>Dude, we're safe in the basement!
>NO, WE'RE SAFE ON THE GROUND FLOOR!
All they had to do was go upstairs with any supplies they could find and destroy/block the stairs. They would have been untouchable.

90s remake is the better film
yeah, well I say we go on the roof! Who's with me?
I enjoyed the remake but fuck no it wasn't
The interview with Romero and the director of Phantasm on the late night New York 70's talk show included with the NotLD Criterion blu-ray is pure kino.
As Joe Bob Briggs observed long ago, the black guy knew what to do, and the white guy caused all the trouble. So, it was the first "Democratic" horror movie.
For someone whose literal first zombie movie was the remake (also on Monstervision with Joe Bob Briggs IIRC), it's hard for me to appreciate the original other than as an academic exercise. Barbara is a useless non-character in the original and spends long periods not even being in the film.
The NOTL remake was the thing that got me thinking how I would go about zombie-proofing my grandma's one-story prairie home with long basement windows and access. The situation was hopelessly fucked. Also white guy was an idiot for not seeking high ground but he was concerned for his daughter it should be said.
>the black guy knew what to do, and the white guy caused all the trouble.
this is also a fictitious movie not within the bounds of reality at all
t. live in a majority black city
>the black guy knew what to do, and the white guy caused all the trouble
Except that is bullshit the film proves Harry right because Ben ended up completely safe till morning after locking himself in the cellar.
very good pro 2A film
no she's completely retarded. remake version is 100 percent better
I love the original, but I legitimately like Savinis film more. I like the characters, aesthetic, and score over the original. Tony Todd is phenomenal in it, and the guy playing Cooper is great. The actress playing Barbara is a dish as well, and a hundred times more interesting. When I watch them, I watch the 90's Night, and the original Dawn and Day.
>Tony Todd is phenomenal in it
GOD DAMN YOU! GOD DAMN ALL OF YOU!
>Cooper, I've got a shotgun out here. Open this door, you motherfucker, or I swear to God I'll blow it to shit!
So is Yea Forums not a puppet /pol/ board because this film is about racial injustice.
The ending credits song of the remake is GOAT

it's no question the remake is better. original is slow as fuck (pacing wise) and barbera is a complete retard. The real question about remakes is DotD and I lean toward the original on that
Are any of the new NOTLD versions worth watching? There's one from 2006 and an animated movie. I heard they were terrible.
Ben wasn't written to be black
No, pol is retarded and no its not about racial justice. any race tones were after the fact, it was just supposed to be a ripoff of last man on earth
Themes like that are fine as they exist, but you can dislike have identity politics and lazy gender/swaps without being /pol/.
I like both as well, but I still prefer the pace of the original Dawn.
you are obsessed. seek therapy
That's saoirse ronan
>this film is about racial injustice
This meme needs to end. Watch 2:55.

No, this is anecdotal ex-post facto justification via later events not known to the actors at the time. The proper military/survival tactic is to seek high ground. This tactic applies, here as well. The black guy was right, and I'm not a person otherwise disposed to utter that phrase.
Do you buy into those theories that there are only a few celebrity faces that get reused over and over?
>she's completely retarded
That made her very believable. She just checked out of the situation, making it worse for everyone.
You are kind of dumb huh
>seek high ground
This is almost always better, as well as having an egress route, which the basement doesn't have at all.
Why do I care what that faggot has to say about this movie?
Stop being a fucking retard
