Why? The telepathy and Biollante being the scientist's daughter's ghost killed it for me

I just liked it. Monster was good, human plot was treated more seriously than usual, the Godzilla suit was great and it felt like it was doing something different, going in a fresh direction for the franchise. It's a shame it did mediocre at the BO and so Toho changed to more Showa type films with a lighter tone and returning monsters.
I wish the tone of Godzilla 1984 and Biollante got to continue.

On a quick click they are English, English, American, Canadian, Canadian and Mexican respectively. Most of them probably only worked on some specific smaller part of the film, it's how it worked. Like one might have worked on some environments or vehicle shots and never touched any of the monsters for instance.

It was released in the West, but was controversial in the US for it having a negative portrayal of the American soldiers in WW2, as a result the ones after that didn't get released in theaters, but later, around the time of the Tristar Godzilla film in 1998, all the Heisei films got released on video to capitalize.
In fact that's how I saw Vs Ghidorah. As a tie in to the 1998 Godzilla a TV channel here did a evening special that featured a Godzilla documentary, comedy skits, some monster fights, and then two kaiju films, the 1970s King Kong, and Godzilla vs King Ghidorah. Monster Night or something it was called. So I saw my first Godzilla film and was immediately a fan, and went off getting the other films on VHS. Funnily enough I liked it far better than the 1998 Godzilla that I saw shortly afterwards in the cinema.
