense for him to have a hand in it.
Neither does Deus ex shadow baby, Jon getting longclaw, or Dany going mad in one chapter because George makes her sick
yes but even if that scenario happens, all the actors will be too old so it would make no sense unless..they do a "10 years later" in the show after season 6 or 7
cope
shill or massive brainlet detected
Dan looks like a faggot and Dabid looks like a cuck
Unironically
>Implying George has any idea where to go with littlefinger
It'll be dumb like the show
how do you do that? i try it and the memories of whats to come in the last seasons infuriates me and makes me want to vomit
Her chest really isn't that big. She's just smol.
they make a hell of a lot more sense that stannis doing that. even in the show where dnd went out of their way to make stannis look bad as possible it was done so fucking bad.
THE FIRST FUCKING SCENE IS ABOUT WHITE WALKERS
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
but she's thic
david and BIGMAN dan are absolutely based, this is an objective fact. you cannot argue against this
get fucked dan the mouse doesn't like you or your fuck buddy anymore
its done and irreversible. A reboot or remake wouldn't work as the actors look too different ...
When are people going to realize that redoing the last two seasons won't fix George's shitty ending? It was already to late to introduce fAegon, who is a lame plot device anyway, and King Bran will never be believable.
He's going to lose control of the situation, but it will be slower and we'll be able to see him lose his mind. He might even end up raping Sansa.
The Apology Tour
>netflix hired D&D to write and produce shit for them for $200 million
LMAO
sophie turner wasnt even there. too busy sucking arab cock
Stannis burning Shireen is dumb in the show but it'll be even worse in the books since at least they villainized him a bit in the show
>niko's face
If you only knew how bad things really are
Name my band, /got/
Maario Naharis
NO KING BRAN!
>it was already too late to introduce fAegon
There are at least two books left, that's plenty of time for him to get shit done.
Littlefinger who's basically like Ozymandias will be outwitted by a teen girl, I doubt it will be satisfying
this, and r/freefolk are fucking gay cunts.
The Mommy Killers
Stannis is
>100s of miles away
>Has expressed his desire not only that he does not wish to see the innocent burned but that he is ultimately undertaking his quest to become king for shireens sake
>is looking to win out against the boltons in the show
theres no way stannis will have a hand in it the logistics dont make sense and unlike Dnd george doesnt have a hate boner for Stannis and wont contrive way to kill him off in the most humiliating way possible.
Moron 5
Yeah, he's going to take over King's Landing and die.
You know in retrospect what really infuriates me is how we dont know see Danys face while she is burning down kings landing. During the whole freaking episode, not one close shot on her or her face.
Was emilia clark not able to make convincing hitler-face because its so out of character for dany?
>Reeeeee d&d rushed it!
>It's not the ending it's how we got there!
>It's all D&D fault for expecting George to finish his books in a timely manner!
I hate Reddit so much, ASOIAF is much worse though. Sucking George's dick for foreshadowing Jon killing the mother of his child
The lords of the Vale are going to stop buying into his shit and Sansa is going to stab him in the back because he cares about Sweetrobin. It will be kino.
It's about the journey, not the destination.
D&D explained they wanted the chaos to happen with Arya on the ground, so blame them for no Dany close-ups.
>It's about the journey, not the destination.
If the destination is off the side of a cliff, it fucking matters.
>implying D&D even thought about filming Dany's face
These guys literally integrates twitter memes on a multi millionaire show scripts
>come at me bro V2
are you fucking kidding me
Best Writing for a Drama Series
>It's about the journey, not the destination.
>the conclusion to the story doesnt matter
this is the type of fan dabid hoped to cultivate by dumbing down the show and introducing marvel-style quips. The type of fan who grasps at the air to make sense of whatever shite they spew out.
Outstanding writing
>muh favorite characters didn't win so it's shit
Stop projecting showfag. The books are still going to be good.
>come at me bro V2

That shitmeme is from 2010 by now, what the fuck?
>The books are still going to be good
>come at me bro V2
What the fuck did I just read. That meme barely lasted a month or two and was from 2010 if I remember correctly.
>defends shitty show by saying the conclusion doesnt matter
>gets called a retard
>"haha fuk u showfag"
you arent very good at this shilling job are you
Littlefinger clawed his way to the top in Kings landing but the lords of the vale and Sansa sue are gonna be too much for him. And how does he care about sweetrobin?
>D&D turns storm, feast and dance into complete shit and change everything
>the last two seasons are 100% george's story though, you gotta believe me
reminder that dabid was a nihilistic neet before his big businessman (Goldman Sachs, sat on multiple govt policy boards) daddy got him a job in hollywood.
I always told people this series was overrated as fuck anyways. Kinda happy it ended in a dumpster fire.
>The books are still going to be good.
