Why are comedy films from the early 00s so much more comfier than comedies from this day? The quality is like night and day.

No, you we're just younger when you saw those comedies from the early 00's. Some dude, in probably 2029, will lament how his current comedy is nothing like the comedy movies from 2019.

Im writing a medium blogpost about this. Comedies today are just too aware and serious for their own good, even when they are comedies. They don't target teenagers or college students at all. Why is Mean Girls so ingrained into the public consciousness while something like Booksmart is just entirely looked over and forgotten?

What are the most memorable teen movies of the 2010s? Easy A and..... that's it. 21 Jump Street is not a teen movie, though it uses one as its backdrop. Every single coming of age movie is now some pull-at-your-heart-strings serious dramady.

Only if it'll get worse. Which it probably will.

What are you talking about? Spy was really good.

For comparison, between 2000 and 2010, there was

>Mean Girls
>The Princess Diaries
>She's the Man
>Superbad
>Freaky Friday
>Legally Blonde
>Napoleon Dynamite
>Juno
>School of Rock
>Not Another Teen Movie
>Euro Trip
>The Girl Next Door
>What A Girl Wants
>Accepted
>Adventureland

can't believe this nigga forgot Hot Rod

AND OIM SO SAWRREE!

Summer is over, newfag. Back to school with u.

Can't wait for the "late 2010s starter pack" threads

nothing defines the 2010s other than material objects and feelings

There are no trends because those trends are viral memes and viral memes die out in weeks or even days. Culture has reached peak speed.

>nothing defines the 2010s other than material objects and feelings
spoken like a person in the 2000s talking about the 2000s

I hope bell bottoms never come back

you got a problem with the 70s pal?
