Early breakaway = being "allowed" to ride away and later caught, late breakaway = riding away from the favourites. Success from an early breakaway doesn't necessarily mean a rider is back on top, being able to win from a favourites group does. But at least /pinot/ is relevant again so I'll take it as progress

I think this is a much better DACH tour start than last year, I love northern Germany but we just have no fucking climbs.
Starting in Düsseldorf with the neutralised start at the Königsallee, the main shopping street of the city, and a finish at the Cologne Neumarkt, we take a long detour to Aachen for some KOM justification. I thought about going all the way to Limburg but then it's called DACH tour not DACHNL tour
