What would you have done differently?

What would you have done differently?

How kino would it be without the time travel, and the avengers would have to actually deal with their failure? Their attempt to kill Thanos (who still has all the stones) angers him, and he threatens to do a snap every few decades when the population starts getting back to where it was. The world is at the mercy of godlike Thanos, and they have almost no chance of beating him but they still try anyway. Many more deaths.

The time travel was bullshit, get out of fantasy land and show that sometimes you can't just fix all your problems like they never happened.

>What would you have done differently?
You said it. No time travel. Also Thanos should have had a better motivation, anyone with a semblance of a brain would understand that the universe is not a zero-sum game.

People still died. There are consequences. The two main characters of the MCU aren’t around anymore. Ones dead the other retired and many of the other characters are dealing with that vacuum

The time travel stuff was always going to be there.
Feige has said BTTF2 was one of his favorite movies.
So they were def always going to be playing around in past scenes.
That said.
The execution of these scenes was poor with exception of the black widow and Hawkeye scene, there was no tension.
Didn't need another Stark didn't understand Daddy scene, another cap pines for Peggy scene, Thors fucked up after not saving the universe, etc.
Those scenes were dull. The Avengers 1 repeat wasn't nearly as awesome as it should've been.

>What would you have done differently?
Instead of retrieving the stones from the past, they'd have to make an entirely new set of stones in the present.

Maybe work a little more with the actual fucking source material? I know the whole Death waifu, R63 Thanos substitute waifu, and Adam Warlock bits wouldn't have worked out, but still the general framework was already there.

i wouldn't have released it and cancelled all future marvel films

The next phase just moves on from the snap and the next entire phase is dedicated to living with the outcome and some time at the end of the phase introduce the time travel. The redemption part due to time travel or whatever would mean so much more if you forced the characters to live like shit for like 5 years

>get out of fantasy land and show that sometimes you can't just fix all your problems like they never happened.
I agree that any and all instances of time-fuckery are lazy shit-ass writing, but have you ever even read a comic?

>after thor kills thanos, still do the time skip but have a different world
>create a world where the avengers are hated and shunned. They're all either homeless, in hiding and not speaking to each other any more. Hawkeye is beaten to death by an angry mob in one scene
>a whole world of crime has rushed in to fill that void, human society has lost hope and is corrupt and jaded.
>Ant Man still comes back and still find cap and black widow who find out that time travel is impossible but they can still fix somethings since the stones are have reformed themselves in five years.
>Cap, Iron man and the original avengers are able to get over their differences and unite to find the stones so that they can undo the snap.
>they travel throughout the universe to do so and begin to mend their original ties. They realize that they only lost to Thanos because they were divided and that they are stronger working with each other.
>They manage to successfully recover the stones except for the last stone, the soul stone which is held by Adam Warlock who retrieved it by sacrificing all of the people on his planet (foreshadowed in GOTG 2)
>As the new big bad, Adam has massacred everyone on his planet and considers himself the perfect lifeform. The rest of the movie is about the newly reformed avengers working together to beat him after having learned about this mistakes from fighting Thanos.
>Just as Adam is about to land a killing blow, Hulk does the snap and summons the snapped avengers to help defeat Adam. They do so successfully.
>The miraculous recovery of everyone on earth changes minds and people begin to slowly like the avengers again.
>The avengers realize that they need to take their responsilities on earth more seriously and that Tony's irrational narcissism and Cap's stubbornness have done more harm then good. They promise to work harder with their new allies to be a better shield for earth.

Boom. Consequences matter. No ass pulls and a nicer bittersweet ending.

My torrent is so slow, what is happening?

>What would you have done differently?
stopped after Iron Man.

This post reminded me that
Black Widow died. Like why bother with a solo Black Widow prequel movie?
. Most of the deaths felt unimportant, considering I knew that RDJ and Chris Evans were done after this movie.

Make the "Roger Sterling as a genius scientist working on top secret government contracts" scenario the entire movie, delete super heroes entirely, then add Bert Cooper as a five-star general in charge of him, Ken Cosgrove to tapdance, and Pete Campbell for everybody to shit on
If you absolutely must keep time travel bullshit to keep Feig happy, he travels into the future to call his son a fag and fuck Pepper Potts

>get out of fantasyland

Do you have any fucking idea what you’re watching guy? Fuck off. Not even a real argument. Just contrarian bullshit.

I agree OP

Thing that pissed me off the most with End Game was Thanos being killed at the beginning.

Getting rid of IW Thanos to replace him with the cookie cutter average marvel villain was beyond retarded. Then there is the nonsensical time travel, the writers even had the guts to hide behind other time travel movies to justify not making any sense. This thing felt like the dual movies were a compromise where IW was all about letting the directors do whatever they wanted while EG was about
nothing but checking all the boxes marvel asked them to.

I thought that drop of blood thing would become important in the next movie.

What would Trudy's role be?

With time travel, they can go to the past and gather as many stones as they want.
They can go to 2012 and take the space stone in new york, then, go to 1970 and take it again at camp lehigh leaving them with 2 space stones.

Just repeat that with all the stones and bam... you have another set of stones

>You returned the chip'n'dip for a lousy BOW AND ARROW? What kind of a superpower is THAT? It was a GIFT for our WEDDING DAY
>HELL'S BELLS, TRUDY

Thor recues Iron Man and the others
1 year passes after Snap. (Not 5)
Tony rebuilds Vision (White Vision), he mentions he can feel the Mind Stone.
Avengers track Thanos, he defeats them, Captures Nebula and punishes her.
Nebula somehow hacks into Thanos ship and grabs the gauntlet but realizes Soul stone is gone so she informs Avengers and escapes with the gauntlet to a distant moon.
Avengers go retrieve soul stone, same sacrifice (Hawkeye/Widow)
Avengers and Thanos reach to the moon at the same time.
They fight, Thor gets the gauntlet and snaps it. Thor dies. Once again Soul stone is gone.
Everyone is back, Antman appears from the Soul stone (Linked to quantum realm) and Cap Marvel and some Nova Corps show because they were snaped too, before they were trying to reach Earth after Xandar was destroyed.
Fight 2.0 Everyone keep kicking Thanos army. They are defeated and Thanos is killed by Cap and Iron man. But Iron Man is heavily wounded and left paralyzed.
Everyone decide to keep stones separated. Guardians keep the Power Stone, Cap Marvel keeps the Tesseract, the Reality Stone to give to the remaining members of the Nova Corps. Strange Keeps the time stone, Vision is given the mind stone again but he refuses it and mentions 2 stones in the same place is dangerous, so he gvies it to Antman to hide it in the Quantum realm.
Everyone is going to their places, the ship to the earth fails and they are about to crash, but a group rescue them, they introduce themselves, they are The Richards and Ben Grimm a group of scientists.
Iron Man retires and the Avengers building was sold to Oscorp.
Cap retires too, he gives the Shield to Bucky.
Ant-man and Dr. Strange become the new Avengers leaders.

Post credit scenes: Osborn hires Mysterio to attack Avengers and mentions that if everything goes well, soon he will take control of Avengers and SHIELD.

Guardians arrive at some planet but they are attacked by Adam.
