What's the verdict anons?

How was it? Where would you rank it against other QT films?

A few weak parts and dragged a bit in the middle, but overall my favorite QT movie in the last decade or so. I'd put it at the lower end of the better half of his flicks.

Tarantino is finished.

Scenes women will never understand the movie

So it is as good as they say it is.

I really enjoyed it. Probably my favorite Tarantino movie it's honestly a great comedy more than anything else I think peoples problem is that they think it's some kind of drama

This comic actually was what sold me on going to see it, and it was in fact kino.
Also, Charles Manson is in one SCENE, not one "shot". Stupid woman can't into film terms

I’m so tired

1. Pulp Fiction
2. Kill Bill
3. Hollywood
I like how their main criticism is that the Manson clan is portrayed as evil, and get their comeuppance. Yeah, if Cliff killed some random teenager out of the blow he'd be a shitty person, but they were breaking into a fucking house to stab it's occupants to death.

Isn't this his last movie?

It also shows that the retard knows fuck all about the actual story and that Charles Manson literally never killed anybody, and it really was Tex and the girls who killed Sharon Tate

He said if it flopped. So far it doesnt look like it. My theater was full anf everyone.was engaged.

No love for Reservoir Dogs user?

Wasn't a masterpiece by any stretch of the means, but it's still pretty fun. All of the August 1969 stuff were the best bits of the film.

He's doing a Science Fiction type of film next, and then he's done as far as directing goes. He might still write which I think is the best thing he does personally.

I hate Tarantino and his anti-white movies, but this one was kino.

>but this one was kino.
but it was not that by any means.
>I hate Tarantino and his anti-white movies
you are a dumbass

>anti-white

Name ONE director active in Hollywood who has a more cavalier use of the word "nigger" than Tarantino

It's my fourth place.

Attached: 1562408701571.png (478x483, 155K)

like 5th best out of his 10 prob

that is fair I would probably say something like

slow as fuck with nothing happening
strictly for old people

It's 100% kino, tho it doesn't feel sometimes like QT work, so I can't really compare it to his other movies

It’s by far his best film.

behind Pulp and Basterds, somewhere around Jackie Brown and Hateful 8, way better than Django and Death Proof.

That might be my top 3 ranking, based user right here

all the leaves are brown...

good, but i would have preferred to watch it as a mini-series, like too old to die young. Would have had more time for brad and leonardo antics plus a better build up to the big scene.

overall, a good time.

>fetish film
>all the feet are c-tier at best except for pic related
>long shot of Leonardo DiCaprio's soles indicating actual literal homosexuality
Quentin is either slipping or he's just been pretending to be a footfag all this time, all those hippie feet were disgusting and filthy and anyone so inclined can find way better feet in 20 seconds on pornhub

Attached: Screenshot_20190818-224639~2.png (932x1473, 1.89M)

bad times at el royale was better and it wasn't even a tarantino movie

wahh wahh the characters in a movie aren't white knights wahh wahh I can't accept differenty types of people. It's all so tiresome Yea Forums

That movie was basically 'Pulp Fiction at a Hotel', but it was still pretty good.

A mid-tier Tarantino film. Still great just has some stuff that drags on. Too much car driving with no dialogue.

Inglorious Basterds and Django are still better.

This was made for us LA fags, you fly over shits and east coast fucks can fuck off.

>I'm so tired of this bullshit
This cunt is like 17-24 at most, what does she honestly know?

i liked it
it was like the big lebowski tarantino style

for me it's kill bill, reservoir dogs, then hollywood

>"Why, yes, I can beat Bruce Lee. How could you tell?"

Attached: 1566159526265.jpg (324x456, 85K)

I loved this movie. Best ive seen in theaters in years.

If she's that young, then she shouldn't even be tired of this bullshit because seeing a cast that white is all but extinct. Even commercials have mixed gendered couples and fags everywhere

lmao. literally seething

>horror
>Star Trek

IS THIS THE TYRA SHOW OR DID THIS TURN INTO NIGHTCALLS ALL OF A SUDAAAAAA *brap*

Go suck doyer dick fagit.

It's great, I loved it more the second time and now I think it's probably his best since Jackie Brown.

It's already been determined to be one of the best pleb filters ever created and is certified kino.

i.e. proof

Attached: 1562640947195.jpg (1080x1394, 290K)

Why do you fags scrounge through Twitter finding posts from randos and get mad at them?

