3 was the best because they kinda ran out of plots to steal so the characters had to carry more. 2 was better than 1 because they again had to be more creative than referential
Season 3 had way less sci-fi shit tho, aside from episode 1 and 7, it was all mediocre family nonsense and shit jokes, explain yourselves.
Rick and Morty has shows with really strong premises and creative Sci if beats. The memory one is a great episode that shows this but man oh man, they can get lazy. Whenever they spoof a movie or genre it just seems like they wrote all the jokes the day of airing. There's been a pretty steady decline of quality since season 1, with season 3 having a lot of these filler episodes that are just spins on a certain trope or something. I like watching it because it's one of the better shows on TV but boy oh boy does they idea of a 70 EPISODE + season just sound like the most awful thing ever and will probably destroy Dan Harmon
