Byron Castillo, a player that was nominated by the Ecuadorian NT is in fact Colombian, he was born in Tumaco Colombia and he has never done any nationality paperwork to become ecuadorian, thus, HE COULD NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY FOR ECUADOR
This means if everything goes according to plan while lawyering up, Chile could win 5 points and Ecuador losing those points, ending 4th thus qualifying instead of Ecuador
The proof came from a completely unrelated trial where it was proven Byron isn't Ecuadorian thanks to a birth certificate. If there isn't a name mix up, this is huge and Chile would definitely lawyer up. Since the World Cup is in November there is definitely time to get it resolved by then