>implying the books are coming out
>implying King Bran isn't objectively shit and nonsensical
>Expecting the show to adapt all the filler and expansion of characters of the last 2 books including like 5 chapters of a kid whose whole purpose is a plot device to alienate dorne after he gets burned in a comedic fashion
>Expecting showrunners to put in much effort knowing the shitty ending
Everyone stand before the Bran the Broken.
If anyone thinks after all of GOT before the last season anyone is going to bother bowing much less saluting some twat cunt without a working pair legs much less a whore porkin stiff cock these D&D motherfuckers must have completely overdosed on shitty canadian cocaine.
not that guy but youre both kind of right in your own ways. Seasons 5+ are 90%+ Dabid OC however they did say that there were a few basic outline points that they followed given to them by george. The first was shireen being burnt alive (they did not mention stannis had any involvment in it) the second was Hodors Hold the Door backstory. The last few havent been released but a lot of people think that Mad Queen Dany and King Bran are the remaining George outlined ideas.
ITT: showfags that have never touched the books
>The books are still going to be good.
>characters are still teens or preteens
>dragons are barely horse sized
>fAegon is a plot device and his existence is contrived nonsense
>Dany shitting herself into Fire and Blood is contrived nonsense
>dozens of plot threads still loose
>only two books left
>wall still there and Dany stuck in the desert
>George taking 9ver a decade to write one book, reminder ADWD is part two of AFFC and still doesn't have the battles
Sure m8
go suck that fat bitter fuck dick there
Cry more fag
should i get into the books? i dont want again to dive into something and get disappointed again
>ITT: showfags that have never touched the books
I only read one book that's worth opening and it's called the Bible. Literal Word of God.
based and Christpilled
>reading an unfinished series with a shit ending
DON'T
keep on seething dabid your show is shit
yep, not going to do that.
>Yea Forums
>George
>He doesn't know
The first book and first season are pretty much the exact same, the second book starts diverging from the show but is pretty similar, book 3 is where they really start diverging tho. It’s kinda hard for me to remember exactly because I read 2-5 all within the past couple months so they all kinda blend together. I really enjoyed them, the characters and dialogue are miles ahead of the show
>The last few havent been released but a lot of people think that Mad Queen Dany and King Bran are the remaining George outlined ideas.
Think? Do you need George to tell you to your face that this is what he intended? Is it not obvious at this point?
All bow before Aegon "Jon Targaryen, the True King of the North and the South, the Rightful King of Westeros by blood, the Beastmaster, the Red Ruff Rider, the King of the Freefolk, the Khal who mounts the World and Fucks the Mother of Dragons and etc etc etc.
I agree that if the outline points arent mad dany and king bran id be very surprised. That being said i was merely trying to be objective and impartial when i wrote that.
What have they done to my boy
well shit was fun talking. good night
The King Who Didn't Care
good night friend
>actually watching GoT after season 4
Truly the mark of a plebeian brainlet
Reminder everyone saw Jon riding a fucking dragon
Reminder no one gave a fuck
Reminder that Jon only rode a dragon 2 times before Euron 360 noscopes Rhaegal
>bought
hahahahhaa
you incels should stop being angry over how it ended. it isn't your story to write. have sex
stop making threads about this shit. Let it fade into obscurity forever so I never have to think of / remember it again outside of a few threads here and there every few years so I can shit on it just like we shit on other horrible finales / final seasons of other shit shows.
You don't own this board, nigga. You have three options: Join in, kill yourself, or fuck off.
>bran is now current year man
jesus
Davos always based
Yep, nothing odd about that. Nothing to see here.
Why do Reddit/jonfags still expect Jon to be king after kinslaying his aunt, lover, and queen he was sworn to? It's bad enough they let him live
what’s taking Jon so long. I miss him....
I wanted him to go full mad targ and conquer the world with Dany
Imagine being Ramsay Bolton in that rape scene and having to be all like "damn, Sophie, you fuckin' fine, all sexy with your rectangular ass and horrific androgynous monster face. I would totally have sex with you, both my character and the real me." when all he really wants to do is fuck another 16 year old in his dressing room. Like seriously imagine having to be Ramsay and not only stand behind Sophie Turner while she flaunts her disgusting body in front of you, the favorable lighting barely concealing her stretchmarks and sagging ass, and just stand there, take after take, hour after hour, while she bent over offering up her rear. Not only having to tolerate her monstrous fucking visage but her haughty attitude as everyone on set tells her she's STILL GOT IT and DAMN, SANSA LOOKS LIKE THAT?? because they're not the ones who have to sit there and watch her mannish fucking gremlin face contort into types of grimaces you didn't even know existed before that day. You've been fucking nothing but a healthy diet of blondes and supermodels and later alleged rape victims for your ENTIRE CAREER coming straight out of the boonies in Bongistan. You've never even seen anything this fucking disgusting before, and now you swear you can taste the sweat that's breaking out on her dimpled stomach as she sucks it in to writhe it suggestively at you, smugly assured that you are enjoying the opportunity to get paid to stand behind her and thrust into her "statuesque (for that is what she calls herself)" beauty, the beauty she worked so hard for with personal trainers in the previous months. And then the director calls for another take, and you know you could kill every single person in this room before the studio security could put you down, but you stand there and endure, because you're fucking Ramsay. You're not going to lose your future acting career over this. Just bear it. Hide her face and bear it.
