It doesn't look too promising desu, I consider watching it (for free) just to see what it is about. I have always been fascinated by the arctic and exploration in general and japanese internment camps, while not explored that much in fiction, doesn't seem very interesting to me.

I'm very interested in Japanese mythology and the fact that instead of all the hundreds of cool monsters they could've chosen they chose le scary Asian woman who walks funny #23409890 really pisses me off.

I'm not convinced. If it wasn't called The Terror it probably wouldn't have appeared on my radar. That's kind of the problem with these anthology series that completely switch things around. It's cool they're trying some int new but how many tv shows end up as kino anyway. Not many. The terror season2 has big shoes to fill and I'm not sure they'll be able to

I get that it builds on previously established aspects of his character but it was still kind of weird.

It was okay, but bad compared to S1. Too much emphasis on generic japanese horror we have seen a million times, the characters are boring, the setting is dull fisher village and the romance sub plot just make it even more indistinguishable from everything else. Will probably marathon it at some point instead of following it like I did S1.

I believe with regards to the incident itself it's fairly accurate. But Dyatlov is demonized far more than he deserves to be. We have no records of him being a blatant asshole and liar.

I'd prefer a Ross expedition film, where Jared plays Crozier again.
