His MMA and comedy career isn't a failure either, he managed to win several fights and wasn't good enough to be one of the best in the world, I don't see how that's failure.

His standup is fine, it's being overblown by trolls who hate Schaub no matter what. Many respected comedians and fighters thought the special was awesome, and Joe Rogan(most powerful man in comedy) still brings Schaub onto his show.