>Why do Reddit
Please, stop with the buzzwords.
>still expect Jon to be king after kinslaying his aunt, lover, and queen he was sworn to?
Everything leading up to that was complete nonsense, and if Bran can become King for literally no reason, so can Jon. Everybody who wanted Jon to be King kinda forgot he was the rightful heir once being the rightful heir wasn't convenient to the plot.
its not that it happened its how it goes down and how Jon puts up 0 resistance to being exiled
We need to go back
That pic was clearly made by some Jon fag redditor who didn't mind Jon killing Dany but hated bran being king. Bran uniroincally makes more sense as king than Jon at that point. And I didn't mean anything against that poster
both are stupid but Jon still makes more sense than King Bran. also the way jon just meekly and without protest gets exiled by his own family just wasnt a good ending man the concept and execution are both shite.
since jon refused the crown then by all right GENDRY should be king... the fact that all the lords suddenly switched to DEMOCRACY out of nowhere makes no fucking sense. The lords themselves lmao' at the idea but then do it anyway. fucking stupid.
Bran being King makes absolutely no sense, and Jon not even being mentioned as a candidate doesn't make sense either. Who cared that Dany died? Grey Worm, who doesn't get a say; Yara, who is an Iron Born piece of shit and should want independence anyway; and...the Dornish Prince? Maybe? He should also want independence, just like Yara.
>Kill the queen
>Punishment is go be lord commander again
Why would he put up any resistance? He can just visit winterfell every once in awhile anyway, the show made it clear he didn't care about going anywhere else
dont forget how the north is readily given independence just by asking meanwhile the iron islands whove had a fucking rebellion for independence within the last decade dont even ask nor are considered at all.
Jon even fucking bends the knee to Bran. Absolutely disgusting. George is a fucking hack.
The script says he's literally going to be in Castle Black for the rest of his days
>lord commander of the non-existent nights watch whose watch is finished
nah hes fucked off to go freeze with whatever wildlings remain.
>killed the queen
the one no one else swore fealty to and will have zero influence the moment grey worm fucks off? why would they even honour this agreement in the first place it makes zero sense
>the show made it clear he didn't care about going anywhere else
Oh, you mean that line he said to Tormund two fucking episodes before the finale? Jon went from courting and wanting to put a baby in Dany and to just wanting to live with his wildling pals with ZERO explanation given. All so he could have a "bittersweet" ending.
given how much they dumbed jon down in the final season it really came across as Bran and Sansa manipulating Jon to give up all power and abdicate while they swooped in and divided westeros between the 2 of the with jon being too stupid and meek to object.
idk why i even came into this thread. Remembering all this bullshit just makes me angry....
Maybe its better to just forget....
Grey worm is literally the one holding the cards, he has the biggest army. Who makes more sense to pick as king, the guy who killed his queen, lover, and aunt, who has an army who wants him to face justice, or a random crippled noble? Jaime gets shit from everyone for killing aerys and he was just a bodyguard
Fuck off cunt.
>Grey worm is literally the one holding the cards, he has the biggest army.
Grey Worm left before the sentence could be carried out.
>Who makes more sense to pick as king, the guy who killed his queen, lover, and aunt, who has an army who wants him to face justice, or a random crippled noble?
The Targaryen rightful heir to the throne.
I'm just gonna leave my guesses here trying to make sense of what we were given
>dany lands in westeros
>takes KL, urged on by reddit dwarf (no retarded shit like s7)
>wildfire goes off in the battle
>dany is dubbed the MQ/Queen of the ashes
>she goes north to help jon snu to try and save westeros to make up for what happened
>he falls in love with her, she's not as bad as her reputation he finds out
>they win, i dunno how much time has passed with the long night at this point
>final part: dany's reign
>deals with the aftermath of the long night and westeros
>sansa and the starks plot against dany
>jon kills her when it comes time to pick his allegiance
>bran does some shit and gets crowned
>some people are mad at the queenslayer jon because he killed their side's queen
>jon gives up any claims he has if any at all, and bran the broken sends him back to the wall to rot as a part of some treaty of peace as his first decree
>jon accepts
the end
i don't see martin writing some black and white anticlimactic shit like s8. one of the biggest problems is that if dany is some unfeeling caricature of hitler, but it still all lovey dovey with jon snow then all the tension is removed from the story for some time. all you are waiting for is for some disney crap where he kills her because 100% he is in the right, but is that really GRRM's style? plus bran the broken i don't think is supposed to be a happy ending. it's probably very ambiguous and ominous.
