I've never been to Oklahoma but I imagine there's not much going on there. I can see how a younger person would hate it. But I've talked about this with other people from similar small town origins, and once you get out in the world and go to "the big city" and live there for a while, it kind of grows old on you, and you also grow old and slow down, and suddenly places like Oklahoma start looking real good.
