They turned it into the Morgan & Friends Happy Fun Time Show. Everything that the first three season built up was tossed away at the beginning of S4, when the new showrunners wanted to add Morgan.
Since then he’s become the main character, and his idiotic idea of everyone needing to be saved has made the show worse. There are no more stakes, and the characters from the first three seasons all act like mini Morgans.
The only good characters now are Daniel, who still acts like himself (mostly), and John.

I read that article, but really nothing interesting has happened in the past two seasons besides Nick and Madison dying. Not that one of the new characters dying would be interesting, since they’re all planks of wood.
All the antagonist they have fought are boring. They’ve had a season set in a hurricane, and one next to a broken reactor, and nothing interesting happened in either one.