This pic is suppose to make you avoid the movie, but all it does is make me want to see it again.

>all it does is make me want to see it again.
Do so! It goes by in a flash after you've seen it once and you can focus on all the stuff you missed the first time.

It was comfy as fuck and one of the best movies this decade. This movie is a slow burn until the end but that shouldn't be an issue unless you don't give a shit about the characters or are autistic. Not Tarantino's best but its definitely my favorite.

Attached: 1565910625437.gif (288x136, 669K)

Women are so fucking retarded. All that cartoon does is give me a higher opinion of the movie.

Pulp Fiction > Django Unchained > Inglourious Basterds > Kill Bill > Once in Hollywood > Kill Bill 2 > Hateful Eight > Reservoir Dogs > Jackie Brown > Death Proof

This is the patrician ranking for non-contrarians.

Films like Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction and to an extent Django are amazingly paced and fun watches from start to finish.

Kill Bill 2, Reservoir Dogs and Jackie Brown are great watches with subpar pacing but carried by great actor performances.

Basterds, Hateful Eight and Hollywood are long movies with amazing standout scenes stuck in movies bogged down by an over-emphasis on cinematography and overly long takes.

Once Upon a Time is the funniest of all the films, but also the worst paced one, and the one with the most superfluous scenes. The atmosphere is great, but if edited down to be a 2 hour movie it could approach Pulp's level.

Pulp Fiction is still best. Kill Bill is second. Nothing will ever change that

I don't like any tarantino films outside of pulp fiction and I really liked this one

Dilate

Tell me Yea Forums, is it possible to create caricatures in entertainment mediums anymore?

His worst film. A meandering masturbatory miss. He desperately needed an editor in Django and Hateful Eight, now he needs a producer to step in and tell him to write a coherent script. This was his weakest work by far, even worse than Death Proof.

Of course, there are little contrarians who loved this shit film because they think QT thumbed his nose at SJWs.

Filter doing its job.

This is my favourite Tarantino film cuz I don't like that many Tarantino films.

This is easily one of my favourite movies though. It's just fun. I like Brad and Leo chemistry. Love the music. Margot Robbie is hot as sin. You don't even have to invest anything into this film. It's just good man.

That comic is right but for the wrong reasons. The flaws in the movie are there not because Tarantino's a sexist or racist, it's because he's a hack. The movie spends more time with pitt driving around than it does with women not because Tarantino's a sexist, but because his movie is an hour too long and filled with filler scenes that are supposed to be "atmospheric" but don't go beyond showing a 1960s car. He uses extreme violence against women not because he's sexist, but because he realized that his pointless meandering waste of time had accomplished nothing by the end so needed a big flashy violent ending to make it seem like the whole movie built to some explosive climax.

But oh man what a shit comic

>Once Upon a Time is the funniest of all the films
In what reality? The dialogue is so fucking bland. The only funny scenes are the Bruce Lee scene and the ending

Pulp Fiction > Inglorious Basterds > Kill Bill > Django Unchained > Jackie Brown > Kill Bill 2 > Hateful Eight > Reservoir Dogs > Once in Hollywood > Death Proof

Attached: kathleen-turner-says-friends-cast-unwelcoming-920x584.jpg (920x584, 62K)

It was really good, maybe not trascendental but yeah, and I would rank this one as:

1. Pulp Fiction
2. hateful eight
3. Once upon a time in hollywood

All in all our ranking is pretty close and I respect ur opinion.

Imo these scenes were funny:

Brad kills his wife
Bruce Lee
Leo fucks up the lines
Leos trailer breakdown
The lil girl scene
Ending

But you're right, there are far more missed than hits, it's only that those hits are amazing home runs.

Off the top of my head, Reservoir Dogs has the cover story, Pulp Fiction has the golden watch, Basterds has the Italian scene, Django has the Schultz bar scene, Kill Bill the Hanzo scene - and although they're all hilarious, the ending of Hollywood might be the funniest Tarantino scene

This list could only be made by a zoomer who can only remember movies that have come out in the last 5 years or are on the reddit top 10

Can't stop thinking about it so I guess that means good.

