What is the most Millennial movie - Scary Movie or American Pie?
What is the most Millennial movie - Scary Movie or American Pie?
none of them are millennial movies
Those are Gen X movies with Gen X actors, what are you talking about? There was a whole generation between Boomers & Millennials, retards.
this
That's not about ages of actors. That's about the feeling of those times.
>posting Gen X movies and thinking they're millennials
shut the fuck up you retarded zoomer
Holy shit, those deformed feet.
Reminder to wear fitting footwear over fashionable one.
In that case, Hannah Gadsby "Nanette".
The movies came out when Early Millennials (born 82-85/6) were in high school. Gen X was mostly out of high school when those movies came out.
People used to consider 98-99 the firm start of Millennial teen culture, but nowadays you've got people born in 85 claiming they're Gen X or that Backstreet Boys and Blink-182 are Gen X music or that American Pie is a Gen X movie, or that Millennial teen culture didn't truly begin until 2004-05 with emo.
Absolute retard
Donnie Darko
So Gen X was too old to get into Nirvana?
I don't know what list you are looking at but its wrong.
Star Wars
ppl born in the 90s and ppl born in the 80s had very different cultural upbringings. The former were raised on the Internet and had access to an unlimited source of endless and uncontrolled information.
90s millennials are a lot more similar to Gen Z than they are to 80s millennials
>ppl born in the 90s and ppl born in the 80s had very different cultural upbringings. The former were raised on the Internet and had access to an unlimited source of endless and uncontrolled information.
>90s millennials are a lot more similar to Gen Z than they are to 80s millennials
No. Millennials born in 93 are a lot more similar to millennials born in 87 than zoomers born in 99 who grew up on Bieber and iCarly.
Late Gen X (born 75-81) were the primary audience for Nirvana.
>the most
>only posts two options
Fucking Christ, you people get dumber by the day.
idk early 90s millennials seem pretty close to 80s millennials
imo, the best range for milliennials would be 82-96. if you were a kid and turned 10 or older in 1991, you are Gen X
This is a fact. Growing up as the internet and smartphones came into their own is much different than growing up with them fully realised from the start. I was born in 93 and played outside with other neighborhood kids, whereas I haven't seen a roaming gang of children basically since then.
yeah i'm '92 and more similar in outlook to my '89 brother than my '97 one. I usually go by whether or not someone fully remembers 9/11 as it happened
american wedding
Millennials really need to stop being ashamed of growing up in the 2000's. Obsessing this much about generation defining is really bad cope. Nobody else does this.
1. Those movies were created in the ~2000
2. Actors there are schoolboys\girls
There is a clearly border between Y and Z gen in the 2000\2001.
Y - prefer Scary Movie\American Pie
Z - prefer Harry Potter\Hobbits
>Millennials really need to stop being ashamed of growing up in the 2000's
who the fuck is ashamed of that? the 2000s were awesome. great music and hot emo chicks
bad take
Not Another Teen Movie > American Pie
For me, Greg Lansky's Blacked defines the millennial generation.
We were the first generation to openly admit we enjoy watching white women get fucked by big black cocks.
the older generation Xers and boomers were racist as hell but they still enjoyed jerking off to the idea of tyrone fucking the shit out of the pretty blonde that lived across the street
only half of millennials really "grew up" in the 2000s. most were 10 or older by then
Who cares? Millennials are fucking over, only just shy of a year at most before they lose all "hip" commercial viability. You're fucking old now guys, deal with it.
the most Millenial movie is either The Bling Ring, Booksmart, or Tangerine
What's the more millennial pop star? Britney Spears or Backstreet Boys?
this
what's even more cringe-worthy about millennials is they still post on immature sites like Yea Forums.
they need to fuck off and get married already and stop being irresponsible virgin neckbeards
Yep, I noticed that in 2018-2019 there seemed to be a sharp shift in attention over to Zoomers.
Eminem
10 is about when you start growing up
I was born in 1990 and still consider myself to have "grown up" in the early 2000s. Ages 11-16 are very formative. You wouldn't consider yourself to have been a "hippy" if you weren't at least old enough to experience the teenage culture.
