My mother had started watching it, but then stopped, I guess because she forgot since she had to watch it without my father and found this other series called Rizzoli and Isles that she is enjoying quite a lot.

Did it end up having some over-arching story? Also how prominent is John Noble in it?

I liked him better in Trainspotting

The stories arc more over each season than the entire show. This one they're fighting evil Jeff Bezos.

Yes that's what it's good at. It's a fun crime of the week procedural that doesn't ask much of you, comfy to watch. Sometimes you get episodes that are complete duds, but that's to be expected.

John Noble is good but he doesn't show up much.

Kinda, there was a decent plot involving Dormer's super villain and her global crime network, and this last season they've done one about a tech billionaire who is using his data to precog murder people he thinks are going to go full retard.

They are really finally ending it? With sherlock fucking off to italy and maybe facebook guy going to jail? I enjoy this show but can't see how they are going to finish it in an hour. Especially with sherlocks "I'm the last living Holmes" thing, and the fact he loves Joan.
