It really pisses me off when you are enthusiastically trying to talk about something you enjoy or enjoyed or reccomend something and people don't even entertian the idea of listening to you. Its just rude in my opinion. If a girl a girl did that to me on a date i would straight up walk out. This grill at work seems to do this shit to see how much she can push my buttons and get away with. How the fuck am i supposed to respond to someone being openly rude to me like that?

Well, your original mistake was describing the movie to somebody who clearly wasn't interested. You can't just ram your enthusiasm down people's throats like that. The way that normal people do this is to say that a film is good, and then leave it at that. If people ask for more information, provide a short 1-3 sentence overview. Rambling on about something is just going to bore people.

Secondly, you need to be aware that this woman is obviously a dumb bitch cunt. She probably wouldn't understand or appreciate any film you enjoy, so don't bother talking to her about them. You need to learn that you are literally wasting your breath on people like this. Women like her do not actually have genuine preferences: if she is sexually attracted to a man (ie. not you), she will claim to enjoy anything he likes, just to make him like her. An attractive male could take her to see Tarkovsky's Stalker, and she would say she loved it just to make him like her, in spite of the fact that she clearly would not understand it at all.

Thirdly, this woman was obviously disrespecting you because she clearly perceives you as a low-status male who is clamouring for her attention and approval. If you don't change your behaviour, her treatment of you will never change. You actually kind of did the right thing by using her own tactic against her, but I'd say that this may be a problem because it actually reduces you to her level. A better tactic would be to not autistically screech about any shit at all to her in the first place.

But you aren't standing up for yourself if you just ignore the situation and keep talking, Addressing that she is ignoring you is standing up for yourself. Now you're just being passive agressive, just as cowardly as letting them walk over you
