Theyd ruin it ofcourse

how many niggers will they shoehorn in THIS time?

They would probably just make Charles Porter a major character.

Amazon Prime original with 2 seasons confirmed starting with a prequel about rapture and following into the events of the first game

Mark your calendar

This has never ever been confirmed by anyone
Fuck you OP

See you in 177 days

How well does the original game hold up? Is it worth playing?

Incredibly well. 100 percent worth playing.

The first game has a few mechanics that are pretty fucking clunky in 2019, namely the console controls and hacking, but you get used to them and most mechanical problems in Bioshock 1 are fixed in it's sequel

It's still one of the best games of the 2000s

When you're a noob like me, it's fucking annoying because dying doesn't make you reload the level, it fucking sends you back into the level as it existed when you died, so each time you die you have less ammo.

Actually, since most of Bioshock characters have flaws and can be called bad people, none

The game is amazing, only real flaw is the amount of broken bridges

unironically a good character, though

it's still fantastic
t. didn't play it when it came out, so am not tainted by nostalgia like I am with the virtually unplayable KOTOR

I just played kotor for the first time a few months ago, it's fucking great, what are you smoking?
I couldn't do kotor2, though. 2deep4u writing.
In Bioshock related news, Burial at Sea is still, to this day, the worst DLC I have ever played. It was so bad it managed to retroactively ruin 1 and 2, and somehow make Infinite even worse.

i cant wait for the game to have better writing than the adaptation

I'm replaying the franchise right now and I'm about half way through burial at sea part 2.

It astounds me to no end the level that they butcher rapture. They take the anti individualism messege of Bioshock 1 and crank up the heavy handedness to the point where it has completely become a joke of itself. Like, I know Infinite was a bit less subtle than Bioshock was with it's messege, and that's fine, but when you return to rapture I expect the same quality as the first game. Like look at fucking pic related. It's like it's a fucking joke to them. God damn it pisses me off

Not to mention burial at sea part 2 creates the first major plot hole in the franchise. I mean, there are minor inconsistencies in any franchise, but the logic just doesn't add up with what is explained in Infinite (which I will continue to debate actually has no major plot holes as long as you understand the game universes logic).

I'm still mad.

Literally inevitable

whether or not this is true, would it focus on the rise and fall of rapture or something else

Not all black characters have to be unlikable, user

Season 1 is a prequel
Season 2 is the first game
That's all we know

Not unreasonable to assume if the first 2 are successful season 3 and 4 would lead into the second game

torrent when?

Either 10 years ago or in over a year depending if you are talking about the game or the show

user please don't let me down

Why would the announcement come on Valentine's Day 2020? Is it significant to the game?

I'd rather season 1 focus on the rise of Rapture. Then season 2 the fall and leading into the first game.
This way, if it's bad, then it's just a prequel series that I can avoid.

There’s a reason why when the discussion of video games being considered art takes place, Bioshock is brought up as a prime example. One of my favorite games of all time and I replay through it in its entirety every year for some 10+ years now

Game itself is boring trash (regular fps) , but the WORLD BUILDING and atmosphere is an absolute milestone.

A show, even with reusable sets would cost hundreds of millions. And you just cant frame and light this shit like some run of the mill action show.

No but new year's is. Maybe op got his date wrong

Sounds like season 1 won't be more than a political drama, which works perfectly.

The setting actually could be done on the cheap. Rapture is a very claustrophobic and tight place. Set designs would be small and VERY reusable.

Simple effects too. Greenscreens wise, you really only have to cover the windows looking into the ocean

>announcement
wow it's fucking nothing