>everyone colludes and agrees to lie to greyworm so he can fuck off
>grey worm picks choice
>grey worm fucks off
>grey worm has no more influence
>now vengeance filled foreigner loyal to a dead queen who no one swore fealty to cannot influence who will be king
>king is now chosen or whatever
this actually makes sense in reality grey worm had no power it was just the show being shitty and contrived
>let's honor the wishes of a foreign general who fought on the front lines to save us, losing thousands of men, by punishing the man who stabbed his queen in the heart during a kiss
Or
>lets go back on our word, and pick a retard kinslayer queenslayer, who doesn't even want to be king, as king, instead of this other noble who didn't do anything and would be fine, cause it's not like word will get out and he'll come back or anything
>no power
>massive army
No, if the show was hitting likely the correct beats, just kinda stupidly. It's not just Greyworm, Dany will likely take KL with other allies, that will not ally with Jon, her killer. She will win and thus her side is on the winning side after she BTFO out of Aegon and his allies. You can see this in S8 with Yara telling Jon to go fuck himself. Dorne in the show could've swung either way. There's no indication in the script that the NW is a fake. Originally Jorah was also going to the NW to serve but they let him die early, so GRRM must've said, yeah, send that fuck back to the NW.
Seems like a shit ending for Jon (the show ending was also shit for him, but it tried to spin it into a positive thing). GRRM does like to make blatantly evil characters, so he might want to abandon subtlety to make Jon's actions appear justified.
Not that it matters, since the bitter, old fuck is never finishing the books.
never said Jon should have been King just that how it went down made no sense at all chiefly of which was the fact tha Jon was barred because of nonsensical reasons. Tell me one reason why greyworm was even given a voice other than for the plot, nothing was stopping the westerosi nobles from lying to him to get him to fuck off.
meant for
Do you know who Dabid's dad is? They're not getting these gigs because they are good.
Same. I can easily watch the first four seasons without feeling bothered by the ending. They're so well written that I don't care.
Did Dany make Grey Worm work for free?
>let's honor the wishes of a foreign general who fought on the front lines to save us
Literally nobody cared about The Long Night. If they did, King's Landing would still be standing.
>losing thousands of men
Literally nobody cared about the Unsullied.
>by punishing the man who stabbed his queen in the heart during a kiss
Said queen just committed genocide, and nobody saw the kiss part (also a worthless detail).
>lets go back on our word
Literally nothing stopping them from doing so.
>pick a retard kinslayer queenslayer, who doesn't even want to be king
Want is irrelevant, and Daenerys had the full support of Yara Greyjoy AT BEST. The Dornish dude never even met her, so I doubt he gave a fuck.
>instead of this other noble who didn't do anything
Exactly. He did nothing. He's crippled, has no claim to the throne, worships the wrong gods and has ZERO charisma.
>would be fine
The first thing Bran did was give away the only kingdom he actually had a claim to. For free. He is a useless moron.
>cause it's not like word will get out and he'll come back or anything
What army? A few thousand Unsullied? Grey Worm doesn't control the Dothraki. Grey Worm doesn't control Drogon. The threat of Grey Worm is laughable. And he also is committing suicide by going to Naath.
Greyworm wad the general who lead an army that burned and massacred its way thtough westeros, he even personally led in the rape and murder of the nations capital. Theres no way someone like that would be given any amount of leeway in who the fucking King is, let alone against the man who saved Westeros fron the mad Queen who had 0 support in westeros minus grey worm, the ironborn and the dothraki which are all raping invading foreigners.
Nah, that would be slavery. I think only the army of the dead literally works FOR FREE
based
>fish lipped, buck tooth, lazy eye stare
why do women think this makes them look powerful
Not even rotting corpses would agree to work for free. Who the fuck would?
idk but i do want her to sit on my face like pic related
You forgot the part where Davos is at a cafe in Essos and sees Jon and Dany.
It's fucking westeros, they don't have a geneva convention, Tywin committed genocide, Aegon did, cities get sacked, holy shit. Jaime was hated for killing the mad king, and he was just a bodyguard, everyone knows Jon was fucking her, he stabbed her in the heart everyone knows it. It would look even worse if he killed her so he could be king instead. His leeway is he holds the city and has an army that can fuck up the country, and doesn't want jon being king
>he didn't stay after the credits
let's bum each other bros
>His leeway is he holds the city
Oh no! Grey Worm holds a city that has been burned to the ground already with his few thousand men! What a stranglehold he has on the entire country.
>and has an army that can fuck up the country
No, it cannot. Grey Worm doesn't control the Dothraki and has a few thousand Unsullied.
