You see, the life of a pimp is different from that of a square

It's an okay if you discount which ever political side is currently losing saying it's a mirror image of America

A better question is, why does this movie trigger Yea Forums so bad?

it's funny wether it's true or not

I think it's very funny, even in the scenes that don't produce a laugh out loud moment are still stupid enough that they'll entertain you

It's hysterical.

It's not funny unless you're an elitist. I personally found it terrifying and depressing.

>terrifying and depressing
I wouldn’t take a future where a movie called ‘Ass’ getting 8 Oscars all that seriously.

You talk like a fag and your shit's all retarded

Yep.

I felt like it was just too on the nose to be funny. I had a few chuckles. I got the message loud and clear, but it's one of those messages that will fall on deaf ears because people NEVER want to stop and think about whether they're the dummies or not.

More at the prospect of global IQ declining, Mike Judge was right and it happening.

OW MUH BALLZ

>people NEVER want to stop and think about whether they're the dummies or not
How do you expect dummies to know whether they dumb or not? Everyone thinks they're smart.

Welcome to Costco, I love you.

Easy scrote, there's a lot of tards out there living kick ass lives

My first wife was tarded, she's a pilot now

ij0j

This post was brought to you by Carl's Jr.

This particular individual is a particular spazzy individual and talks like a fag.

I thought it was mostly pretty boring and ugly to look at with a few decent parts spiced in.

It’s funny but I feel like Cohen and Judge pat themselves on the back a little too much with the whole “le documentary” shit. There’s only like 2 things in the film that became partially true and say what you will about Trump but he never shot a machine gun in the Oval Office or used Gatorade to grow crops or whatever.

I watched this a few dsys ago and holy shit it is complete dog shit. It is honestly like a D list movie and the stupid "le dumb speak" everyone has got was annoying after 30 seconds

I don't remember if it's funny or not, but it's very fascinating. Definitely kino.
Oh look the contrarians are here!

Go away, batin'!

funny when I was 14 , now it just seems kinda mediocre

I bet you think voting matters.

Have you seen the movie? Dax is Yea Forums. It's like a personal assault on them.

a movie dumber than its concept

Your kids are starving. Carl's Jr. believes no child should go hungry. You are an unfit mother. Your children will be placed in the custody of Carl's Jr. Carl's Jr... "Fuck You, I'm Eating."

Didn't have this, so no.

>global IQ declining
It might be declining in relation to right now, but as a whole of the human species, we're still way far ahead in the fucking game where for thousands of years, reading and writing was only for the elite.

Funnier than clerks

Do yous guys think this movie was pushing a hereditarian message, or did people just become dumber and dumber because it was only poor and uneducated people having kids?

bump

It was remarkably prescient though it failed to account for why people are stupid (twitter et al)

The funniest line is your shit's all retarded.

elitist bullshit from retards who unironically talk about reading books like they just invented the printing press

I watched this a couple days ago and got in about 25% of the way through, and I literally thought it was a documentary. LOL

It apparently does judging from the last election

Nothings changed

>Documentaries about Donger Turnip
>Funny
You tell me, user

Yes it has. Race relations is the lowest it's ever been and in 5 years we will have a race war.

reminder
>the jews sunk this movie when it came out since it put the master plan on display
look into it.
they pulled all advertising and didnt even promote the movie once the studio got a hold of the screener.

legacy.aintitcool.com/node/24374
read this and the wiki page on it if you dont believe me
unless you believe in coincidences.

They dodged the race part, where the vast majority of really stupid people would be black.

I laughed just reading this.. I guess I'm just a simple guy.

Attached: DQpWAyHX4AEfdzW.jpg (675x1200, 63K)

Fuck you

So you're saying it's a documentary.

Office Space is better.

>president Camacho blasting with a M249
>not kino
Get the fuck out pleb

They didn't dodge the race part at all, literally everyone was mixed and speaking with Latino slang.

yeah but it made the mistake of documenting the wrong thing.
it hit to close to the (((truth))) so once they got their hands on it they SHUT IT DOWN.

Being poor and uneducated is not necessarily an indication that a person is dumb, and nor is having wealth and education a perfect indication that a person is intelligent. It is however a lazy man's heuristic.

>It is however a lazy man's heuristic.
It's a good thing that that's not my heuristic then, huh? I was asking which pov the movie was trying to push.

More disturbing than it is "funny".

I can fly. I'm a pilot.

do you even know when this movie came out?
you're literally supporting the movie's message if you think its about trump

>was it hereditary?
>did people just become dumber and dumber because it was only poor and uneducated people having kids?
what did he mean by this?

Idiocracy's original release date was August 5, 2005, according to Mike Judge.[12] In April 2006, a release date was set for September 1, 2006. In August, numerous articles[13] revealed that release was to be put on hold indefinitely. Idiocracy was released as scheduled but only in seven cities (Los Angeles, Atlanta, Toronto, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, and Mike Judge's hometown, Austin, Texas),[9] and expanded to only 130 theaters,[14] not the usual wide release of 600 or more theaters.[15] According to the Austin American-Statesman, 20th Century Fox, the film's distributor, was entirely absent in promoting the feature;[9] while posters were released to theaters, "no movie trailers, no ads, and only two stills",[16] and no press kits were released.[17]

The film was not screened for critics.[18] Lack of concrete information from Fox led to speculation that the distributor may have actively tried to keep the film from being seen by a large audience, while fulfilling a contractual obligation for theatrical release ahead of a DVD release, according to Ryan Pearson of the AP.[14] That speculation was followed by open criticism of the studio's lack of support from Ain't It Cool News,
>Lack of concrete information from Fox led to speculation that the distributor may have actively tried to keep the film from being seen by a large audience

what a coincidence

I think it will be a classic

Spoopy

Attached: 1557781554574.jpg (400x450, 26K)

I was asking whether the film had a biological determinist message (which i largely agree with) or if it was trying to say that the decline was due to socialization and culture. I'm becomming increasingly drunk, so you have to work with me a little bit here.

