Formerly Enchantment

I hope never.

I don't get it.

Never, hopefully never.

This show is too tame.

-Throw some swear words in.
-Show some sex scenes
-have the princess character get full-on naked, and VERY often!

Abuse the fact that you're on Netflix now, Groening.

Nobody cares about the second season of Disenchantment. Not even Care-o.

Nobody will even get that joke because nobody watched the show. It was Netflix's lowest viewed original programming ever. Matt Groening only made Disenchantment in the first place so he would have new stories to tell the East Asian loli sex slaves as they massage his gangrenous, disgusting feet.

If they just made a Simpsons-like show and Harmonized it a little bit it would've worked, instead they just made what is basically zombie Futurama.

Next month apparently. I personally thought this show was very comfy and will watch more.
Still I think some of the characters are terrible. The King and the Demon guy are cool but Bean and Elfo literally make no sense.

Bean:
>Drunk like homer
>Clumsy like Amy
>Also an amazing fighter who is actually independent and capable like Leela
>Literally murders people for fun
>Is treated as a victim just because she has to get married while she's the most privileged character on the show
I guess it must be satire but it's poorly done.

Elfo:
>smart and cynical in Elf Land
>innocent retard in Human Land
>his character arc was being a Beta orbiter
I'm glad he fucking died.

The show was funny tho, so I hope they can fix this terrible characters. In comedy, the characters need to be simple, fact!

>It was Netflix's lowest viewed original programming ever.
Blatant lie, the show got picked up for 3 more seasons.

I doubt it's lowest but Netflix "picking up seasons" doesn't mean anything about viewers.
HBO constantly does this, where they renew shows to increase interest and then end up cancelling it when it doesn't work.

I won't be watching. It had the worst comedic timing I've ever seen.

I partially agree, whoever edited it, should be shot.

>the Demon guy are cool
I see people everywhere say this and I keep wondering- Why?
He doesn't have much to do in the story, doesn't play-off any of the other characters and his only humor is the running gag of him being called a cat.
Shit character just like the rest of them.

He had the best gags. A few good punchlines and that bowing gag which was the funniest part of the show.

I think they are probably rethinking the concept as it didn't work as well as they hoped.

Not just the editing

The character's motivations are gained and dropped whenever convenient. Drunkenness is a substitute for personality. The jokes drag on or are too wordy. The main character could only be edgy in the 80's. Overly long shots of the CGI kingdom. One minute the elf kingdom is accessible only through a doorway, the next it has a wall that can be shot over? Animation is not punchy or expressive. Bean has 2 rows of teeth. Bad show.

Season 1 isn't over yet. Netflix is doing with this show what Comedy Central did with Futurama: split each season across two years. Season 1 Part 1 was dumped last autumn, now Part 2 premieres in September. It was renewed for a second season that will be released in two parts in 2020 and 2021.

but netflix never has anything go longer than 2 or 3 seasons

oh thought this got cancelled?
It barely left any impact

It has potential, i wish they make elfo better. A LOT of inconsistency in quality per episode

>what is orange is the new black
>what is house of cards

You can't make a show like the Simpsons today, and have any success, because the internet has killed edge culture, the same as widely available porn has rendered Hollywood sex bait obsolete.
We've had a Renaissance in the lol so random era of shows, but now that is also becoming stale as fuck
Interactive fiction, as in narrative Vidya is the way to go, which will basically let them retell the same stories again, but this time with the viewer interacting in some way or another

I honestly think wholesome comedy will see a rise soon. Not straight white apologist comedy but sincere character comedy. See Joe Pera Talks with You.

>alt-right/weird/frog twitter
His name is Groyper.

I thought he was Easter frog?

Yeah, but you go to the internet to consume edge culture, not a TV show
Reminder that the Simpsons success was based on being a cartoon show with adult themes and massive cynical content. My point is that you can't drive views to your TV on edge content, because the internet in unbeatable in that field

that show is so fucking jewish it's obscene

Tuxedo Pepe has overtaken him

TV is obsolete, no one watches it anymore. All that matters is "content" which can exist across any and all platforms. Most people watch "TV shows" on their phones or tablets now.

I agree. Tv could pull a 180 and become a fantasy window to comfort from reality. They abandoned fantasy in favor of reality shows 20-30 years ago, and now that the internet is more real than ever, they could go back to making good values content

>that show is so fucking jewish it's obscene
how?

TV only exists on the internet now, though. It's been subsumed.

all the actors are heebs

based

Yeah I agree. But I mean tv content, as in shows and movies. Fantasy is their future again, imo
Just check how capeshit and tolkienesche stuff gets all the money now
TV cynicism can't beat internet cynicism.

based

Yeah (Joe doesn't look that Jewish), it's pretty wholesome tho.

Joe Pera kicks ass.

I think the Tolkien bubble burst with this final season of GoT.

Imagine the ratings of a black panther tv series with rappers guest staring every week
People like that garbage now
And a girl Harry Potter tv series with magic and spells and dragons
And ofc, a starwarsesche tv series
But I mean with solid adventures and not stupid political shit nor irl issues

no, I agree that fantasy is big right now, but I think the Tolkien-esque dungeons&dragons stuff peaked.

Yeah, that's true. GoT got too big and fucked up in the end

>Marrying a porn star

I kind of liked it.

It was The Citty of... and became The Lost City of...

When I can stomach more than 1 episode of it, i.e. never.
