Question... Why are (((disney))) making half assed live action remakes of some of the most beautiful hand crafted animations ever to exist on earth?
Why not just re release the animations in cinemas with a remastered label on it without embarrassing yourself like this?
Is this just a jewish ploy to get more female directors in film or something?
They make a shit ton of money, that's all their is too it.
>tramp
wow, dog shaming much?
Some people aren’t fond of Disney drawn cell style animation.
And yes, that includes me.
I don’t mind some old Disney animations, but I was usually fonder of the TV shows, and Warner stuff, and Pixar, and Ardman than most older Disney animated films up thru films Like the Lion King and Beauty and the Beast which I didn’t really like either.
Disney has had enough time for feedback and reflection to fix things some audiences didn’t like about the older animations, and combine these with live action and realistic CGI for remakes of older films for kids who don’t like the look of the drawing on older Disney animations.
My best guess is that they see conversations like these as a form of "natural language marketing." Parents and children can watch (and pay for) both the new and the original and then discuss which one they prefer at the dinner table.
I’m not wrong though.
I never had too much of a problem with older Warner Looney Tunes, and even enjoyed watching them, but other than Fanasia, I never really gave a crap about Disney animated films.
I’m sure there are some that are good but when my parents used to mention renting films I always groaned at the suggestion of Disney animations.
Disney live action versions just give Disney another option to sell the same film to a viewer who doesn’t like cell drawn animation, worse comes to worse, the viewer just buys the older drawn version of the film.
Walt Disney Feature Animation is the gold standard, user.
youtube.com
Classic Disney might have been the gold standard for cell animation, but it diesn’t appeal to all audiences.
The color palate looks great on remastered films, but it still uses secondary colors and tones that are not going to appeal as well to some children.
This clip for instance, uses colors that where popular during the Gilded Age in the USA.
More modern animation like Wreck it Ralph goes for a different color palette that is more appealing nowadays.
The current animation is also made to have more depth of field, something missing from the der Disney animation.
Also, it’s sort of creepy that a movie meant for children has songs about fresh oysters, when it’s based on a work by Lewis Carrol.
The fuck?! Does Disney just want to smash its foundations? The whole point of these animated classics was that they were timeless. Disney's power base is built on them. Do they want to tear down their castle?
Animation allowed them to have memorable scenes with perfect control of every line of animation. Even with CGI, it's not as icnoic. The characters just don't stand out as much. Using live animals makes it even worse. They make everything look generic. The original animation was finely tuned to be stunning. The cartoons embed themselves in our brains. This is just another dog you could see on your cousin's Instagram.
Dark Murky colors.
Poorly drawn candle, renaisance artists and medievel artists could do better.
Protagonists drawn in a Brown and a Grey color.
Flat.
Forgot to add.
Songs.
Ralph Breaks the Internet even joked about the Disney Princess songs.
Not everything needs to be tailored to your fucking sensibilities
Nor yours, which is exactly why Disney is remaking the films in live action versions.
People who like the cell drawn versions can just purchase them on BluRay or DVD, and people who don’t like them might like the newer versions.
It’s like the difference between people who like creepy Steamboat Willy Mickey and Friendlier red shorts Mickey.
Go back to editing your next video, Adam.
So everything should be bright neon you fucking zoomer.
