Why did she do all this shit in the first place. What does Homelander think of all this, does he actually like his son? It's so much more interesting than just, "Superman bad, want revenge".

I don't think he was meant to have an arc where he goes from idolizing heroes to seeing them for who they really are, it's more like he stops blindly believing PR he's blasted with 24/7 and starts examining the reality of his world
