Why do you? SM2 retreads Peter's conflict about whether he wants to be Spider-Man that was finished in the first film, spends an absurd amount of time on a ham-fisted romance between Peter and MJ, and completely wastes its best asset in Alfred Molina by giving him 20 minutes of screentime.

Actually he was pressured by the studio to include him when the script had already been made, at which point he said he'd be more interested in Carnage, but they refused. Some rewrites to the scrip were then made and you got what you got. Still has more soul than most Spidey flicks desu.
