How is Joe flanderized? He has several episodes where he does shit out of character. J.D from Scrubs specifically switched between le whacky comedy relief to serious guy. In later seasons he specifically is the opposite of le whacky guy and he gets some balls. Replace J.D with the Janitor and you're sorted.

Kevin wasn't flanderized. They just straight up changed his character. He was the incredibly boring guy for the first three seasons and then in the fourth he all of a sudden become the goofy retarded guy.

I barely remember scrubs and I didn't see anything past season 8. JD seemed much better in the later seasons than early on though of course he was never the strongest part of the show.
