wait what

Takeshi's Castle was absolutely the comfiest game show I've ever watched, the fact that it looks like it was made with a budget of fifty yen just made it better.

What version of passe partout were you watching? And why is Passe Carreau such a FUCKIN TEASE?

The Genius. Every episode is a convoluted social/board game. The events are usually shown from the perspective of one of the alliances/characters (all groups are unofficial and form organically due to game strategies, there are no enforced alliances) and then they either play it straight or drop a big twist and show you the events from a different perspective how they were fucked from the get go because of some other players actions. The editing makes this show amazing. They craft suspenseful story-lines with big twists out of unscripted material. The entire first season is subbed on youtube and the rest can be easily found on the internet.

Grew up with this and loved Richard O'Brien. People shit on the new one with Ayoade unfairly, it isn't too bad.

i was just about to post this!
Carl Jung is spinning in his grave

Me on the left behind the table

Where did they manage to find all the midges? I haven't watched it in like 10 years but I swear they used different dwarfs every episode, and they're pretty rare, so where were they getting them all from?

Based. The dwarves running down the winding stairs is peak funny to me

Is this a low brow version of twister?

wow, I didn't know it was aired outside of France

dude you have no idea, this is probably the most adapted french television show in the world

The theme song was absolute kino

>It's a mud wrestling room
BASED

i hate ayoade and i hate the cheap office set

Dude it went for years and years here in Norway too. I see on wikipedia it aired in 28 different countries, probably with unique versions. I remember the old guy in the tower with the riddles, and of course the dwarves walking the stairs with tremendous difficulty.

>le père fouras is now a fusion between Fouquet and Lennon
such an unexpected kino

Oh fuck I also remember there was a topless lady with words written on her body.

and the fact they didn't care if they caused serious pain... plunging chest first at full speed into rocks or faceplanting on doors was legit kino

fallait prendre la clé?

holy shit i completely forgot about it

it was a different time...

I don't know if Total Wipeout counts but child me was addicted to Hammond and this show. Especially when they added different versions of the Sweeper and the Dreadmill

It wasn't a speaking role. They could recruit people globally.