Are you implying that kill bill inglorious basterds and jackie brown and django are better than once upon a time? Only inglorious has a stand in that fight, but I don't think that 3 scenes make up for an entire movie

And I get that reservoir dogs can be argued to be number 2, but to me, hateful eight was a less theatrical reservoir dogs therefore making it better while also having better camerawork

1. Pulp Fiction
2. Kill Bill
3. Hollywood
4. Dogs

>Charlie is in one shot
Wait, what? When did they show him? I missed that.

Literal brainletism

>women are equal
>wait don't show extreme violence against women
someone explain this to me.

My feelings exactly.

To be fair the "scene" was so disappointingly short it may as way have been a still shot of his face for 5 seconds.

I thought Leo was Charles Manson in the last third of the movie because he had a similar haircut.

Then write and direct your own fucking movies. People like this don’t deserve to breath.

I legitimately can't imagine being so fucking miserable and brainwashed that every single thing is racist to me. utterly incredible

pleb thread, hollywood is NOT in tarantino's top 3
from best to worst

pulp fiction
kill bill
inglourious basterds
slave nigger,
res dogs,
death proof
jackie brown,
hollywood,
four rooms part
from dusk till dawn half
hateful 8

stick to marvel, soicuck

The most boring film ive ever seen.

If I had to rank it, itd be his 10th, because no way he can create anything shittier

All surface, no depth. Which is fine for a short movie but not for 3 hours of Quentin jerking off on the screen and showing off.

>but I don't think that 3 scenes make up for an entire movie
irony

>Pulp Fiction > Inglorious Basterds > Kill Bill > Django Unchained > Jackie Brown > Kill Bill 2 > Hateful Eight > Reservoir Dogs > Once in Hollywood > Death Proof
yikes, opinion discarded

too much feet

This makes me want to watch the film

>We're supposed to cheer when buff Brad Pitt beats a teenage girl's skull in
Because she was trying to fucking murder him and everyone else in the house?
What are the odds this bitch thinks Sharon Tate is a fictional character made up for the movie?

Attached: 1563682686774.gif (330x270, 2M)

He's been saying he'd stop after 10. Once Upon a Time is his ninth.

I think inglorious is his best. Then pulp then bill then jackie brown. Everything else was meh for me. Really like OUATIH tho. None of his others really even come close to those 4 for me

completely missed it, can someone tell where the scene was about?

He's the creepy guy who comes up to rick's house and asks if the old owner still lives there.

I saw Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill and Django too many time so I figure that I'm getting a bit tired of them. Still have to see Reservoir dogs, jackie brown and death Proof so I won't put them into the rank
Once Upon A time=Pulp Ficition>Kill Bill 1>Inglorious Basterds>Kill Bill 2>Django>Hateful Eight

Ah that scene thanks, didnt even hit me when i saw it

How disconnected from reality do you have to be to draw these conclusions from these scenes? Would watching those hippie girls disembowel pregnant Sharon Tate have been more empowering?

I hope he casts Alexa Bliss for his next footkino

Why did Charles get life in prison? Why did he get arrested in the first place?
It makes no sense

he was the leader of a cult that had murdered people

I know but thats not a crime. If being a cult leader was a crime youd see every Jewish, Muslim, and Christian priest rabbi and slime in prison
He also wasnt even at the crime scene so how did they come up with the fact "he orchestrated it"
I believe were being lied to about the event

Watch Jackie Brown next, its underrated as fuck. Very enjoyable. Then watch reservoir dogs. You can skip death proof

3/10

Another shitty QT flick

He's literally Orson Welles 2.0

Started off great, then turned into a lazy fat old shit who does half assed sloppy movies

he made a self-aware movie about himself. he represents Cliff and Rick at the same time. bold move.

Who are you quoting?

Top of the low tiers

>he uses the word nigger so it is ok
Retard. The guy wishes he was black and has a track record of disliking white people(Django, the hateful eight).

In all fairness, it's pretty distasteful when Bruce Lee gets mocked and Roman Polanski doesn't.

here's Tostinos film legacy:

>four rooms
complete dogshit and yes this counts no matter how bad he wants it not to

> Reservoir dogs
rip off of city on fire

>Pulp Fiction
decent, but only because of Roger Avary and a B- at best

>jackie Brown
great film. funny how he can only tell a cohesive narrative without "muh disjointed chapters" when the material isnt his.

