Reboots that happen after a failed movie with a cliffhanger don't count.
Movies that will forever be left with a cliffhanger and no direct sequel

Godzilla
The Thing :-)
we'll never know the story behind Aperaham Lincoln
Did they cum from the bells? People wanna know!
>tfw we'll never know what happened to CIA
No survivors, user.
NO SURVIVORS.
covenant was such a shit movie, I can't even remember any details about it even though I watched it.
The Last Airbender
It wasn't a cliffhanger. David won, the end.
Such a shame
What happened here? I was gonna wait until all four movies were out before I watched them, but then they never made the last one?
This shit looked like unger Gaes combined with the Maze, but worse
I would be okay with the Alien series ending on a scene as good as this.
Alita.
Not a cliffhanger
>I'LL BE BACK!
It was like Hunger Games plus Harry Potter. Unwatchable.
Damn. Was gonna post this one.
how does rocknrolla end on a cliffhanger
sequel bait, sure, but not a cliffhanger
Le boat movie
still hurts lads
Damn youre the dumbest kind of nigger.
What's there to elaborate on? David won, then created the aliens using the ships crew and sent them out all over the place.
Only real question is if he's still alive which is kinda improbable since he was begging to malfunction.
You are lucky.
I remember everything
Explain?
Miami Vice
Super Mario Bros
Not a movie. But this is almost criminal
kek, forgot he did this for no reason
Scott is trying to make one more tho
WRONG
>David won, the end.
This. And he was "God" having created the fugly Aliens.
>Super Mario Bros.
fuck me this one hurts
It's not really a cliffhanger as far as horror movie tropes go. Plus the bluray extra scenes pretty much explain everything that happens afterwards.
If we take the ending at face value we can pretty much assume David spends the next however many years perfecting his formula until his demise (probably by his creation), after which Ripley's crew stumble across one of his experiments.
he didn't fly so good
Aperaham Lincoln got 618,000 apes killed in a stupid war that could have easily been solved by emancipating the humans and paying the southern apes a fee per slave.
Horrible movie
Movie?
Yeah I'm gonna need source on that one, mkay?
based. He should've sent the apes back to their home continent as well.
SG-1 last episode, last season. They go through the gate.....so much left unexplained. How will they fight the ORI, how will they use the Asgardian knowledge, will they ever reveal to earth the gate's existence? WTF.
There are 2 movies that answer those questions.
What are they? I have every SG-1 movie.
It ended conclusively. The combine was only involved with earth because breen kept promising to deliver teleportation tech. The combine sucks out eli’s brain, so they have teleportation tech. The combine leaves. The end.
Project Borealis my brother.
We need that sequel
test
Man that guy was so good as Sabretooth.
Wish we got more of that.
Well, the script writer spoiled the third part for us, so we do have an ending.
And even that ends with sequel bait.
>believing valve “leaks.”
DELETE THIS
We purposefully trained him wrong, as a joke
Based
The first two were pretty good
I fucking hate this shit more than anything. They do a bad movie without noticing and they are so up their own asses that they are already thinking about a sequel that will never happen. Makes them look like idiots forever and fans will be left disappointed with blueballs forever. Worst practice in entire industry and makes me cringe out of my skin.
It wasn't a sequel hook, it was intentional "we may never know" vaguery. Though I won't rule out that Blomkamp may want to actually do a direct sequel someday.
Maybe this was never intended to have a sequel but damn, it's like half of a movie. No resolution, only a set up.
The Cave anyone? Though I wouldn't rule out that this was one of those "evil finds a way" kind of endings.
It has a sequel video game
poor reception, low box office returns for the last one and people getting tired of two-parter finale movies led to the death of the last film in development. they "said" they were going to do a tv special instead, but with all the actors jumping ship they ditched that idea
which is dumb idea to even put forth. the aliens were great because you didn't know anything about them or where they came from
>fugly Aliens
No you
You mean the humans needed to be sent back to the forbidden zone, user
It had a cartoon
Is there another horror movie that comes close to The Thing?
There is a couple of movies with similar concept, Splinter is one of my favourites. Definitely not as good as The thing but still a very decent horror win interesting monster concept.
WHAT?