>Imagine being Ramsay Bolton
>tfw this is basically what Jon and Dany's son would have looked like
gotta love how he's still refusing to answer the simple fact that greyworm very easily could have been bullshitted out of the country and everyone could have gone about their business with greyworm none the wiser and likely dead fron the naath poisonous butterflies
>genocide
Muh geneva convention lol. If they go back on their word, he can come back, no reason to pick Jon, he's retarded too, there's literally no downsides to just picking bran over Jon
> And he also is committing suicide by going to Naath.
Yeah no he'll just leave after awhile since that doesn't kill you immediately. Seriously think how was Missandei or anyone from Naath enslaved if everyone just drops dead the second they land there?
>let's just lie to him and go back on it, he'll never know!
So stupid
Ramsay's fucktoy was a fine piece of ass, especially with that choker necklace, I wonder if he banged her IRL
??
Quick run down?
>If they go back on their word, he can come back
And do what? Where is this massive army that Grey Worm has?
>tries to reinvade an invasion he already lost
>a few thousand at most unsullied can defeat an entire continent when danys much bigger army couldnt defeat cerseis little alliance let alone a rested and more united westeros
lmao it stands to reaso that the user desperately defending this shit show doesnt have a clue
> likely dead fron the naath poisonous butterflies
Kek, I never realised that before, Grey Worm literally sailed his entire army to certain death
You only have like 24 hours before the butterflies start killing you, pirates sail to Naath, raid, capture slaves and then yeet the fuck out of there as quickly as possible
Maybe I lowered my expectations a lot based on the clear downward trend of the quality over the years, but am i the only one who was fine with the finale? Maybe just learn to take this shit for what it is
>Seriously think how was Missandei or anyone from Naath enslaved if everyone just drops dead the second they land there?
the butterflies sleep at night and do not reside near the coastal areas. Slavers come in at night and safely raid fishing villages while the few hours tops they are on shore is not enough time for the pollen to infect them. Grey worm states he will live in and protect the naathi which is the problem. In short, that nigga dead
And thinking Westeros would feel bad about Dany dying--so much so that would honor the wishes of a cockless foreign invader--is even dumber.
sophie actually isnt half bad looking when she isnt in that ugly sansa outfit
Can't wait to pirate their star Wars trilogy.
Nope, she's disgusting
Leave before someone posts her nudes
Why would I be satisfied with a filler episode that made no sense and had bad, Last Jedi-tier comedy?
It's a shitty TV show?
It's not about feeling bad, it's starting shit over Jon being king, no one would care
The finale was tolerable, it was the battle of the Long Night that really disappointed me the most
Did you not see the hitler speech?
The fuck are you talking about? Cersei's alliance got destroyed completely. Few thousand unsullied are enough to fuck up shit
Yes, which is why I wasn't satisfied. What's your point?
>Grey worm shows up
>Hey you can't stay here, the butterfly fever will kill you
>ok we're leaving then
That's it. Besides that's just oversight with D&D, missandei would have mentioned that if D&D hadn't forgotten about it
euron single handidly destroyed danies entire alliance
Yeah that episode was a mess, especially when you consider it was really the climax of the show. That said, I'm fine with arya killing NK
>killed some dornish
>destroyed some ships
>killed a dragon
>dany killed his whole fleet and all the lannister army
My point is learn to take this shit for what it is and don't let it get to you. The finale was perfectly fine for what the show had been for 5 years
And Dany's dragon single-handedly destroyed the Golden company.
>Did you not see the hitler speech?
I did. I saw Unsullied and Dothraki. There are, at this point, how many Unsullied? 4000? And again, Grey Worm has absolutely no control of the Dothraki. He never did and never will.
>Cersei's alliance got destroyed completely.
By Drogon. Only one person could possibly control Drogon, and it's not Grey Worm.
>Few thousand unsullied are enough to fuck up shit
lol at a few thousand Unsullied being able to take over the entire continent of Westeros.
>The finale was perfectly fine
The point is that it wasn't for the reasons I already stated. It was the perfect cap for the worst 4 episode run of a tv show I have ever seen, though. It was satisfying in any way.
The more I think about it, it was probably the best episode of the season
I love how they put so much emphasis on the need for Valyrian steel and dragonglass to fight the White Walkers and then proceeded to only actually show like two fights against White Walkers in the entire series, shit nigger you could have at least had Jorah die fighting a White Walker instead of some stupid zombie
>euron singlehandidly inflicts such heavy loses on danys army it completely self-destructs within months of invasion
>muh grey worm can take on everyone with his couple thousand unsullied
just stop dancing around the fact that grey worm had to leverage thats where this discussion started
> few thousand Unsullied being able to take over the entire continent of Westeros.