>You're fucking old now guys, deal with it.
nothing wrong with that if you're a male. men age like a fine wine unlike women.
it certainly doesn't stop millennial and Gen X men from fucking Gen Z women LOL!
Evanescence
The Black Eyed Peas
Eminem
Kylie Minogue
Die Antwoord
Limp Bizkit
The Prodigy
Rammstein
People born in 1990 and 1991 have a lot in common with 80s borns, likewise 1998 and 1999 borns have a lot in common with 2000s borns/zoomers. I still feel as though that 1992-1997 can easily be lumped together as one group that grew up with most of the same stuff in the early-mid 2000s, and which entered puberty around the same time
zoomer "males" have been so filled with s/o/y since birth they can't get an erection lol
I was born in 2001 and my jam were the Step Up movies, real kino
Surprisingly I've never heard of those
I guess that's an apt comparison considering only 1% of wine is actually aged over 5 years, and only under ideal conditions. Millennial men are fatter, balder, and more incel than any generation of men before them at their age. They really are the laziest generation.
a genY male which tried to be like a genZ male vs a genY female which feel herself as a genX female
Between those two, definitely Britney Spears.
For better or much, much worse, I think it's actually Waiting.
Here's how it goes, broken into both teen eras and childhood eras.
In terms of teen culture, Millennial culture probably spanned from like 1998-1999 (Britney, TRL, skater punk) up to like 2012-2013 (tail end of electropop, end of scene/emo). After 2013-2014, high school culture started getting more zoomer with the breakthrough of Snapchat, Instagram, and trap/mumble rap.
In terms of childhood culture, Millennial culture spanned from about 1989-1991 (Disney renaissance, Ren and stimpy, Doug, Sega genesis) up to around 2004-2006 (endings of Malcolm in the middle, Kids wb, old Spongebob, and 6th gen gaming). After that, kid culture got zoomer with Ben 10, Hannah montana, iCarly, the Wii, etc.
>the 2000s were awesome. great music and hot emo chicks
Ricky Bobby
>hot emo chicks
Hot, but annoying. I prefer Goths, Grunge, and Marilyn Manson groupie girls more from the 90's more personally.
>great music
Highly questionable. Metalcore, screamo, emo, Soulja Boy & Sean Kingston style rap/hip-hop. A lot if not most of the music was pretty trash.
Scott Pilgrim vs The World
>2010
that's millennial nostalgia b8, not the same thing
Will depends on people, I think.
I'm born in 86, my gf in 92.
We get along pretty well, and people still in college are immature to her.
But I guess I make her living a life of someone a bit older, like we have a house, a dog and friends coming over for bbq during week ends, and she seems ok with that.
The fact that she grew up with brothers my age may have something to do with that.
My dad was born in the early 1960s and he got into Nirvana
Compared to zoomers born in 2000 and onwards, your childhood being the 2000s isn't so bad, but if I'd have much rather been already an adult by then and been a teenager in the 90s.
>great music
Not as good as the 90s but not as shitty as now I suppose
>hot emo chicks
Yes.
@119496285(You)
kys
Definitely American Pie. I graduated high school in 2000 so it came out at the perfect time.
The Emoji movie is the peak of millennial cinema.
Redpilled.
>Soulja Boy & Sean Kingston style rap/hip-hop
That's more the late 2000s. What about the early-mid 2000s with prime Eminem, 50 Cent, Ludacris, The Game, etc.?
I was born in 1982 and am considered a millennial. You’re talking about gen Z.
Now you've got zoomers posting nostalgia on social media for the Late 00s-Early 10s, blissfully unaware it was once widely considered the downfall shit era by ranters at the time.
Only younger millennials find this cringy. Of course everyone gets nostalgic about their childhood after reaching young adulthood.
True but that particular age group grew up in an overall shitty time that included a huge economic recession and a major low point for Disney, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network programming.
Superbad
>major low point for muh cartoons
Grow the fuck up you manchild.
