It’s okay.
I grew up in that era and it’s fairly accurate but Bully is the best Larry Clark movie and although my friends and I never murdered anyone, I feel like Bully explains my generation and probably your generation the best.

Bully is a genuinely good movie. It’s a true story about kids murdering a friend because they think he’s an asshole. The movie overplays it to make him a rapist and stuff but it sums up the overall attitude. I wish I could find the entire murder scene because it’s so good but I can’t.

There's no car chases, gunfights, or explosions, so obviously it's like all that other A24 garbage.

It's still just a movie. Yeah there's some truth to it like inner city punk kids from broken homes and stuff, but your average kid is nothing like the movie. Sure lots of kids with experiment with sex and drugs and stuff, but none will go out and just beat people up for no reason.

It’s a shit film, written by a druggie, and directed by a pedophile.

Despite being a “well regarded” photographer, whose work is in Major museum collections,
the film looked like crap, with either an out of focus camera, or just bad filming technique, and bad lighting.
The acting was poor, and since a number of the actors went on to successful acting careers, the crappy acting can really only be the directors fault.
The editing was also poor.
Harmony Korine was only really able to right a few snippets of decent dialogue, and this inability remained constant for most of his early films he wrote.

I really can’t understand why the film was funded, made, and released.
It’s the kind of film that might make money do to controversy, but there must be some other reason Clark was funded.

Aesthetically it feels and looks like a Lifetime movie, just edgier. It perfectly encapsulates the way of life created after the Allied powers won WW2 and Jews started openly running the show.

At this point I’m fairly certain he’s a spook of some kind, but I don’t know what he was originslly trained for.