I don't think they'd care about ruling westeros they'd just slaughter and pillage at random, maybe bring the dothraki along
>few thousand unsullied defeated 25000 dothraki
>let's risk war with him for the sake of electing Jon who doesn't even wanna be king
best episode was the 2nd episode that was just pure filler but at least it wasnt actively dogshit like the rest of the season
They gave bear island loli a better death than jorah and fire sword guy ;(
>holds the city
>holds jon
>has an army
That's clearly the leverage
Did you just copy a comment from that Youtube video by that fat feminist, and made a thread about it?
Kill your fucking self, redditor.
>a few thousand unsullied defending a heavily armed city against lightly armoured horsemen is the same as rampaging an entire continent of armoured knights
>doesnt even mention only around 500 unsullied even survived that defense
youre just baiting at this point right
Even if it was only for 10 minutes, we actually got to see mad queen Danny. It still hurts that she never sat on the throne
>I don't think they'd care about ruling westeros they'd just slaughter and pillage at random, maybe bring the dothraki along
And they would be put down. lol at you equating all of Westeros's various armies to the Dothraki.
>let's risk war
It would be a very short war, because the Unsullied are vastly outnumbered.
Shit taste.
>ignoring the entire conversation where those 3 points of leverage have been debunked as nonsesical
??
>holds the city
An almost completely burnt down city with ruined walls.
No u
Hmm, I wonder who could possibly stop Drogon from burning down Westeros.
If the city was totally burned no one would give a shit about staying there, Bran is ruling from and they're rebuilding it, dany didn't even touch huge swaths of it
Did you miss the part where she systematically torched King's Landing for 40 minutes
>The King Who Didn't Care
After all the caring and the decisions he made due to caring in the prior seasons, Jon Snow actions in S7 and S8 made 0 sense.
Jon Snow, ie Aegon Targaryen would have assumed his position as King and taken the Iron Throne because he knew in order for peace in Westeros he would have to do it. The North would respect him, the Wildlings loved him and the south would most definitely fear him.
>let's have the unsullied coming back and slaughter the countryside and fight them for the sake of electing this dude who gave himself up for justice in the first place and doesn't want it
>If the city was totally burned no one would give a shit about staying there
People would care during the rebuilding process. Do you think a fucking torched King's Landing is of utmost strategic importance to the people of Westeros?
>it's almost fall 2019
>those assblusted spastics still mad about GoT-shit
fuck deal with it already, you joyless pricks
>let's have the unsullied coming back and slaughter
Ah, so the Unsullied use the D&D logic of teleporting into the Westeros with zero warning, and slaughter the commonfolk? You realize that Stannis, who had far more people, couldn't even take King's Landing. So how are the Unsullied supposed to be a problem for the entirety of Westeros?
You are so stupid it hurts.
>idiot still is grasping at the YOU JUST WANT KING JON strawman
Same way all the dothraki died on screen but later they're all alive again. And if you actually look there's sections of the city that are fine
They're not gonna rebuild if the entire city is destroyed, no one rebuilt harrenhal
your show is trash dabid
>>it's almost fall 2019
>>those assblusted spastics still mad about GoT-shit
>fuck deal with it already, you joyless pricks
Look twat, if we want to bitch and talk shit about GOT we're going to do so. you don't like it, go piss in a fuckin corner and fuck off.
>Nothing brings people together like a good story
Were d&d just being cheeky or were they just being retarded
no one rebuilt harenhall because its not only a castle which is much different than a city but it also took multiple life times, slave labour and bankrupted an entire kingdom kings landing is nowhere near that scale
>NOOO, STOP TALKING ABOUT A SHOW I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT!
>redditors STILL seething that their shit show had a shit ending
>almost 4 months later
These guys are shit writers, sure, but they're absolutely based for dabbing on all of you faggots.
GoT was shit from day 1 btw
Again, explain how 4000 Unsullied can land, completely undetected, in Westeros and not be put down immediately.
(You)
>multiple life times
Harren built it in his own lifetime though
Your mother was a terrible whore and a bad lay and she couldn't even finish off the top of the icecream cone.
>same show where euron flew around undetected
Not him but who's army is left to defend Westeros? The place is primed for Essos to conquer or enslave everyone for example, only Dorne has an army left
>implying rebuilding an entire city wouldn't be just as costly
Oh, so are we arguing logic here or D&D logic?
we've reached the point that Yea Forums defends season 8 out of contrarianism
no it wouldnt you should know the details of which you discuss peabrain
>implying those 2 are just regular anons
multiple generations of peasents/slaves we're going by the average life expectency not that of a literal king
The only defenses I have seen for season 8 are that it BTFO feminists (a lie) or schedenfreude.
Season 8 should be defended on the bases that the show has been bad for several seasons and normies only figured it out when they turned Danny bad. It's a pleb filter
Peasant and slave lives don't count as lifetimes. And lifetime after you reach adolescence wasn't fucking 40 which is how long it took to build Harrenhal, it was longer than that
And like clockwork, the schedenfreude fag pops up.
