This film is one of the best criticisms of capitalism, it ain't just a cheap jab at rich people like many american films do

Stupid fuck
If capitalism sucks why don't you move to Venezuela or North Korea?
>criticisms of capitalism
Deleted.
Name 3 things wrong with capitalism that are not any worse than the issues that would arise from alternative systems.
You shouldn't get triggered by this. The left has been fed a lot of lies for decades about capitalism. They have no idea what they're criticizing.
how tf you niggas watchin this shit without booking a fuckin flight to Incheon?
>POOR = SMELLY
Wow, what a deep and complex observation.
If you had any culture you'd know this shit's been done quite abundantly, and better.
Are the subs good?
are you the same nip posting the same shit
Those countries are even more repressive than the US, dumbass.
Rarbg, bro
why has no one uploaded this to mega
RESPECT
Cast the unevitable american remake
Hard working buisnessman who loves his family with mentally traumatised kid getting kill by lazy fat fuck and his family just because he was afraid that their fraud is about to be found also "you smell", "wryyyyyyy"
5/10
Pretty decent
Now this is poor bait, or both of you are fucking retarded. It shouln't surprise me neither.
>his daughter got stabbed by some lunatic
>instead of going for the killer he murders his boss who been nice to him
Defend this, weeb
Which streaming service do I need to subscribe to to watch this?
Also which streaming service is best for far east cinema, is there a dedicated one?
Kissasian
JAV Junkies
The dad clearly explains it in a previous scene, retard
>nothing matters
>live by the moment
Given that's how the character thinks and acts, killing someone that treated him like less than shit souldn't be so hard to guess, faggot. He was impulsive, never actually giving a fuck about anything. He just saw the rich dad as guilty as anyone.
>What? Another Asian kino?
/pol/cels can't see the words criticism and capitalism in the same sentence without throwing a fit and trying to immediately defend their tribe
Yeah right. They had a chance to be heroes and riches would forgive them and allow to work further, but no, daddy went full retard. Keep telling yourself that this is kino and "oooh, capitalism bad, die rich pig, I rather be poor and smelly, and nothing else matters"
You seen the film? Okay. Why did the housekeeper come back to the house during the storm with a busted up face? They characters comment on it, but its never revealed why- if it wasn't significant why bother at all? They don't have Checkov's gun there?
Film was okay. Mediocre example of Korean "watch out for le twist" kino
whites vs niggers. Prove me wrong
Sorry that real life isn't like your stupid capeshit, you fucking mongoloid.
I walked out of the cinema on this one, it was too silly. Beoning was a better criticism of capitalism.
>Beoning
I couldn't understand your question.
But the old housekeeper returned because his husband was left alone, without food or water. And his face was busted because of the peaches that they gave her before they fire her. God damn, did you even fucking watch the movie?
Pls explain the stone to me
>best Kino of 2019
>not Godzilla: King of the Monsters
more than half the people who post their opinions on this movie here get something wrong, and they use the thing they got wrong as their main argument as to why the movie was bad lmao. this board is sub 100 IQ
I got 76 IQ on an online test.
>"Everyone who doesn`t appreciate muh asian film must be a Marvel fan"
It`s not very effective...
It was some sort of pottery, to express dramatic irony. It was something that suppesedly, shoud bring them fortune, success and shit, and it was also used as weapon by the retarded son, but it turn out the other way. The symbolism of the stone says that "luck" in a world were everyone is trying to climb-up the ladder to success means shit.
wasn't the son going to give the stone to the basement guy as an offering of peace? he didn't know the maid would be dead in the basement, and that the basement guy would be murderous.
>implying
If you think that this movie conveys what you were saying, you're as stupid as a Marvel fan, dumbshit.
cope
Well, he said to his dad that he was going to take care of the situation, and come up with a plan. Giving the emotional state that he was in the previous scene, and the way he sneak in the bomb shelter, I thought he was supposed to kill them
I think he's just attached to it at that point and doesn't want to let it out of his sight. The rock is a scholar's stone, it's something that Asian scholars traditionally will decorate their desks or offices with, and the son wants desperately to go off and succeed academically like his friend, so he feels like the stone is some promise of that future.
>torrenting your jav
shiggy
i'll admit javjunkies is better than javlibrary in terms of keeping track of daily releases
I thought the housekeeper had a busted upface because she was roughened up by the debt collectors.
He pointed to you real plothole and weak scenario, you weren`t able to parry it and lower yourself to insulting. You do realise that in Korea it was a commercially oriented movie just like that superhero movies that you like to bring up? It`s a caper-like comedy that turned into weak out of nowhere climax and tearjerking final where hero reunited with his father. Don`t try so see deepness in a shallow picture.
>tearjerking final where hero reunited with his father
Are you being sarcastic or what? That was him daydreaming, he will never free his father by buying that house. Honestly this makes me doubt your intelligence.
He never saved him
Remember the plan never works out theme
>He believes that father and son got reunited at the end.
Well, that explains everything about you, isn't?It wasn't a plothole just because you didn't understand it, and less of a weak scenario when all the fucking movie builded that climax. I never said that this film was deep, but I can appreciate why some people think so. You, on other hand, won't think but shit.
>pirate bay
>yify
And all he needed to do is marry that rich girl...
