Was it kino, or just a glib facsimile?

The long fight scene was kino. The rest was straight trash.

Her eye shadow fucked me up. My body will never look like that. It's not that she's a cis woman. This is not about passing. This is about the movie industry leading actress model; this is about impossible beauty standards. I'm a beautiful woman. I know saying that has just opened myself up to incredible abuse; I don't particularly care right now. I'm a beautiful woman, but I will never look like Charlize Theron. That is okay, in an objective sort of way, but subjectively, I have it ingrained in me that I need to fit a certain mold to be valuable, to be valid, to be seen as beautiful. It's internalized misogyny that is telling me I need to be seen as beautiful, that I need to see myself in models and lead actresses, that I need to have a body like hers. Seeing that dark eye shadow, all I could think of was my own, and how my body fit in relation to my face, in comparison to the ways hers did. I felt inadequate. I'm not trying to compete with or blame Charlize Theron. This was a deeply personal reaction based in internalized misogyny, and ultimately, while it's not about the fact that she's cis or about how well I pass or don't, it still resulted in dysphoria. My own personal experience of gender as a trans woman (other cis and trans women may differ) means that feeling inadequate as a woman translates into feeling rejected from womanhood.

Tranny rant aside, Theron was absurdly aesthetic in this glib facsimile.

>Yea Forums paedophiles hate it

I dont understand how people could dislike this movie. its a good spy thriller with a fun soundtrack

It was a pretty shit movie and they kept playing the same fucking songs over and over again. There was only like 3 songs and they repeated them each at least twice.

that one take fight sequence was a good example of good blocking and choreography, otherwise the movie was just forgettable and bland, like a really washed up music video

How come when women do the bad ass spy thing it feels off? Is it me?

I liked when McAvoy delivered a monologue directly at the camera for no particular reason, or when the movie ended, then ended, then ended again

It was still entertaining though

I hated the soundtrack. It was the most obvious pleb shit
>Character goes to london
>London Calling plays

the fact that lone women would be in dangerous situations would raise a lot of suspicion, so yeah

McAvoy was hard overacting

This movie is sick anyone that disagrees just has shot taste in spy movies. Theron was fantastic, in fact, most of the performances were good except maybe the French chick but hard to tell if that's how she was directed to be. Would love to see a sequel or more Theron femme fatales kino.

Praising female protagonist flicks won't get you laid incel.

>except maybe the French chick but hard to tell if that's how she was directed to be
Yeah, Sophia was crap and she's not even good looking

I agree with him that Theron was good. She has the smouldering and physicality that makes a good spy movie protagonist. Movie was shit otherwise, though.

>Theron was good.
Whiteknighting actresses won't get you laid incel. There has never been a good female performance in a movie. It's all just memes and political correctness.

Boring as shit and way too long. It also had that annoying as fuck thing with the 'stylish' neon 80s and most popular pop songs playing every three minutes. Terrible.

Lol, what a pathetic comment. How sad is your tiny life, loser?

>There has never been a good female performance in a movie
I don't know how you can make statements like this and not realize that you're a walking meme

I have a feeling people didn't really understand the plot

>t. Leftist onions boi larping as /pol/ incel
Fuck female protags in general but the movie was entertaining. Charlize was the best part and McAcvoy was shit.

Easy to miss when it takes the backseat to visuals

it was pretty great. I liked the gritty fight scenes but like the fucking twist came out of left field for me and made me go wtf was the point of this movie

>glib facsimile

It's kinda bad, but the long cut was great and I liked that she walked away from a lot of the fights barely standing. Not something you see in action movies a lot.

Who would win out of atomic blonde and John wick?

John Wick, he's never really in any danger in his movies

It merely began to expose Leitch as being a shit director and that Stahelski was responsible for the best of John Wick
>Deadpool 2
>Hobbs and Shaw

As if any more proof was needed that the Division film was going to be shit

Boutella deserved bigger role.

Why? She was an incompetent spy.

The female lead could have been replaced by a man and the movie would have been exactly the same. This is not how you do a strong female lead, by making her act like a man

Still if not her photos, Lorraine wouldn't know shit.

>glib facsimile
that takes me back to 2016 when the redditors were here but they werent the only people here

I disagree since Theron looking sexy was about 50% of the movie

What make actor could have been as cool and sexy as Theron?

nic cage easily

This.

why did she bathe in ice cubes?

Does the film studio really think people will watch the Continental hotel and ballerina spinoff?

it felt like besson was going through the motions tbqhwydf

I think for pains bruises

I think people forget that being a spy isn't blowing stuff up and killing people like in the more recent james bond movies. You're behind enemy lines, trying to find out what they're up to. This movie did a good job with that role

woah shut the fuck up

No one here cares what you think.

do people still describe things as "sick" seems like a very 2012 millenial thing to do.

mummy pusy