Logic would make the whole ending impossible to get to but at that point bran is more logical, he would be the only one to see them coming anyway
>rebuilding sections of a huge castle or just demolishing it and building a more reasonable sized castle, one in a great location also, is more expensive than rebuilding an entirely demolished city of a million people
we get it you arent very familiar with the backstory and have been talking out of your ass the whole time gotcha
Youre just jealous of his success
based
Nepotism is chad tier, everything else is cringe
That's what everyone thought. My main outline of S8 was that Daenerys will have zero Difficulties getting the Throne because the small Folk will revolt against Cersei and that everything that will come after Dany took the Throne will be huge. But nope.
>Tapping out before all the Highlights
it's Schadenfreude you americunts
> King Bran makes more Sense
Because the Lords of Westeros would elect some weirdo cripple, who also claims to be an all knowing Magician, as their rightful King. Someone who they've never met before and whose first Action is to randomly decalre independence over the biggest chunk of the Realm. They'd elect someone who knew about all the hundred and thousands that died at Kingslanding, before it happened.
>Jon wouldn't make Sense because he's a Kinslayer
he murdered a Tyrant. Jaime lannister did the same, and while he was widely disregarded, anyone still endured his later Position as a Knight silently. But Jon was a Hero to the small Folk long before that. He is known to be a great Leader and good man.
>bran is more logical
No, he isn't.
>he would be the only one to see them coming anyway
He could see them coming, king or not. Thank you for bringing up Bran's powers. Another good reason to just lie to the Unsullied.
fuck off dabid your show is trash
Yeah, but how the fuck did he have the biggest Army ? They all literally should have died in Winterfell but then they just lost half of the Strength and in the last Episode it seemed as if they just doubled the Number that Dany had in the first place ? When they loose their Cocks they gain the ability to respawn or what ?
>but how the fuck did he have the biggest Army ?
He never did. Even if the Unsullied were 8000 strong (somehow), that's still nothing.
>Great leader
>got killed by his own men and only was king for 5 minutes
>makes retarded plan and gives the night king a dragon
>Good man
>killed his mentally ill girlfriend who loved him after she saved his life, instead of just giving her a hug when she needed it
Fuck jon
>makes retarded plan
Idiot. The one who made the retarded plan is now running Westeros through a cripple. Said guy also committed treason with zero negative consequences.
All tyrion did was suggest to bring a wight he hadn't seen the night king like jon or anything, jon didn't have to go himself or cry for help. Fuck them both though, would take anyone as king over Jon even if it makes no sense, he should've just been killed. Not that guy btw
>All tyrion did was suggest to bring a wight
So he absolutely made the plan. He sabotaged Dany's entire invasion of Westeros for no reason, and now he runs the continent, besides the North, through a cripple.
My local movie theater and bowling ally has claw machines stacked to the top with funko pop Daenerys figurines. Kek. You couldn’t find one of those if you wanted to a couple years ago. Now they can’t give them away.
I honestly commend D&D for getting the audience, mostly women, to root for Danny, despite the fact that they knew she was going to burn an entire city and kill millions of people without any justification whatsoever. People are still offended over it, and I still laugh about that Black Girl on Twitter that managed to point out the obvious that many of Dany's fans are White females who can't over the fact that support a tyrannical, mass murdering, colonizer, no different from White colonizers in real life they hate so much.
>White colonizer
>in the books essosi aren't brown they're all different races just all the extras in Morocco or whatever were brown
>lived in essos her whole life
>colonizer
>Frees people instead of just taking their shit
>Frees people from an oppressive empire thousands of years older than westeros
???
By the end of season 8, she plans to conquer the entire world and have everyone bend to her will if Jon didn't stab her before she tried it. The British Empire is responsible for ending modern slavery as we know it in the world. It doesn't change the fact that they colonized literally hundreds of nations. Danny wants an Empire on which the sun never sets.
based
>It was okay when Aegon did it!
Which was a last minute chuck in. The argument makes no sense because people didn’t love her knowing that’s about her. It was a stupid nonsensical last minute twist for ratings. There is nothing to be analyzed about the show and there hasn’t been since season 5 people just lied to themselves and continued making stupid theories for no reason.
>Gets traumatized a bunch of times and snaps and next episode she wants to rule the whole world all of a sudden
>It was a stupid nonsensical last minute twist for ratings.
No, they did it because the fat hack told them that's what they wanted. It was nonsensical because they wanted to pander to Dany fans and sell merchandise, THEN implement the fat hacks ending at the last second.
Fucking boomers
Never listen to a nigress. She would spout all that shit and turn around and be a big Jamie Lannister fan because of he’s a chad that makes her hot between the legs because she’s knows somebody like him would treat her like the nigger she is. Jungle bunnies. Not even once.
