is it just me or are these the same fucking film?
Is it just me or are these the same fucking film?
They're obviously not the same film, so it's you
Both are just Scarface ripoffs
It's you. You were probably exposed to a lot of lead as a child, or perhaps your parents were siblings.
Either way, find a high bridge.
Sharon Stones in the first one tho
Imagine being a zoomer and unironically thinking this
Connotatively, Yes they are the same
the story is pretty much the same with almost the same characters. that is only the beginning of the similarities
Mean Streets, Goodfellas, and Casino share many stylistic and thematic similarities, because they are each an examination of the life and times of mafiosos from progressively higher and higher socioeconomic stations: Mean Streets is about low level goons, Goodfellas is about midwit thugs who get too big for their britches, and Casino is about insanely wealthy upper echelon gangsters.
>the story is pretty much the same
Watch it again when you aren't eight, and put down your cell phone.
If there is one thing we can all agree on is that A Bronx Tale is just absolute, no doubt about it, shit.
I bet you think Scarface was actually created in 1983
they are both about a mob guy running a business and his psychotic friend played by the same guy who kills the wrong people and then gets killed for it. main guy has a crazy bitch wife who wants to kill him. at the end everyone gets arrested or killed. this is only skimming the surface.
Disney doing mob movies.
Judging by all the angry dagos in this thread I'd say yes
That’s not what “skimming the surface” means
>this movie in a genre has certain markers of that genre, and this other movie in the same genre ALSO has certain markers of that genre
Drink bleach, as much as you can get.
Every Scorsese movie is the same film.
Like I said, imagine a zoomer (you)
feel free to refute my post at any time sweetie ;)
I just did, you're too low IQ to understand it though. It's like trying to teach algebra to a dog, and when the dog doesn't get it, he thinks the problem is the teacher.
face it. scorescee made the same movie twice. keep seething though you obsessed zoom zoom
Yeah I see it too. If anything, Return of the Jedi is basically Apocalypse Now
>antagonist is a guy shrouded in mystery, whom our protagonist has to travel far and wide to meet
>some kind of supernatural/unnatural occurrences
>both have their climaxes in jungles
Woah dude how can Martin recover?
Outside of having a couple of the same actors and the story is based around the Mob, they're pretty different.
Are those spinoffs of Sopranos?
i thought the same thing.
Watch Once Upon a Time in America
those movies are not alike at all. you are reaching. i implore you to watch goodfellas and casino back to back
The first one doesn't even focus on DeKino
Joe Pesci playing the same character doesn’t make the entire story the same
Kill yourself
the story is mostly, not entirely the same
I can't remember more than 3 memorable scenes from Goodfellas. How anyone can think that this is one of Scorcese's best when Silence, Taxi Driver or King of Comedy exist is beyond me.
Only one of those is good, tastelet.
is it just me or are these the same fucking film?
silence will be seen as underrated kino in a few years
I've seen Goodfellas 4 times but could only stomach Casino once. It's not based on a book, it's an unimaginative piece of shit with too much Joe Pesci.
It is based on the nonfiction book Casino: Love and Honor in Las Vegas
Imagine missing the depth and nuance of both of these films so badly that you write something as boneheaded as this post.
While goodfellas is a better story, casino is stylistically excellent and features many important lessons about life.
Casino is practically a comedy.
I'm going to get the dubs, get the dubs.
btw what's up with his eyebrows lol? what a fagg
You must be a nu-male because Casino, especially joe pesci scenes, is hilarious. Maybe you're just used to witty reddit banter
>witty reddit banter
God, I wanna kill you till you die
