How do you feel about going to the theater alone?

I prefer it.

it's good

Ill go to the restaurant by myself but i dont like going to see movie by myself its more of a social experience most times.

cinemas are a complete waste of money.

I fucking love it. Don't need to worry about where my GF wants to sit, and I don't have to entertain dumbass questions.

I'm the opposite. Eating alone feels weird. At least it's dark in the theater.

Theater worker here, we usually have private security personnel on-staff to shadow single men who enter our theater unaccompanied by anyone, especially if they see a children's flick. It's just a security risk that we're not willing to take.

Was this supposed to be funny

I hate going with people because I'm always scared that they don't like it.
If this is real, I've lost hope for humanity.

I've never gone to a theater alone. The last time I went to one was with my mom 5 years ago (I was 20)

i push it a step futher i like going when absolutely nobody in the whole theater. im so autistic i cant even be in rooms with other people i wait until weeks after a movie comes out and go early to afternoon just to guarentee nobody else be in there. then i pace around during the movie cuz sitting in those hard uncomfortable movie theater seats (the old places who havent updated to the new reclinging seats anyway) too long hurts me bad back and i can walk around and sperg out freely without normies judging me. god i hate normies and people in general, life would be so much better if i never had to interact with any people

i hate seeign a comedy without someone especially if its something they drag me to see cuz its something they think its gonna be great because then i gotta fake laugh the whole time and its probably obvious im fake laughing / chuckling just to make it seem like i like their shitty movie and they prolly know i really hate it oh well fuck them this movie is gay

Look at it like this: Do you even remember how any other person looked in any screening you ever went to? Even that loud obnoxious kid that you wanted to literally murder that time 3 years ago, if he passed by you on the street today would you have any clue or recognize him in any way at all?
You wouldn't 99.9% of the time, and this percentage is even higher with actual normalfaggots who are beyond obsessed with themselves and forget about not only the people, but entire movies that they saw too.

So if you're just a person who goes to cinema alone, you can be sure that no one thinks or remembers you in any way at all as soon as the screening is over, even if they literally pointed at you in the theater "look at this guy sitting alone haha" you're non existant as soon as the lights go out and the film starts.

i havent made a single friend since high school and have pretty much spent the last 10 years being a friendless loser so yeah... thats pretty much every movie for me.

If I EVER see you pacing in my kinotorium, I will pull your fucking dirty underwear over your ugly face. You fucking hear me, kid?

I'm agoraphobic so I don't see how it would be pleasant at all

I went to a RiffTrax Live Fantom Events thing the other day and it was literally an entire theater of guys who looked like the comic book guy from the simpsons who came alone. First time I ever felt like I was in a room full of my people when seeing a movie! Sick of seeing these hunks rubbing the fact that they can get girlfriends or have groups of friends who will go to movies with them in my face everytime i go to the movies! ITS LIKE WE GET IT, PEOPLE LIKE YOU!! STOP RUBBING IT IN!!

It's fucking great. The only problem now is actually having a movie that you want to watch at the cinema.

>tfw local kinoplex is showing LOTR for three weekends
Maybe I should go.

Damn, got some FBI security going in this theaters now. Guess we got to start to worry about everyone. When did being single/alone and independent become so abhorrent and strange to people? We all have to have bodies next to us with phones in our faces to seem normal? Wtf?

i literally never go to movies anymore. all that comes out now is kids movies, capeshitter crap, SJW comedies full of forced diversity, shit Fast & Furious type action shit and other such garbage.

I go with my Mum to watch arthouse flicks at the one arthouse cinema in town

Libs are trying to make being a virgin / guy with no friends illegle now. Because they finally realize ALL THE VIOLENCE IN DA WORLD IS BY WHITE ANGRY INCELS!!!!

Everywhere I go, I am alone. Why should the theatre be any different?

When I was a kid it was a social thing but one time all the tickets were sold to some Paranormal Activity as soon as I got to the line and all my friends had purchased tickets already. Bought a ticket to Pacific Rim, tried to enter the Paranormal Activity theater, got stopped. Went to see Pacific Rim with the plan to slip out, never did.

I prefer watching movies alone now. If it makes you feel awkward just go to the matinee.

The whole trilogy? I would go in an instant.

Just sit at the bar if you're 21 or older. I mean you could even sit at the bar if you aren't 21. But people who eat alone at restaurants sit at the bar.

AMC theatres has Sensory Friendly Screenings. It's for autistic shits like you. Lights are on. Volume is lowered. And you can run around the theatre, screech, or masturbate and no one gives a shit because you're autistic and that's your normal behavior. I suggest you ask the ticket seller at your local AMC about Sensory Friendly Screenings next time you go.

Columbus?