I was just thinking about Superbad. It came out at the tail end of the pre-smartphone era so it’s in an interesting spot.
I didn’t really watch that era of those channels much but they objectively sucked compared to their late 90s/early 00s counterparts. Especially CN.
They did, but putting it in the same sentence as the recession, which lead to millions of people committing suicide, is fucking retarded and shows a very childish understanding of priorities.
Well I was trying to look at it from the perspective of a kid back then. Like I’m 36 and have only vague memories of the Gulf War but I certainly remember the cartoons I was watching.
And zoomers born in 93 are different from boomers born in 99.
Boomer and zoomer are mentalities.
>spend the last 10 or so years constantly hearing “only 90s kids will remember this” before it was used ironically as a meme
>constantly reminded about 90s nostalgia by annoying millennials
>zoomers now becoming adults and feel nostalgic for late 00s and early 10s, like every generation before them
>Millennials having an absolute chimp out
The emo 2000s were when it was first acceptable for men to look feminine. Girls were actually attracted to guys who looked like this.
youtube.com
It's no surprise that Gen Z took it further and made gender fluidity and transitioning mainstream.
pic related: cute Gen Z trans girl
People of that age used to be universally considered a pile of shit by ranters at the time, but now you're trying to cram yourselves into the old school.
Someone made this just to be irritating.
Which generation is responsible for BLACKED?
>made by Jewish boomers sold to western millennials
It's more like a realization and people coming to grips with getting older, like every age group does.
Like I remember in 2012 when people on Yea Forums were like "Can you imagine years from now, kids getting nostalgic for Minecraft and Pewdiepie the way we obsess over the 90s? Oh god that'll feel so weird when it comes true". Years later that did indeed come true, and it does feel weird.
why do millennial men love watching white women get fucked by black guys?
I know what it is. Millennials are in their 30s and are no longer the new kids on the block, as zoomers are now slowly taking over the culture. Honestly, it’s the annoying mentality that a lot of millennials have
>sorry zoomers, but you can’t be nostalgic about insert-x
Meanwhile I remember when gen-xers were doing the same shit. It’s a moronic cycle of anger.
Except they weren't gays, you faggot.
We just like watching girls get fucked by big dicks, it just so happens that nigs get the big dick roles in hollywood.
>Millennials are in their 30s
not all of them
It's not millennials, it's a specific group of millennials.
Pic related will tell you which one.
You weren't alive in the 80's.
>Except they weren't gays
many emo guys were bisexual/homosexual
Fucking everyone said they were bisexual back then and then never commited.
It's like being an "idealist" nowadays, lot of talk but no bite.
Are you implying there aren't people in their early 20s who hate Bieber and love Nirvana?
Because if you honestly think that, then I have a bridge to sell you.
Once again, boomer and zoomer are mentalities, not ages.
you guys ahve this discussion in every single thread. who the fuck cares. are you looking for another group of people to blame your shitty life on?
that's fake news
anyone with half a brain can tell you sweden is full of cucks who love watching scandinavian blondes ride big black cocks
>Gen x
>Teens in early 2000's
Stupid idiot
And look at that, Sweden at 1.2%, a very high score for a non-anglo.
>I was born in 1982 and am considered a millennial.
You might think you are, but a lot of people your age these days on Facebook and Buzzfeed strongly think they're not Millennials.
Maybe it meant something different in 2000, but now in 2019, the term Millennial has kinda drifted downward to refer to those born moreso in the late 80s-early 90s, who grew up on Pokemon and N64 and graduated into a Recession.
People born in 82 who grew up on Turtlemania and SNES and graduated before the Recession seem "less stereotypically Millennial" by 2019 standards.
lmao, the majority of emo guys were just larpers who wanted to get laid with emo girls.
It was either that or bullying one until she obsessed with you.
I went for the second one because the emo look is too fucking feminine.
"zoomer" isn't a thing. it's just a fake word that boomers (an actual thing, there was a real generation called the baby boomers) on Yea Forums made to insult those younger than them.
Yeah you're right.