>kill bill 1
rip off of lady snowblood

>kill bill 2
trash

>death proof
the less said about this one the better

>inglorious bastards
decent. suffers from meme chapter directing. the shtick gets old

>Django
fucking horrible

>hateful 8
his second worst movie (next to DP). what a waste of good talented actors and 70mm film on what essentially is a boring as play.

>once upon a time in the hollywood
aimless, directionless and ultimately vapid vehicle for nostalgia bait and foot fetishism. ending is a rehash of the historical revisionism in Basterds.

tortallini is a meme director loved by first year film students who think he actually ever made anything worth a damn. Tarantula is a hack. Telling movies in chapters is essentially a get out of jail free card. Have cool scenes but don’t know how to tie them together? Fuck it. Just make disjointed chapters. Total hack.

My biggest problem with this movie is the amount of elements that feels like they are just there.

I know he was adding real characters but they never feel like they fit the story.
I think he could have worked on the script some more.

Overall liked it but far from being one one of my favoritrs.

The more I think about it - the more I want to see it again.

I initially thought the Lancer scenes went on too long. However, this review really helped to put that slow pace into context - it's incredibly convincing:

youtube.com/watch?v=MHC9i6z3nrA

I enjoyed it but I can see why some people wouldn't. I think if you didn't know the time period and the story behind Sharon's murder then the main tension of the film will be lost on people. It had a great build up of making Sharon look like an absolute angel, which is used in the last part of the film knowing the oncoming dread that might happen.

The characters were fun to watch too. Seeing how much Rick regrets his attempts to be a movie star and how insecure he is about messing up his lines. Him helping out Cliff but also being too self centered that he treats him as a handy man. Cliff just being a bro.

Attached: nom.png (729x522, 290K)

>we are supposed to cheer when buff brad Pitt beats a teenage girls skull in
Fuck yeah we are. Do millenials just not know about the Tate murders? Do they not realize that this “teenage girl” broke into a home and savagely murdered a pregnant woman? Christ.

>have no idea who Sharon Tate was
>didn't read anything about the movie pre-release
>only found out it was about the Manson family when the credits rolled
You could say it's my fault that I was disappointed by it, but Quentin deserves some of the blame when he writes a film that is essentially 90% a character drama when that's not what the point of the movie actually was
He went way too far with the footstuff this time -- even my normalfag family are creeped out by it now. The cutaways started to get pretty tiresome after a while, too; it began to feel like I was watching Family Guy

Attached: 1559252431557.jpg (154x200, 9K)

That's like saying Hitler did nothing wrong because he didn't get his hands dirty.
What are you user, a freaking neo-nazi or something. like ohmygod.

Thanks for the review, I can't believe I did not notice the western parallel of Rick on set while Cliff was at the Manson's ranch. Its making me want to go see it again.

>only found out it was about the Manson family when the credits rolled
You didn't notice when all the creepy hippies made a big deal of "Charlie" being away?

That story about chopping pinkies off, i read it first in a roald dahl small story collection. But its used a lot.

Its based on reality (except the ending) he is the guy visiting tate's house and her friend/ex tells him off.

They would if they openly told people to kill others. I know youre trying to be edgy but if you have proof of them telling ppl to kill others they will be put in jail.

I did not make the Charlie connection. I didn't really know anything about Manson, e.g. the timeframe he operated in, where he was based, etc.

How dare he kill someone that participated in the murder of a 8 1/2 months pregnant woman that begged for the life of her child!

HAHAHA

HAHAHA

Attached: 1554067286840.png (1236x824, 530K)

I'm genuinely baffled by how lazy his last movies are. I'd have thought that his inflated sense of self-importance and all that jazz about how he's gonna do only 10 movies would at least mean he'd intend to make each movie count. Maybe inspiration left him even sooner than he thought.

I watched it on TS online cos its not coming to my country till september.
I was actually horrifyed by americans laughing at the insanely violent scene in the end. Is this what america is like?
I didnt know anything about manson family before watching the movie but i dobt think it would change my view.

Ps. Them killing a bunch of hollywood elite is no big deal to me since they are leeches on society but butthurt americans at the same time complain the they live in poverty while the country has highesr number of millionairs and then cheers for this shit.

>t.last venezuelian official to have an internet connection

Wait Asian is considered POC now?

Not enough feet, especially of Margot Robbie. They could have made her go barefoot for the entire picture.

Thought the chinese would be more pissed about the whole bruce lee thing

He's spot on though.
1 comment and 18 likes. It's just some rando - you don't have to care.

