Few crusty bitches
Few crusty bitches
Being Irish I should hate him but I don't.
>Now, now, Bill, you swore this was a battle between warriors not a bunch of Miss Nancys.
>So warriors is what l brought.
Proceeds to die immediately.
Is this movie worth watching? After that scene, I switched over to a different movie
He did nothing wrong. All of them were murderers or thieves but I was supposed to hate him because one guy of his gang was really racist and he didn’t like the Irish even though he had two on his gang, fucking stupid movie
Also he had a code of honor and respected the preacher because he fought like a man and Leo DiCaprio betrayed his trust by being a bitter kid that didn’t understand grown ups
>call themselves the natives
>all white dudes
What was their problem again? Irish too white for them?
>Neeson, the second best actor of the film dies five minutes in
Fuck this shit. It should have been his son that died. The movie would have become about Neeson seeking vengeance on Lewis which would have been pure fucking kino. Instead that fag Dicraprio and Diaz gave way to a shitfest.
Actually he was a bitch and even though the preacher had spared his life, he came back to kill him anyway and when he realized he couldn't win a straight fight, he threw a body at the preacher and stabbed him from behind it and then claimed he was a man.
Also, he wasn't racist. He was just against a bunch of foreign assholes coming here and expecting handouts. He allowed the Irish men in his gang because they had dedicated themselves to the country and thus in his eyes, they were Americans.
>Bill claims to be a man
>throws a body at the preacher and stabbed him from behind it like a bitch
This. He deserved getting shot like a bitch by Amsterdam.
It's worth watching for Daniel Day Lewis yeah.
Oh yeah forgot about stabbing in the back, but that wasn’t the reason why Leo was angry at him, he was just angry because he lost his daddy. Bill still didn’t do nothing wrong after that
This film is severely underrated and Leo's performance is fine. Fuck the haters
The villain makes the movie worthwhile. He's one of my very favorite movie villains.
>doesn’t kill the son but instead gives him a chance to to come back and fight him “when he’s ready” as his father before him had done
Gangs is kino and I wish we had more such movies
Leo is watchable but Cameron Diaz isn't.
>doesn't care for fiddeling bends
>stabs both the priest and monk in the back
He was a based man of his time who sees practicality in things while the dead rabbits were catholic fundamentalists. He believes only of the time and place he was birthed in hence why you see him happily dying just to reject the idea of the changing times.
Leo should have raped her in the alley as punishment for the theft. Would have made for a more interesting story.
people on here seem to dislike it, but it's pretty good, yes
Crazy that the whole set was real and not CGI. Scorsese is a genius
no the movie sucks, only retards like it
>After that scene, I switched over to a different movie
what? I don't understand this sentiment at all
yah wow a mudhole intersection of five streets is hard to arrange never thought about it before i can't believe he used real actors too
He was a coward and a bitch who claimed he was honorable but stabbed anyone in the back who actually was if he thought he couldn't beat them in a fair fight. His cause was not wrong but his methods were bullshit and he got fucked in the end because of his hypocrisy.
Monk was a prime example. He followed all the laws. Got voted in. Tried to bring peace and got murdered for it. Bill was a bitch and deserved a more painful death.
I was drunk and wanted to watch Midnight Rush or whatever with Charles Grodin. I also switched off The Godfather when everyone was Sepia Toned in Italy, god I was about to fall asleep!
I really like the movie. I'm a sucker for gritty period films, though.
>I killed the last honorable man, 15 years ago
good god why are you sperging over a fictional character? He didn't act honorable nor ever said he was throughout the movie. Last honorable man died 15 years ago. He was a villain but still interesting.
>villain
