The LEGO Movie was way too reliant on shoyu pop culture references for my taste. That old Aussie short film with the spacemen and the portal had a lot more soul.

I'm digging Basil the Batlord and the Pirate (Redbeard?). No Johnny Thunder is a travesty though. Also Rocket Racer and that Alien with the cool mask should be included. Probably a ninja and a skeleton too.

Do you lads remember getting the Bioncle comics from the LEGO club? Such a based time in my childhood. I remember getting back from summer camp and going directly into camping with my parents but my mom brought the newest LEGO mag which had the PREVIEW and preorder form for the Toa Nuva, the ones with the silver armor and shit on them.

I remember looking at that page every day for like an hour.
