It's still good but nowhere near as quality as it used to be.
It's an entirely different show now, but unlike the Simpsons its still pretty good for a show piggy backing off its success a decade+ ago.

they adapt to whatever is going on with the world
they have that freedom because it takes like 40 minutes to make each episode, including the 15 minute lunch break

Seasons 15-19 = decline

s1 will probably seem pretty lame but there are some funny episodes. s2 was their (first) sellout season so it's pretty bad. s3 is decent. s4 +s5 are great. starts to get a little worse after that and then plummets after s8

It annoys me how "Hey, fellow Kids" this show is. Even way back in the 90's they were capitalising on popular youth shit like having Korn as guest stars. Watching it recently and they had pewdipie on, it's so fucking cringe. These blokes have to be in their late 40's at least by now. And it really dates the show, having everything be so topical and current trend.

Korn was cringe before the meme was even articulated, even most of the fans kind of felt this, it was actually pretty good satire the way they used them in that episode. They were not cashing in on Korn's popularity by appealing to the fans. You deeply missed what that episode was about if that's what you walked away with.

The dramatic music to cue "PLOT TIME NOW!" is really getting on my nerves.

The show ran out of steam when they could only come up with 2-3 jokes and repeat them throughout the runtime. Early seasons were weird and looked bad but the dialogue and humor had a better flow. Even non-topical recent shit like the water bears episode was so basic, expecting a cartoon reference (retard and mimsy) to carry the whole thing.

Referencing events from a long time ago has a benefit of hindsight not present in a show like South Park.
