MST3K is only funny when you're drunk.

Shut up, Mitchell.

Even his name says, “is that a beer?”

'Family Circus' scope + Glaucoma scope = Hubble scope

Factually incorrect.

Mike is far superior. Doesn't mean I dislike Joel, but Mike is just beyond all.

No, but it helps

Mike obviously

Still waiting on the virgin Joel vs the chad Mike pic.

SÖYBÖI FUCK OFF
REEEEEEEEEEEEE

the gauntlet on netflix is top notch writing. on par with the first season.

What's your favorite episode that isn't
>Manos: the Hands of Fate
>Final Sacrifice
>Space Mutiny
>Time Chasers
>Hobgoblins

Overdrawn at the memory bank
The Undead
Teenage Crime wave
Touch of Satan
The Leech Woman
The Horror of Party Beach

Hottest girls in MST3K:
>Jack Frost - impossibly adorable Russian girl
>Alien from L.A. - young Kathy Ireland
>Kitten with a Whip - Ann-Margret
>Space Mutiny - hot milf

Attached: jack-fost-IMG_2177.png (1024x768, 388K)

Manos is nobody's favorite. It's just an exceptionally bad movie in it's own right that became a meme. The riffing is not particularly strong in that episode, though. I probably have never laughed harder at MST3K than I did during The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies

Mamie Van Doren in Girls Town.

Legend of Boggy Creek II

>A wandering ninja, I

He was a minority aviation student at Hillman

Joel, hands down. As usual Yea Forums has terribad taste.

Hi Joel

based

They did both Master Ninja I and Master Ninja II, which was a failed TV series that got canceled mid-season and re-edited into two "films". A young Demi Moore shows up at some point in one of them.

They riff on several other "movies" that were actually failed TV series from the late 70's and early 80's. Riding with Death, for instance.

I had the blue card with no drawing on
Never got it lamenated so it fell apart :(

I believe there's a creature here.
THERE IT IS!

wow dude, your trying to make the newest big meme right! good for you! fucking loser, go back to mask 2 posting.

You need to work on your camel toe, son.

LIBERUL!

>Pumaman does not kill my people
Without a doubt, hands-down, my most favorite episode from a riffing standpoint is Pumaman. If you haven't seen it yet, go watch it now. Without a question the worst capeshit that has ever been filmed, featuring the great Donald Pleasence, who is in another of my favorite MST3K episodes, Warrior of the Lost World, which is post-apocalyptic sci-fi. Almost as good an episode as Pumaman, but not quite.

satan was great in this

SLEEEEP

Mike is objectively just the better host and has better on-camera presence. Joel is a cool guy though.

Surprised noone said: Invasion of the Neptune Men, Prince of Space, Touxh of Satan or Space Mutiny. Complete classics. But there are a few other hidden gems I feel never get proper credit:
Agent for HARM
Riding with Death
Puma man
Future Wax

>MST3K started as a local Minneapolis-based cable access show
I know there's YouTube now but I still think it's cool that local stations had their own original content instead of just showing reruns of sitcoms back then.

Merlin was a thieving crackhead who fenced VCRs to feed his habit.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 29K)

all great choices I had to watch HARM again since someone posted it last thread

danger: diabolik

the rifftrax of manos is pretty good I liked the live one as well

Joel was more consistent, but Mike had higher highs and lower lows.
My favorite episode is "I Accuse My Parents" so I guess I'll say Joel.

My favorite riff is from Manos.
>every frame of this movie looks like someone’s last known photo

>I know there's YouTube now but I still think it's cool that local stations had their own original content instead of just showing reruns of sitcoms back then.
We'll never get brilliant fringe weirdness quite like public access tv again. Everyone is too publicity-aware

oh, no doubt. i'm not saying its a bad ep and there are great riffs even in bad episodes, but i have to push back against it because Manos as an MST3K episode is a meme. It gets recommended to people who have never seen MST3K and it's just not a good first episode. You could rattle-off a dozen better episodes for zoomers, starting with Space Mutiny.

That’s true. I think the Mike episodes are a better introduction to MST3K in general

umm hello

I am ashamed to be a backer in kickstarter.
Atleast I got a cool shirt.

Attached: crow.jpg (250x250, 11K)

Damn, this takes me back. Funny how Tim & Eric completely ripped off the local access vibe for their show and it wasn't nearly as good.

I don't think of it as either or, it's just a passing of the torch. They both have their good and bad features but I like them both. The new one can suck the tail end of a hammer though.

youtube.com/watch?v=RFHlJ2voJHY

that's a man. What's next? The mystery meat "woman" from The Girl in Gold Boots?

I find it amusing that the country boy who made those movies was also an accomplished set designer. He had an interesting career.

Hello fellow Joel fan.

Merlin and The Wild World of Batwoman are some of my personal favs

Donald Pleasence was in so much B-movie kino it's crazy.

Attached: 10908_136908937575.jpg (540x720, 83K)

"END!!! END!!!"

Did they say straight up from the beginning that Joel or Mike wouldn't be the host? I'd be fucking pissed if I paid and they pulled a switcheroo.

he was a kinoman

Attached: donald.jpg (618x495, 39K)

Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders is good in that it's a fairly modern movie, so it's watchable for zoomers despite being total garbage. MST3K did a few episodes with movies that were only a few years old at the time
>The Final Sacrifice
>Soultaker
>Outlaw of Gor
>Werewolf
>Time Chasers
>Quest of the Delta Knights
>Future War (featuring Robert Zdar!)
>Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders
It's hard to get people to sit through movies from the late 40's or 50's anymore. In general, attention spans have just gone to shit.

Attached: Robert Z-Dar Future War.jpg (500x375, 69K)

God the wild world of batwoman was really bad, but the commentary saved it. "Yes the devil made this movie for you!"

I really liked how Lee Van Cleef destroys a bar for no reason.

>God the wild world of batwoman was really bad
Thats why I love it, I'll take girls in bikinis doing nothing than something like Red Zone Cuba, which btw gave us the best quote ever: "I wanna hurt this movie, but I can never hurt it the way it hurt me"

Wild Wild World of Batwoman episode also has a really funny short. The one about cheating. The shorts in general are usually pretty fantastic on their own.
>Mr. B Natural
>What to Do on a Date
>Body Care and Grooming
>Johnny at the Fair
>Design for Dreaming
>Keeping Clean and Neat
>A Day at the Fair (hilarious)
They also did a few General Hospital episodes from the 60's that show up as shorts.

BART FARGO IS
hard to watch

God Mr B Natural and Design for Dreaming are my favorite shorts.

The Peter Pan lady is just too much androgyny. Very relevant for our time. Supposedly, the actress was on broadway and tv but never acted again after that. The wikipedia says they did the full version of Mr B Natural for Rifftrax. also, don't forget The Days of Our Years and Robot Rumpus featuring Gumby

Attached: Mrb5.jpg (311x233, 16K)

I started to put on a episode of MST3K to send me off to sleep a few years ago and its become such a habit that I have a hard time falling asleep without hearing Mike or the bots.

I love those jokes, the best one was on the Rifftrax of Revenge of the Sith:

>Beware your friend, Palpatine
>And your pal, Friendpatine

Dunno what its called, but it's in the same wheelhouse as malaprops and puns. Some people get viscerally angry when you use this kind of humor. It's fascinating. I think because it's not pointed humor. It's absurd and catches people off-guard in a way that they're not comfortable with.
