I think it's crazy that the reviewer who pointed out the weird situation of a hot 19-year old girl playing a pre-puberty character got dragged through the mud. That's absolutely the main problem with the adaptation. It was a fun kid's cartoon about a 10-year old mexican chick basically giving spanish 101 lessons to toddlers.
They tried to make it into a blockbuster starring a barely legal half-white/half-peruvian girl wearing super tight outfits. Of course it failed.