The film doesn't even present it as a noble or sensible action, he becomes imprisoned and there's no telling whether he actually gets out or not. What it's communicating is that wealth and poverty are not exclusively tied to the material. Regardless of how the family's lives improve as they implement their plan there's still this sense among them that they don't belong because there's also a psychological component to the class system, rooted in things like behavior, perspective, genetic hygiene, etc. The envy and disdain traded between the two fathers is just a manifestation of a millennia old struggle that's thoroughly entrenched in the human mind.
Did you just shut the film off at that point? It immediately transitions back to reality and the likelihood of the son accomplishing what he couldn't even before he got a brain injury is highly unlikely.
>They had a chance to be heroes and riches would forgive them and allow to work further
This would never happen
We don`t know it. Maybe he didn`t. Maybe he got rich. Maybe his father is long time dead in the basement. Nethertheless, smart enough with all that acting skills and foolery but too dumb to get his father out from foreigners house.
With mommy like that? "Oh, you saved my son from a killer, how can I ever pay you back?"
Well, given that he has
A) Brain Damage
or
B) Traumatized for the rest of his life
It shouldn't surprise me that he can't come up with anything realistic or insightful at that point.
If the police didn't find out by identifying the daughter corpse, sure they would've had by interrogating the mother or tracking down the info about the hurted son. It his scheme was fucked.
Be realistic. The poor family made a fool out of them and they were constantly 'crossing the line.' She'd never tolerate them. Think of how she cut off the housekeeper.
Guys...it`s an asian movie. You don`t look for logic in anime.
Btw Bong's interview about the ending
>it will take 547 years for Kiwoo to buy the house with his paycheck (if he doesn't spend a penny)
Some people asked him whether the movie's open-ended.
> I thought it would be cruel and irresponsible to make it open-ended or give any hope about the situation. I wanted the ending to be honest.
I mean why was her face busted up, they explained the husband thing pretty clearly. The peach allergy was still showing symptoms months later?
This would have made more sense, but why not just say debt collectors.
I'm aware I'm obsessing over something unrelated to the plot, but it did stick in my head when it wasn't resolved later. Goddamn.
He would be making a better salary if he made it through university, but it's made pretty clear the sister got the lion's share of the brains. Pretty hopeless ending.
let me guess? Western nations are the wealthiest because they stole everything from brown people and eastern bloc nations are still in recovery decades later because that wasn't real communism
It's only been a matter of days after the housekeeper was fired, she says this in the basement. However, the face injuries probably aren't a result of the peach allergy, because there's nothing wrong with her face in the hospital or the scene where she's fired.
It would make more sense if the showed how new owners cement the entry to basement or something like that. But they said that they are germans meaning they can go out for a while and dad can escape or be rescued.
There wouldn't be a reason to cement the entry passage because they have no idea it's there, the father's escape depends on the fact that it's a secret. He can't leave the house however because he's wanted, he has no means of starting a new life back in his home.
>Chemotherapy is pretty bad
>WELL IT'S NOT AS BAD AS CANCER, WHY ARE YOU WHINING ABOUT
Kino. Where's that interview?
Got 65 IQ, that's fuckin bullshit
Anyway movie is bad like 4/10 didnt explain why the dad killed the rich guy, retarded gook
>criticisms of capitalism
Yeah, I definitely need more of that.
>didnt explain why the dad killed the rich guy
Didn't have to, brainlets need not apply.
It's not a criticism, it's an observation. The poor characters are flawed and frequently the cause of their own troubles. The rich family enable the parasites that feed on them through their lack of character. Both sides of the fence are inadequate in different ways.
>Korean film
>either the father dies or the daughter does
>this time the daughter dies
Every time
The in-depth interview is in Korean, but he mentions a little bit of it here.

If you die poor, yes
>Lets have this normal family just murder two people in cold blood for the hell of it
This is your brain on Hollywood.
>Let`s ruin kill hardworking familyman who`ve been nice to his driver only because he overheard him complaining about the smell
This is your brain on anime
The smell was a metaphor you dumb nigger.
It's indicative of the greater condescension from rich to poor, and envy the poor feel. Park is everything Kim isn't, and he develops a deep resentment over it.
"That psycho from basement who got us into trouble just stabbed my baby girl, she`s bleeding in my arms, I`m gonna kill him on the spot...wait, I actually envy mr Park because he`s rich and I`m poor and he was talking about me smelling bad, it`s a metaphor, but we were discussing using different soap with my family...daughter, you still alive? Hold on...remember how bad is capitalism? Well, you know what I`m gonna do? I`m gonna kill that fucker Park...because...because he thinks he`s better than me...REEEEEEEE!!!"
>People keep bringing up how Parasite/Snowpiercer are CAPITALISM BAD
>They never mention that despite the initial situation being less than optimal, any confrontation between the classes just fucks everything up for everyone without resolving anything
It's okay if you don't get it, you know. There's no need to embarrass yourself.
It`s not ok to cover plain stupid twist with "well, it represents this and that, director wanted to tell us...duh, plebs wouldn`t understand"
climate change denialism
It's not a twist, it's a result of careful characterization and plotting. Obviously plebs won't understand because you're here spouting nonsense.
>some people are poor
>some people are rich
woah...
