Dont know who this is but BL is shit

No hes a fucking brainlet, and there is a central plot, the point of it is that that plot isn't the center of the movie and it's more about the experiences of the dude as he goes through it

God, this is such wannabe Tarantino dialogue. This is embarrassing.

>reddit man talking about reddit the movie
>doing the same thing reddit the movie man does

hypocrite much?

I want to fart on the writers

This is just cringy try hard dialogue. The Big Lebowski is definitely overrated at this point but it is by no means a shit movie.

The real question is why the fuck is a vampire eating food.

100% BL is their worst film and the "cult following" it has inspired is a stain on their reputation

I've honestly never seen the whole movie nor wanted to, but everybody I've ever met who loves it is a total fag, so I think its a safe bet that its bad and its garbage and that everybody who likes it is wrong and into being a total faggot.

Dude, ready for this years Fest?

Ha. Loser convention, right, Mr. Lahey?

He was better as Rudy 1.

that's a bad bet, annoying fanbase doesn't take away from a good film

He's not wrong, he's just an asshole

No.

Last time I ignored a bad fanbase, I watched a Tarantino movie. Big fucking mistake that was.

The comic has an amusing convo where Jesse and Cassidy say they like Laurel and Hardy better than Chaplin. This feels like they wanted to do something like that but they didn't have any actual insight, just went for the lulrandom reputation of Lebowski

I've watched BL three times and only laughed at the parts with John Goodman yelling at Steve Buscemi. Other than that, I don't see why BL is considered Coen brothers' greatest movie.

I think A serious man is far more funnier and entertaining than BL

What about the big lebowski doesn't make sense? It's absurd but it all fits together

Why would I take anyone seriously who consumes ketchup and has tattoos

>BL is considered Coen brothers greatest movie

Its not there greatest. Its just the most popular and well know

I thought No Country was their most popular?

retard

Nope.

Shitbirds randy.

It's a funny enough movie, but I wouldn't say it's some profound comedy that deserves a cult following. The dialogue in the OP's scene is banal and says even less than the movie it's mocking.
I do, however, think Hot Rod is a profound and hilarious comedy and deserves what little cult following it has.

what idiot wrote that dialogue? big lebowski has a plot, it's not some try hard art house movie.

It has an incredibly straightforward mystery plot that the protagonist literally explains entirely at the end of the movie
If that mystifies you, then you are too retarded to seriously discuss movies
If you have other gripes but are unable to articulate them beyond saying there's "no plot," then you are still too retarded to seriously discuss movies
I'm not even saying that The Big Lebowski is that good but if you're going to be a contrarian and pretend you're too intellectual for popular movies you need to read a fucking book and know how to say what you're trying to say

"It's not supposed to make sense"
Excuse me, what? When did that ever apply to Big Lebowski? The story is pretty straightforward, there's only a "non-sensical" dream scene, which is self-explanatory because, well, it's a dream.

The fuckin war, man

>Tarantino dialogue
I don't know what movie the wembm is from, but several (especially the early works) of Tarantino is about the journey and not necessarily the cookie cutter plot plot we are used to. Easy life-diversity-failure-montage-overcome
See That in itself has merit if you know how to deliver it which Tarantino excels in

This. How is anyone too stupid to understand this? I can get not liking it, fine, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. But criticizing Big Lebowski for not having a conventional plot is like criticizing Bicycle Thief for being too depressing.

All “cult followings” are cancerous faggotry, and make normal, intelligent people question liking the thing in the first place.

you are out of your element

It's better than Barton Fink, which is still a solid movie.

I thought he was talking about Lynch.

I had more fun reading the script to Barton Fink than watching the actual movie. That sounds nerdy as fuck I know, but it’s a really good script.

Who the fuck says Lebowski doesn't make sense? How do you even misunderstand that movie when it's so straight forward?

>a man who likes weed and bowling is sent on a mission to recover a woman that was apparently kidnapped, but levels of intrigue appear as several people seem to be gunning for the ransom money including the "kidnapped" woman
it's not fucking hard

>watching movies stoned

Embarrassingly retarded
