He actually DIDN'T put his heart into this one after being ordered around by Sony, which resulted in something subpar. But even soulless Raimi is better than soulless Disney.

No, it really isn't. 3 has a lot of nice character work, but the pacing is slow and trods along with loads of uninteresting dialogue. It's got some great moments, like Sandman and some of the encounters between Harry and Peter. But it's a very uneven film and the previous 2 are much better.

Ive been trying to edit this movie down so its less messy. But unfortunately they mixed sandman 2 much with peters ego takeover so its pretty much fucked forever. The sad part is how many great moments and ideas there are. The relationship scenes between MJ and peter are like A+ acting.

I genuinely am not sure what the point was of her character or her scenes. They added nothing of value to the story or Peter's character development. I truly believe she's either a relative of Raimi, or Raimi is currently boning her(possibly both).
