Battle for top 7

>Bad signings
>Collapse
>Sackings
>Rinse and repeat for 10 years until the owners get board and sell
>Relegation

Pee wan

They are going to play football.

You're saying that, but they've already clawed their way from near-relegation to 9th (although I suppose not many points separate those places).

Are we going to keep outraged about Russia, but allow literal Saudi ownership of european clubs?

I think that would do them a world of good.

Atleast they're not gay

This
They still won't be in champions league.

they are like 2nd or 3rd in the table based on last 10-15 games

Newcastle, like Tottenham have a club wide psychological block on success. They are destined to lose, no matter how much 'progress' they make. It is part of the clubs DNA. Season on season disaster is inevitable. And I can't wait to witness it.

Finish 7th for conference league kino, spuds fans seethe uncontrollably when they dont flop out in the groups

Are you blind?

To what? How am I wrong? Let me know when Newcastle or Tottenham win anything relevant.

Newcastle aren't the same aimless non-entity under Ashley.

If so, that's impressive. Probably 3rd because I doubt they would top either Manchester City or Liverpool's record.

2nd on form having only spent 90 million.
I'm thinking it's their year la

depends on the signings but top 7 should be guaranteed

For me, anything less than winning the league is a failure

.....Not the point. The ownership doesnt matter. The club has a losing mentality in its DNA (see Keegan's I'd love it speech). Like Tottenham they'll always choke one way or another. Sure Newcastle will win more and move up the table. Not denying that. But they will not win anything significant (League, Champions League). Maybe they'll luck a domestic cup...maybe. But even that I'd doubt.

>The ownership doesnt matter. The club has a losing mentality in its DNA
You have to be taking the piss. Manchester City had the exact same mentality before Mansour took over and look at them now.

>when he showed up in his fancy German car and his gucci loafers he went down in my estimation. He's got to go to Sneed's and buy some seed and feed and I will love it, love it if they mock his city slicker ways

> Thinking mercenary modern athletes or coaches believe in this sort of shit

>Manchester City had the exact same mentality
One of the reasons they feel so plastic now. They had to change the entire identity of the club

Qualifying for conference league and pakistanchester not qualifying for Europe at all

To be fair, there almost seems to be a ucl mental block for them. But I'm convinced it's just team style, they're built to dominate bad teams mercilessly so they never drop a point, but lack the front and back end superstars like real or Liverpool have had so they never seem to make it all the way in a competition of only elites with a knockout style.

Ronaldo to move to Newcastle.

Yes. Your politicians like Saudi

I am serious. Man City had more of a history and won things in the 60s/70s. They had a complex due to Man Utd, but that could be overcome. Newcastle and Tottenham just have choking in the DNA. Mark my words when Eddie Howe gets sacked, then the next manager and the next.

The UCL mental block is Pep being a fucking spastic.

So you think the Saudis will just let Newcastle implode and get relegated? You're living in a fucking delusion.

>these are the people calling us plastics

Nah

>play no holding midfielder against Chelsea because ????
>lose
They had the title on a plate and Pep fucked it away.

Who knows with them. Might be a day when they get Abramovich'd anyway. Just saying they won't win the league/Champions League. If they do win something big, then I will give them no credit as they used blood money and black magic to do it.

Your arguments reek of absolute seethe.

just banter m8

look what happened to Yemen

I'm a Liverpool fan...what possible reason would I seethe over Newcastle United?

Team 'DNA' is a big plate of bollocks. Liverpool had winning DNA and Man U were chokers for twenty years and then they didn't, now its swapped back around.
Similar bollocks used to be talked about the ruthless Aussie cricket team, when it turned out the key to the 'winning habit' was having Warne, McGrath and Gilchrist

Fairly obvious. You don't want them to be a rival.

Saudi Arabia isn't a threat to Europe.

True, they've only ever flown planes into American buildings.

kek

This. They are going to be fucking rinsed for City/Barca/Madrid/PSG cast offs who underperform because they are freezing cold living in a hellscape, their wives and family will stay in London because Poundland and Gregg's is not attractive to them.

The odd 4th every now and again is the highest they will achieve. They could realistically target the Europa League and hope to do well there but that gets old quickly.

Also add the fact you have entitled melts like True Geordie with MASSIVE platforms calling for the sacking of managers etc. It's going to be wonderful.

My God, Anglos are pathetic.

second in the table from february 1st

I knew you were an evilpool fan from your first post kek
I wish you did not post this before I got to

Building a decent top half team, more positive football with a good cup run. Players trying to earn their place in the team.

One of the most successful clubs in England user

Forget next season. Just stay in top 10 this season.

Their signings have been very sensible and restrained so far. Guys like Dan Burn and Targett have been brilliant, because they know the league, language and are hard workers.
If they continue down that road then they will finish top half next season comfortably, which has to be the short term goal.
If they get tempted by zoomy ethnic boys with low work rates then the wheels will fall off. Saint-Maximin alone is a liability at times, you don't want too many of them.

European competitions.

Think we're done for the season desu, might get points from Burnley on the last day but the rest of our fixtures are tough.

GL bro

European spots with euro league

Could be anything with FFP now in the bin, but the signings so far and internal changes at the club indicate the Saudis know what they're doing. The real question is not where the in the league they'll place, but how much and on what they'll spend. Newcastle is the team to watch over the next five years.

If I had to guess:

>£200m+ being dropped pre-season with transfers beginning the second the season ends. Big January spending too
>I suspect they'll focus on taking the quality from the mid-table like they did with the bottom in Burnley and Brighton in January and continue with sensible transfers
>Will end the season above 1 of Arsenal, Tottenham and Man United
>New manager/coaching team in by the start of the season. They should throw money at Mourinho or Conte

Of course, anything could happen. The UK press and fans are slow to react but we have a new and improved City on our hands.