People born in the 90s who grew up on N64, Gamecube, Pokémon, PSX, and PS2 are a lot more millennial-ish than people born in the 2000s who grew up on Wii, 360, and Wii U.
That being said, if you don't remember the Soviet Union, you're a zoomer.
>ou might think you are, but a lot of people your age these days on Facebook and Buzzfeed strongly think they're not Millennials.
good thing that doesn't fucking matter. i can consider myself a woman, that doesn't change the fact i'm not a woman.
>major low point for...
just stop. every god damn person has thought that about the generation younger than them since time began. what you liked when you were 10 was great, what kids who are 10 now like is garbage, and that has it has always been.
So people born in 1982 or objectively millennials? Like it's something that can be measured as empirically as whether you have XY or XX chromosomes?
Dumbass.
Oh god, are you that faggot from Yea Forums who keeps saying "Zoomers are 2000-present" or "Late 90s aren't zoomers" in every thread.
see
I don't believe in zoomers anymore, but yes, I used to say that.
Then I realized generations are fucking bullshit, and it's better to judge people by their mindsets/personalities.
>"Late 90s aren't zoomers" in every thread.
it's true. late 90s are not zoomers. they're old faggots who think they're still young
It's a real classification that existed before you were ever born, you don't get to decide it means something else.
>lmao, the majority of emo guys were just larpers
idk. as a black guy who was the popular basketball star in my school, tons of weird white emo dudes tried to suck my dick
many of them were fags
I assume you are American?
These girls were qt.
No, it's not a real classification. It's an arbitrary label made up by some stoner who managed to convince the world it actually meant something. It's a meme.
they were the best
i miss the emo years so much. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
en.wikipedia.org
Look at this garbage. This is about as meaningful as astrology.
This isn't something that can actually be measured, like cultural attitudes or social trends. This is just defining a whole subset of people based on an absurdly big window of birth years, and then claiming them to be part of the same nonexistent group.
i got my first blowjob from qt pie emo chick at a killswitch engage concert.
back then, howard jones was still singing
yeah, so?
Yeah, you are all a bunch of faggots over there.
Fucking weirdos.
imagine the awesomeness of hearing howard jones singing "My Curse" while you're blowing your load inside the mouth of some really cute emo chick
youtube.com
im assuming you're a eurofag? you guys like soccer. nothing more needs to be said.
This thread is a good argument for eugenics.
I lost my virginity with one, she invited me to play DMC3 on her brother's PS3 and she just threw herself at me when I got there.
Pretty comfy playing afterwards while she leaned on me and kissing me every now and then.
>someone made a drawing of this qt
Based.
all the emo chicks at my school preferred black guys
A racially ambiguous American wrote this post.
Yeah, we were 13 back then, so it caught me off guard, but it was great.
>2019
>STILL no big tiddy goth gf
better find one quick
most of the remaining goth/emo chicks are middle-aged and decomposing fast
"Generations" in general don't hold together all that well. Boomers are really an exception because there was such an anomalous influx of young people coming of age all at the same time; demographic structure is much flatter after them and subsequent generations are more of a marketing invention
Goth girls are still out there.
Not as popular, but they are.
As for emos, well, you can either go for one of those punk girls, or some girl working at hot topic, those can have a similar look.
she cute
who is that?
Harry Potter Movies
They looked faggy as hell.
Wrong post?
yeah woops
thiswas meant for this
Some goth girl, her IG is strengththruoi.
I know a guy born in 1982 and he grew up listening to stereotypically gen x rock music in the 90s rather than BSB/nu metal, and would have been old enough to remember the tail end of the 80s. He has more in common with someone born in 1977 than he does with someone born in 1986, yet people act like 1982 is the unquestionable start of millennials just because they graduated high school in 2000
so she's from berlin. that makes sense. they still have a pretty significant goth population in germany.
in the US, you're not gonna find too many goths unless you live in LA, Portland and a few other edgy cities
For the first half of his adolesence he could've listened to Gen x music like Soundgarden. But by the time he was 16-18 the Millennial music like BSB and nu metal was coming in, so he might've listened to that to (have you asked him?). 1982 is kind of a mix.