>splinter:
SHAKY CAM SHAKY CAM, QUICK CUTS QUICK CUTS
SHAKY SHAKY SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE
fucking unwatchable low budget shit.
even speaking scenes shake non stop
yeah, the cartoon starts in the moment the movie ends
wow thanks!
Theres a short sequel. youtu.be
Terrible.
>implying its not being made
there was this movie and i watched it
called spoorloos
i didn't understand it
Holy shit, 2/3 in one fucking movie.
Now there is a 300% chance that I will never see this.
10 MINUTES WASTED
I never said it was good. What did you expect from a short based on covenant?
They're making another Alien why are you all acting like they're not
Fuck Disney
I want my conclusion to David's arc
Fuck Disney
>It wasn't a sequel hook, it was intentional "we may never know" vaguery.
>three years. i promise.
I really don't get Gabe
He's one of the richest game developers in the world. He could hire the best movie writers there is and create the third game.
Why is that so much to ask
>Handmainden
fucking useless zoomers.
Continuum which decent and something something about Ori which is shit
Because its better to keep the meme alive than to ruin it.
yes
No
Yes
what happens next?
I watched The Thing for the first time as a 6 year in an Alaskan hospital with pneumonia. It was late at night and it was snowing heavily outside and the wind was howling. My dad had a VHS copy and put it on and fell asleep almost immediately. It ruined me for all other horror films.
*6 year old
Why do they all look retarded? Seriously that poster is terrible
>Get to the Borealis
>Discover along the way that Breen got turned into a grub worm
>There's some kind of time/space fuckery with the Borealis
>Mossman wants to study the tech
>Alyx wants to use it essentially as a missile to destroy the Combine homeworld
>Alyx murders Mossman, and sends the Borealis on its way to the Covenant homeworld
>G-Man shows up, and recruits Alyx for his purposes
>They both ditch Gordon aboard the Borealis
>He eventually arrives at the "homeworld", only to discover that it's actually a massive dyson sphere that the Combine built around a star (presumably one of many)
>The Borealis isn't going to do shit to that
>The reality sets in that there was never any hope of victory over the Combine
>The Vortigaunts zap Gordon off the Borealis before it hits
>He ends up back on Earth, in some unknown time and place
>Everyone he has ever known is likely dead and gone
>The End
Kind of depressing for a video game, desu.
they made terminator 3 though, and genisys
Such a great choice for Sinestro. A shame it'll never happen again.
yeah I took it as the "evil finds a way" ending. Wouldn't care much for a sequel since all the good characters died. Pic related also ended similarly but this one needs a sequel!
District 10 was mentioned in some interviews post-release, faggot. As with anything Blomkamp plans, there was no funding nor proper story to attract investors and the guy endup starting 5 things and finishing only one, badly directed and written.
she was cute
Incorrect, the animated series followed up on the ending. The hatched Godzilla imprints on the main character as its parent and ends up heroic, fighting monsters round the world (and has its atomic breath). All in all it wound up a vastly better adaptation of Godzilla than the actual movie.
This and the Men in Black cartoon were kino. At least I think so, I barely remember them I was so young at the time
DIsney? Convenant bombing at the BO is what killed it.
I have seen this movie and I legitimately can't recall more than 2-3 minutes of it. I think they killed off the heroine of the first film in a retarded manner? What was even the cliffhanger?
makes me laugh every time
Watching horror on vhs at a young age was such a kino 80s experience.
I've seen the Godzilla show more recently, it's a very enjoyable monster of the week show. It's exactly what a cartoon adaptation of Godzilla should be in style.
That actually sounds ok as a sequel.
I stopped watching as soon as O'Neill wasn't the main guy
And he's left Valve. Just like the other major people behind Half Life have. Such a shame. It will have always been a win win situation for them to do another one. Gabe is a fat dog jew.
It was the Valve guys blog who worked on all Half Lifes. He left Valve and posted the story with names changed of characters.
You sound like a faggot. It's not that bad.
There was a cartoon of that David Duchovny alien film, Evolution, which was pretty good too.
Mr.Brooks
it was supposed to be a serial killer trilogy
I actually really enjoyed this movie
oh man! that cast is pure charisma!
