I wouldn't say she was forced, but it ain't as simple as you make it out to be. There's lots of factors at play, including her meeting Tessa Thompson (who was pushing this shit from way back) in late 2015 and by 2016 Brie suddenly starting to get political, on social media and so on. These kind of changes don't just happen overnight. We are a byproduct of our environment. There's literally anons who knew Hollywood would fuck her up.

Even if you don't take it literally, she did offend more than just a few incels. The biggest issue is that this happened right when she had her chance to shine.
Look up literally any video of her pre-Disney and the comments are all positive. She was an unknown but she was making her way up the ladder. And them *snap*, just like that she shit the bed. Obviously some people will still like her, but the situation could've been a lot better. She had the potential.
