Halloween 2018 should’ve used it as cannon. Yeah, Laurie being Myers sister was dumb but it’s a solid movie.
Could’ve had it that Myers survived the fire, Loomis died. And Myers face is all hamburger meat now

This is a good opinion user. Well done.
This was the last movie where Myers was creepy as fuck. The hospital security cameras showing him slowly coming is still creepy
The movie itself is fine, but Laurie is our protagonist and she's bedridden for 80% of the film. The sibling twist adds nothing to the story, it's nonsensical.
I have to agree. Plus, Myers being unable to be located after the events of Halloween II would've left the door open to more possibilities and opportunities for Myers to strike or appear at any time. Having him locked in the hospital and escaping again was not only unrealistic but lazy writing.
I honestly prefer the Halloween 2 theme to the original. It sounds more mechanical which makes it scarier. I can’t really explain it but that’s the feeling it gives off
I didn’t mind Laurie being bedridden. Better than her becoming Sarah Connor clone.
It left more time for Myers killing people and he had the coolest kills this movie. Letting that nurse bleed out was brutal. Stupid Jason could never do anything that innovative
It's the last one I saw in the series by Carpenter, so can't really compare beyond that one, but I'll say it's better than the first one. As an unexpected bonus, I kinda like the Rob Zombie ones. They're flawed as fuck, but I feel like he could do very interesting work some day if he grows out of his teens.
Am I the only one who doesn't consider Halloween II (1981) an actual sequel? It's more of an extension of the first film if anything. I consider the first two movies one big movie.
It absolutely doesn’t feel like a sequel, the way it’s edited and the atmosphere makes you feel like it’s just cut footage from an even longer movie. Still great
I do too. It really should just be Vol 2.
Myers mask is the best in this movie as well. I guess the reason why it’s more smashed in is because Nick Castle kept the mask on his pocket when they weren’t filming
>Could’ve had it that Myers survived the fire
Being burned alive wasn't the only thing that happened to him. His eyes were shot out and he was basically blind at the end of Halloween II. No sequel following this made or would've made any sense. I think it's the perfect ending to the Myers story, but retards wanted him to come back over Carpenter's Anthology idea which they should've always did without hesitation.
Halloween 3 sucked. Only contrarians latch onto it. Myers kicked off the slasher era and it was the rage of the 80s.
Vol 2 still means sequel, retard
It's a better film than that thorn cult and H20/Resurrection trash combined.
No it doesn’t, retard. It means it’s one continued story broken into two parts. Why nobody considers Kill Bill two movies.
IT was one book broken into two parts because nobody going to sit through a 5 hour movie.
I like H6. Both the theatrical and producer cut.
I always liked Halloween II (1981) but the dumbest shit was Loomis shooting a .357 into his eyes and it not blowing his skull open. They needed another way for Michael to be blinded in that scene

> Katee Sackhoff is fun in the film.
> Sara Moyer is a good final girl.
> Myers mask isn't perfect (shows eyes too much) but much better then any from H20.
> Fuckawful Busta is almost worth it for his pic related face when Myers effortlessly turns the tables against him.
> Some cool, creepy shots (myers looking down after getting hanged)
> Opening with Laurie is a lackluster end for the character but it's still a decent sequence.
> Score is better then H20.
It's fucking mindblowing that the guy who directed H2 directed this.
> Some cool, creepy shots (myers looking down after getting hanged)
Nice putting 3 in top tier. Hated the movie when I was a kid. Watched it as an adult and loved it as a stand alone horror film.
The best thing about 2 was the kills for sure. That first kill(?) Where stabs the chick in the throat is brutal. It was creepy like the original but added gore which is nice.
holy yikes
>2 as masterpiece
>both remakes acceptable

What do you mean? I placed Halloween II (2009) in the shit tier It was a terrible follow-up to the first which was a better movie. I liked the ideas and direction Rob Zombie took it. Plus, Tyler Mane as Michael was the most intimidating.
>Tyler Mane as Michael was the most intimidating.
He was too big. Myers is supposedly to be average size so that he just blends in.
