Teen Movie of the 2010s

The 80s had Breakfast Club
The 90s had Dazed and Confused
The 00s had Superbad

What’s the definitive teen movie of the 2010s?

unironically good boys

lmao these legs

"the package"

For me, it's Becca

>The 90s had Dazed and Confused
american pie ya fuckin tard

coming of age movies where the main goal of the protagonists is to get laid are really irrelevant now. i don't think there are a lot of people who are now turning to college age who haven't lost their virginity already or something.
it's all superhero movies now

21 jump street maybe?

For me it's Super Dark Times
It's not about the partys or the drugs it's just about how friends would react to an accident.

dazed and confused was not a teen movie. maybe eurotrip

>i don't think there are a lot of people who are now turning to college age who haven't
Haha totally

Studies say the opposite.

Wow you're the worst

>90s had Dazed and Confused
I wouldn't count that. "Definitive teen film" to me means it reflects the times, which D&C obviously doesn't. I'd give the 90s to something like Can't Hardly Wait or American Pie. Even Superbad feels a lot more like "late 00s/early 10s" rather than the whole 00s.

As for 2010s though, I guess it'd go to something like Booksmart or Blockers, but American Vandal is the only thing I've seen that actually nails 2010s teens perfectly.

fpbp

>Teen Movie

I'd like to have a discussion based around this topic so please refrain from your >lol tfw virgin jokes faggot
i don't know what studies you refer to, but there seems to be a shift where simply normal and boring guys turn into incels and what used to be jocks turn to chads who smoke weed and fuck around a lot. either way, the incels hate the promiscuous lifestyle and the chads don't need to see pg13 movies to know what it's like to party and fuck
that's just an opinion with no basis anyway

>12
>not teens
LOL get a load of this sheltered cuck.

>superbad as for 2000's
Umm sweetie,that's not mean girls

Keep stating facts. Incels crying is medicine to me.

>knows nothing of what he’s talking about
>wants to have a discussion about sex in a Superbad thread
kill your self pretentious faggot.

have sex, not my fault the incel population is growing while we're fucking bitches left and right.

jeez that’s embarrassing lol, done yet?

He's right though

Have you had sex yet? That's right. Don't punch up to us Chads when you haven't gotten laid yet, incel.

Stop worrying about people having fun and have it yourself bro

>let's just have retards complain about how lonely they are instead because that's fun and original
also what you posted didn't contradict what I said. I said the slightly below average turned into ultra virgins, and the jocks of the 00s turned into manwhores, with few average guys remaining. It's the Pareto principle applied to teenagers, now go fuck yourself

continuously embarrassing yourself. i would stop now if i were you, but thankfullly I’m not.

See
Also have sex

>>i don't think there are a lot of people who are now turning to college age who haven't lost their virginity already or something.
>men in college age range are now not having sex more and more
>not disproving what you just said
Yikes lol.

And I continuously said that the incel population was growing for a reason. So we both agree, you just hate the plain facts because it hits hard.

Yeah, this is a good one

what facts? you’re not posting anything remotely considered proof lol

Well this thread derailed quickly lmao

Here you go nerds, the quintessential 2010's teen movie. I used to watch this before every party I went to in highschool. You went to parties too, right user?

legit

y-yeah, user, i did

Perks of Being a Wall Flower

>"hey, you're just like zelda from the games swinging that sword around"
>"I think you mean link. he's the playable character from those games"
>"whatever"
the most realistic part of that whole movie

Booksmart, Easy A, Blockers...Spider-Man: Homecoming?

Zoomer teens don't watch movies, they don't have an attention span.

teen movies unironically contain the ages ending in 'teen'

What? I saw the first movie but its just based on thw damn tv show.

>The 80s had Breakfast Club
the normie pick of course. real ones know it's the last american virgin

Hell yeah bro, whats your longest beer pong streak?

I don't know about the others but napoleon dynamite is and will always be the most timeless of teen movies

Dazed and Confused takes place in the 70's. The most related 90's teen movie to 90's teens is probably Can't Hardly Wait.

Movies became irrelevant after the 2000's, so for the 2010's it's probably some Netflix show.

err... 25?

Lady Bird

The Kings of Summer gets my vote.
>Zoomers sick of the Boomers shit
>Chad gets the girl
>After getting cucked, retreats to his own world to be alone

I'm partly meme-ing but it's a great coming of age film even if my greentext is somewhat true.

what the fuck. my friend said he did that before every party. matt is that you

Holy shit man thats insane! you and your boy must have been pretty good!

Hi Taylor

This. Movies like Can't Hardly Wait, American Pie and 10 Things I Hate About You are way more 90's kino than Dazed and Confused.
It has to encapsulate the decade it was made for.

Scott Pilgrim

>dazed and confused was not a teen movie
please explain

Booksmart!

Holy shit

I wanna say Adventureland, but it came out in 2009. Honestly I think either The Spectacular Now or .

I like Super Dark Times but it's too serious. I feel like balancing comedy and drama is what decides this.

dude look at that link I sent you

why do you want a movie about zoomers? Smartphone-era teen comedies are bound to be cringey

As opposed to your Reddit tears in every thread?

>Adventureland
Wasn't that set in the 80s?

Keep crying virgin lol

Oh shit this is about when they take place? Haha I'm retarded. Thought it was just about release date.

>Teen movies are only from Hollywood
Have sex, incel.

stop

whoops was thinking of fear and loathing for some reason

Swap 90s with Mallrats

Only one answer

Attached: inbetweeners.jpg (699x467, 74K)

huge disappointment, the series was perfect but this was bland trash. The second one is okay, but it also pales in comparison to the series.

This. It’s a classic

This came out in the 10s? I thought for sure it was from the 2000s

This was pretty funny, not gonna lie. I don't think it was really pushed by Netflix though

Half of it is when it was set and when it was released. How it affected the youth of the decade when it came out. I think think Adventureland is an honorable mention though

How do you have sex when your dick is the size of your thumb?
Must be hard chad microdick.

Unironically seconding

21 jump street is shit and jonah never did anything decent until 2013

This is literally every fucking thread.
have sex lol!
No one takes this board seriously.
At least the autists on Yea Forums or Yea Forums can talk about shit without resorting to sperging memes.

I mean I can say as a zoomer Adventureland is my favorite teen (ish I guess since they're college age) movie of the past decade or so if that counts for anything.

>superbad and 21jumpstreet both have jonah hill
Can't have two coming of age movies for two different generations with the same cast. Plus its hardly a coming of age movie, just cause they are in highschool pretending to be teens
movie was shit and its more of a parody of coming of age movies
Only seen it once and its not that memorable, and since its early 2010's its barely a zoomer cast
same casting as superbad and its barely 2010's, only three years after superbad was released. otherwise it is pretty zoomer

Mean Girls better represents the 2000s desu

For me, it's The Edge of Seventeen

Attached: 10qt.jpg (900x474, 86K)

it annoyed the shit out of me that ladybird got fellated and this was relatively ignored

Agreed. I thought Ladybird was alright, but it felt like it was trying to be the movie that captured the spirit of a generation, so it came off incredibly forced at times. This movie wasn't anything groundbreaking, but it felt natural and fun, and I'll take that any day.

pretty much how i felt about both of them as well. plus woody and whatsherface had great chemistry.