It was okay. Not his best or his worst. Style over substance though. It also was way too long at 3 hours. You could have cut a whole hour out of it and not missed anything. The "fairy tale" ending was funny as fuck though. 6.5/10.

>Asian
Well they are yellow you know.

Im from italy

>americans punishing a country for rejecting their puppet and making fun of the resulting suffering
Subhumans.

>all the Trumptards now want to watch the movie
>all because some SJW roastie hated it
I didn't believe it when I first heard it but anti-SJWs are really no different from actual SJWs.

Too bad Chavez didn't shit out more toilet paper before he died

desu I cried every time Leo cried in Once Upon a Time

people forget, if roman polanski were at his house at the time, the manson family would have killed him too, thus saving the world from a child rapist. who knows what perversions the manson family prevented by killing polanski's entourage.

Grampy Pitt still making the bitches wet

Attached: audiblegasps.png (756x126, 9K)

It’s a great film. His best since Jackie Brown.

No idea why

Attached: Booth.gif (540x408, 2.87M)

According to him, he only became a depraved sexual predator because of the murders. Pretty sure he was Jewish before that, though.

I'm not even a footfag but she has tranny feet dude what the fuck is wrong with you

I think its his best movie till now. His previous movies were pretty edgy, onky thing I didn't like was that he exagerated the feet scenes.

No meme i fell asleep in the theatre

Nah, this is way better, but Hensworth is fucking based in El Royale, too bad he only shows ups by the final act.

>Roma Polanski doesn’t
Did you miss all the exposition dialogue emphasizing that Polanski was a fucking Cuck?

get fucking shit all over, fly over shit!

AAAAAUGH SAVE ME FANS

>Muh Bruce Lee
It's very clearly a dream sequence you retard. Cliff is on the roof, imagining what it would be like if he pursued the job offer Rick mentioned he should go after, and after realizing his bravado would fuck him over, he decides against it. The real Bruce Lee was shown in a split-second scene, training Sharon.

Attached: 5467254745754725478.png (1440x1557, 738K)

>has better westen like scene than Django and H8 together
>the shocking twisted ending works much better than the one in Inglourious Basterds
>it is the best deliver everybody was expecting from him since Jackie Brown
> if you ranks T flicks in this thread you are fags

It was a flashback you moron.

My top 3 Tarantino flicks

1. Inglorious Basterds
2. Reservoir Dogs
3. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

It's a fucking flashback, you spasmo.

And anyone hating on this film is a beta, that can't cope with Booth reminding them of the alpha male they'll never be. Period.

wow, you are an idiot.

Pathetic

>he thinks only drumpftards hate sjw's
get real tranny

it was 'Hateful Eight at a Hotel' you dumb shit
it was a meh film overall. some parts i really liked, like Jeff Bridges removing floorboards to the black girls singing and the ending was pretty wholesome. then again there was some pointless shit like killing Hamm off for no reason and Hemsworth didn't play a charming psycho convincingly enough. overall, not bad, not that good, points for original work and a good look/design

It was great.
My third favorite QT movie.

What the fuck did you think was happening in that scene?

>who comes up to rick's house
he walked up to polanski's house, pay attention

I found myself really attracted to Cliff.

>50+ years old and still the guy women want to be with and men want to be
how does he do it?

I didn't like how the narration from when they went to Italy kept going when they were back in Hollywood, other than that I liked it, all the actors killed it especially Leo in that where Rick is playing the Cowboy Villain

What are you guys talking about?
Kill Bill is shit

>It's a dream sequence, bro

For fucks sake, Cliff literally says to himself "fair enough" once it's over, implying everyone was right to get mad at him and kick him out from the set due to fighting Bruce and wrecking the car.

I thought this too

>we share a board with these people
You people are fucking dumb. That's all.

I could crack your two lonely brain cells together.
Stop crapping up every OUATIH thread with your shit.

>soundtrack: A+
>visuals: A+
>story: fucking boring as hell

a few scenes are really great, but they don't make up for this fucking snoozefest

The movie is a piece of shit with nothing but filler. The whole Sharon Tate shit it's only there to subvert expectations, literally Rian Johnson tier of trash.

So what point was he trying to make about Hollywood? Because the film felt pointless, like a long fragmented dream with no discernible meaning.