Wrong

Everyone in the future had Spanish names

Mike Judge is from Texas and has witnessed the destruction of Hispanics first hand. He goes on Alex Jones all the time, he is based and red pilled

Pretty sure Trump has been around since the 80s buddy. I saw him on French Prince.

the first 15 to 20 minutes are comedy gold. I still remember most of the prison break because I found it to be hilarious. The rest of the movie is basically
>dumb people like porn and wrestling

I found it quite funny and redpilled when it first came out in 2006.

Attached: Jeff Davis.jpg (3840x2160, 1.54M)

>love wrestling and have never went more than half a year without jerking it
guys?

I bet you see that face in your dreams

UPGRAYEDD

Fucking this.

Sounds like you’re a red blooded American.

now go back to Yea Forums, fuckface

I can tell you who is smart or dumb.
I can tell without a shadow of a doubt. Say some things I'll tell you which one you are.

>He goes on Alex Jones all the time, he is based and red pilled

Honestly, one of Alex's greatest interviews

Smart people think they're dumb, dumb people think they're smart. That easy.

Smart people don't think they are dumb lol. If you are actually smart it becomes very obvious who the dumb people are.

100% bullshit. That would mean that I'm smart and that's definitely not true.

>Go away, Batin

nice job proving his point retard

eh, I think a better indicator is if they like being called smart.

There are scientists out there who like being called smart. It's an ego thing.

If you think that smart people think they are dumb you are a coping dumb ass. If you think you are dumb trust that instinct.

The only true knowledge is knowing that you know nothing.
-Bill S. Preston, Esq.

Retarded quote. Literally a hack who is ripping off Confucius. Badly because the original quote is about wisdom not intelligence. If you think you are incapable of knowing anything congratulations on being a pseudointellectual retarded dumbass.

Shut up, Ted!

It’s funny but it runs out of steam in the second act. It mainly acts as a bunch of sketches cobbled together.

I think that the quote might be something along the lines of "once you know that you know nothing, then you know something." I agree with that quote. Sorry, frens.

low IQ: siding with the libtard protag
very high IQ: siding with the based conservatives from the future

I work at Sams Club. Sometimes I get stuck on the front door and I'll re-enact that scene for shits and giggles.
>go slack jawed and slouch
>thousand yard stare
>welcome to Sams club, I love you
>weird worried looks from everyone except the 1 in 100 who get my joke

Attached: 1516586040877.png (1136x640, 745K)

Based user.

If you have one bucket that contains 2 gallons and another bucket that contains 7 gallons, how many buckets do you have?

You make the world a better place

So you don't know even a single thing? I'm sorry but that's a hollow expression meant to appeal to pseudo
>Buts it's like you figuratively know nothing man
Name one way in which that is true. It is absolutely not in even figuratively.

Its a pretty weird movie for me. It's like Judge wrote an angry letter but put in jokes after every sentence after the fact. He knew how to handle pessimism well in Office Space but in Idiocracy it's incredibly overbearing, almost bitter. The ending comes completely out of left field, as if someone else wrote it in because of how out of place and optimistic it is.
Dont get me wrong it has some really good, memorable bits but I wouldnt tell anyone to watch this if they were looking for something "funny".

>That ending
>optimistic
Lmao I swear its already happened.

You're probably better off talking to someone else. Because I'm dumb and I know for SURE that I don't know anything. I'm like a retarded bug, interpreting things through sensory perception.

All we are is dust in the wind dude

Dust
wind
dude
-Bill S. Preston, Esq.

Ahh a woman then. My condolences.

No, I'm a Saiyan. (I've attained SSJ1 btw.)

ah, mexican

I actually live in Luxembourg.

keep coping retard
scientists are largely retarded

ow my balls

Look at the way they portrayed future TV, now look at how most smart phone app interfaces and videos on youtube are designed, and tell me there's not disturbing similarities.

And there was a time in this country, a long time ago, when reading wasn't just for fags and neither was writing. People wrote books and movies, movies that had stories so you cared whose ass it was and why it was farting, and I believe that time can come again!

It was fucking hilarious to me seeing the president enter the stage like a goddamn wrestling match was about to begin. Film isn't perfect but I had a few laughs and a lot of sensible chuckles.

and that ow my balls guy show became a real thing on youtube and they even gave him his own show on MTV after he went on Tosh.0

Its funny, i never heard it was taken seriously

it was funny when it came out but the humor is really dated

It's funny in that very particular Mike Judge way. It's not an overt laugh-out-loud kind of funny, more a consistent stream of well crafted sensible chuckles that you can go back and appreciate for the latent social commentary. Office Space and King of the Hill are the same type of humor, IMO. It's not particularly deep commentary, but it's enough to give his work some substance. KOTH in particular loves to make subtle fun of it's characters that are themselves inseparable products of their environment, and thus, satirize the environment itself. Each joke has layers. The first layer is a joke on it's face, poking fun at a character or using a character for a gag. The second layer is typically plot related, and serves to move the story forward. The third layer is the satire. It's what most sets him apart from more in-your-face comedies of the early 2000s like, say, Freddy Got Fingered. That movie has a satirical bend to it, but is more a loose framework for a series of over-the-top gags.

Are you sure about that?
