I dont know how profitable it is for a movie to be shown on Netflix. By most accounts it doesnt seem that lucrative because there is so little content on Netflix. Literally just cancelled my subscription an hour ago.

I'm liking it so far. It has a lot of political messaging but it's done in a way that doesn't bother me. Episode 5 is borderline cancer though, and I'm not even Christian

Of the shows you listed, it's most like GoT since there's a lot of gore, sex and general dreariness. It also has a good deal of humor and is better written than GoT ever was. Maybe watch the first episode and see if it's your thing. I'm a little biased because I'm tired of PG-13 Disney garbage and this is pretty much just a subversion of capeshit

really would like a sequel as well. ive watched this movie probably 8 times, its really some underappreciated kino. never really was a big fan of comic books but i really enjoy the dredd universe of things. theres some really good dredd lore vids on yt u should check out. a proper trilogy would be best for this movie and its setting but i doubt we'll ever get it.

not only that but the dredd universe is based on an out of control human population - as in major overpopulation - and with that comes massive massive increases in crime, etc. so street judges become a requirement for that society to actually work as a legacy court system would be so overflowing it just wouldnt work. the picture that dredd shows us is a very possible future for mankind in terms of how we deal with law and order and to me thats unique. just look at how things are today, about more than half the population of the world has little to no respect for law and order and its only getting worse.

First time I didn't find 3D annoying as fuck. Also bought the bluray fir me and others. Spread the word.

My only criticism is that the blood effects are done in terrible and cheap CG instead of using actual blood squibs. Otherwise, 9.9/10 flick. I watch it once every few months when I hang out with my fighting game friends.

When this was in the cinema my friends didn't want to see it simply because of the original Judge Dredd movie, ignoring that this is completely different and unrelated