Medication time, user.
>Character goes mad from shitting herself in a field and being sick for a couple weeks
Vs
>Character goes mad after seeing a bunch of loved ones die and getting betrayed
Show's better
>Show's better
The same show that had everybody try to stab Dany in the back for no reason? Where Sansa tried to scheme against her nonsensically? Where Jon couldn't stand being in the same room with her, but kept leading her on for no reason? Where Varys forgets that marriage exists and also tries to backstab her nonsensically? Where Euron can kill a dragon with three consecutive hits somehow? Where Dany couldn't see Euron's fleet somehow? Where Dany forgot about said fleet somehow?
The Mad Queen shit seems contrived either way, but the show version is even less believable than shitting oneself and seeing visions. GRRM at least had the sense to introduce the fAegon plot device in book 5 and not midway through book 7.
Well if this thread is any indication, there's nothing that brings people together like a bad story.
Just marathoned 7 seasons of GoT, is there a good write up why season 8 sucks? Not going to watch it.
paced too fast sums it up pretty well imo. Also they waste the White Walker storyline. Fucking jews
Sadly D&D are in the tribe and nothing short of them fucking every other tribesman at the same time outta shekels will ever run them outta there.
Also apparently the way they made the contract out to fatfuck is that any future tv/movie adaptations always have to go through them.
They've not only fucked a franchise into the ground they'll insist on fucking the corpse for years to come
>that's what everyone thought
People were making excuses up until season 8 episode 3 senpai. You still got retards who think remaking season 8 will actually help somehow.
Thing started to go to shit way before season 8
based, fuck got
Watch it just for Emilia's acting. She really did an amazing job with such shit material.
DONT DO IT. Dont watch s8
it will destroy all the good memories you had from the previous seasons
i cant rewatch GoT anymore because of the final season
I doubt it. Stannis might end up losing to the Boltons, but I find it incredibly unlikely that he's going to burn his daughter. Littlefinger and Daenerys downfall is already way better setup than it ever was in the show.
Dios mio...
I doubt he's going to end up losing control of the actual situation. But it's incredibly obvious that Sansa is somehow going to be his downfall, if only because of his weird yandere crush on her and her mom.
One thing S8 did ok is giving Dany a good arc, albeit rushed (but the whole season felt rushed so whatever)
I'm 99% certain that Jon Snow's true heritage, Mad Queen Dany, and Circe blowing up the notvatican are book outlines. Not sure about King Bran, anything involving Stannis and the Boltons, and Circe and Jaime's ultimate fate.
Is girlfriend a codeword for himself here?
>Not sure about King Bran,
Lmao cope
>One thing S8 did ok is giving Dany a good arc
lolno
No, I genuinely find it unlikeable considering the whole reason why Bran ended up becoming King was pure D&D nonsense. If he does end up becoming king in the books, it has to be for a very different reason.
Bran becoming king is 100% GRRM. Sansa seceding and becoming queen might be fanservice. Bronn becoming Lord Paramount of The Reach and Master of Coin definitely is fanservice. Same goes for Sam becoming Grand Maester and Gendry becoming Lord of Storm's End.
>cripple
>preteen
>can't have kids
>worships gods none of the Great Lords of his kingdoms worship
>only loyalty is temporary through an uncle and weak cousin
>no army of his own even if North doesn't secede (good luck marching them to King's Landing in time to help Bran if war or rebellion breaks out)
>no money
>alleged to be dead
>ASOIAF has several elective monarchies historically that are more corrupt, bloody and destructive than hereditary
>rest of the kingdoms remain hereditary
>elective monarchies irl turned hereditary anyway
George is a hack
>dies of heart attack
We all know it's inevitable.
I wonder who is going to end up finishing the books in his stead.
Bran is a Children of the Forest shill and being manipulated by them.
Here is what my friend and I came up with for AFTER S8/ Dream of Spring:
> Bran in KL
> Things are fine but Bran incrementally seems "out of tune" and slowly goes back to the Old Way, while getting more tyrannical (or at least seeming)
> Jon is beyond the Wall
> Far North finally can build and propser without the threat of the Others
> Jon becomes King Beyond the Wall (KBW)
> Jon starts building towns and cities
> Free folk and Northerns begin doing trade
> Free folk begin to trade ivory, wool, fish, whale oil, exotic furs, etc to the Braavos, Ib, and the North
> Bran watching from KL
> Jon learns the truth about the Pact
> CotF having been playing the long long long game
> If the Others hadn't destroyed Men then a greenseer will infiltrate their strongholds for CotF
> It's Bran the Broken
> Bran begins propaganda against kinslaying cousin, Aegon VI Targaryen
> carry on with increasing tension
> another War for the Dawn occurs
Jon is rightful king.
King twink
Dead plot device.
