Every once in a while I'll check out YTV out of nostalgia and it's so fucking bad now. It's style is cold and sterile and the hosts are bland and fake. The charm of people like Phil and Paul, or Pat and Sugar was that they were good at being off-the-cuff and had charisma. Most of the fun of The Zone was that it was pretty obvious that they were just goofing off and making it up as they went along.

PJ Katie's Farm was such a surreal show in hindsight. A half hour of a grown woman playing with badly made plasticine animals and doing all the noises and voices herself. Yet as a kid I never questioned it.

YTV blew dicks compared to Teletoon. Teletoon had comfy fucking Hannah-Barbera Jetsons and Flintstones. Teletoon Retro with 80's TMNT was kino as fuck too.

YTV was my go to place for Cartoons when it was Pokemon, Sailor Moon and the cool shows at night until Teletoon became the place a few years later. Sugar was annoying

I rewatched all of Reboot last year. It's actually more amazing as an adult because you get the subtext. It's pretty much a war story. I didnt realize Enzo was afraid of taking yo Bob because he was ashamed of becoming s brutal killer. And it has fucking lots of weird kinky shit with Hex.

I've heard that in America it only ever aired briefly on the short lived Fox Family channel. I know in Australia its really well known and popular with people in their 20s, since it was aired nationally in the early 2000s, up until about 2005 or so.
