How did not a person in the building hear the chainsaw and woman screaming?

Because they're all shallow, affluent urbanites who don't even know their neighbours names let alone care if one of them is murdering a prostitute
That's the whole point, they don't care about the exterior. The whole movie is about how there could be a serial killer during the yuppie era but nobody cares.
One time at 2-3am in this student apartment complex I lived in, I heard the sound of chainsaws and maybe someone screaming. I know I didn't imagine it because I heard a roommate of mine get up, pace around our living room trying to determine the location of the sound, and I heard him say "the fuck is that noise". Needless to say no police arrived at our apartment complex and the incident was quickly forgotten.
Isnt it implied at the end of the movie that it was only a psychotic delusion?
Did you forget that the entire killing spree was in his head?
>it was all a dream!
there are things that hint that some of the killings were delusions and some were real, it is supposed to be ambiguous.
Someone probably just got their pecker stuck in a leaf blower on the "suck" setting.
so imagine you sitting at your desk, shitposting on Yea Forums, and suddenly hear a chainsaw buzzing and a woman screaming. Would you realistically go out to see what's going on?
i would unsheath my blade first.
you don't get the movie
Because none of it ever happened
I would just call the police if it sounded real. If it was outside I would grab my gun and sweat by the door for a minute, pray, then go out there and pretend I'm tougher than I am.
They were all busy checking these
Formerly “feed” setting
that's not even how the joke goes retard
it was all in his head he was bored out of his mind because he did absolutely nothing at his job all the drawings on his dayplanner were just his daydreams which he saw in real life
I'm pretty sure if someone was running around their apartment building with a chainsaw 80s yuppies would care.
Likewise I'm pretty sure if 20-30 people mysteriously vanished in the same area of New York in a short span of time the police at the very least would care.
This whole "DUDE THEYRE SO SELF ABSORBED AND DUMB THEY DONT NOTICE THE PSYCHO" is absolutely retarded and surface level
*which we all saw on the film
Dude, during the whole movie Bateman says that he is a psychopath and nobody cares even when is putting a big fucking body bag with Paul Allen's body everything thta Louis that said was where did he bought that bag.
how is the sequel?
he didn't kill anyone, it was all in his head
Milan Kunis is hilariously miscast and it's not good or even memorable.
And I'm saying that aspect is stupid.
I remember one night when I was a kid I lived right by endless fields and forests, I heard a women scream and scream in the night and never did anything and I've never mentioned it to anyone until this post
It didn't happen. The part where he bites her leg was ripped from Nightmare on Elm Street 2. Bateman has a penchant for horror movies so he probably seen it and imagined it in daydream while he was at that crayon restaurant.
>runs at girl with chainsaw
>chainsaw suddenly is gone and he's trying to hit/bite her
>chainsaw back in next scene
It was all in his head
Maybe she was having sex
could've been a fox
Based!
It's not stupid, just exaggerated to make normies understand it. Urbanites are in fact self absorbed zombies irl.
