This, except with Angel and Spike just broing up it up (no homo) and antagonising eachother while having adventures, instead or relationship drama. Their interactions, and Wesley, were the best thing about the last season of Angel.

I never liked Buffy all that much, but by the mid seasons I fucking hated her, and by the end I was only watching for Faith and Spike.

Spike was the true hero of the series, starts doing good deeds when he's still soulless. He isn't cursed into being good, like Angel, but seeks out and earns his soul back through suffering. Then goes out a true hero making the ultimate sacrifice.

Spike was the best character, with the best arc, and the best actor in the whole show.

Riley was the perfect guy for Buffy but she was just too butthurt about Angel breaking up with her so she treated him like dogshit until he left town.
