I always thought Slifer was the coolest but all three designs are pretty sweet

I hate that Slifer is the only one that didn't get nerfed. They nerfed Ra so much he's now the weakest of the three God cards. It's ironic that in the show they put such an emphasis on special summoning Ra from the graveyard, and then when they finally turned him into a real card they made it so he can't be special summoned at all.

These were so fucking lazy. The Ra knockoff is the only one that looks significantly different.

Egyptian God Phoenix is a different card though.

The only change this card needs is that it can also be summoned from the deck when Ra gets sent to the graveyard, that's all.
When Immortal mode goes to the graveyard you get the sphere.
Legal Ra should just be some fancy Yubel that the opponent can't get rid of.

There's lots of things you can run to get Phoenix into the graveyard first. I've got a Marik based deck that's basically cards that just let you keep bringing out Ra then Phoenix three or so times using some fairly simple deck to graveyard and graveyard to deck cards.

The reason why it goes to the grave if special summoned is due to cards only effecting the god mons for 1 turn.

He's the only one with a fixed Atk stat. Slifer needs you to have a hand of 4 to be as strong, and that is unlikely. No need to mention Ra because he's trash.

I guess it is too hard to make that a blanket effect since most cards didn't effect them at all, but some had a temporary effect.

It creates too many weird ruling decisions to have the blanket "one turn" rule just due to equip cards, continuous cards, cards that activate in one turn then wait and have a second effect activate in another turn, etc. The special summon rule keeps the "spirit" of the anime card even if it's obtuse and a bit retarded.
