He did. And he's right. Except I would go a step further and say it was terrible on the first watch too
Mad Max Fury Road, amazing experience first time around and every attempt to rewatch it has left me more and more bored.
this got better on subsequent viewings imo. i'd say something like baby driver gets significantly worse on subsequent viewings when you realise there is no decent story and no proper character development
I disagree with it being terrible at first watch. The three times I saw it in the theater it was kino. I recently bought it and watch it at home and it was only all right. Its a depressing slog when viewed from a couch. I guess it was more of a visual feast in the theater.
Saw it about 8 times now, wish it was 4 hours long. I can watch it indefinitely.
Surrender.
>watching two time a film
who do that ?
Thats because its best seen in the cinema
Same, first half of movie is so comfy
I watched it like 5 times since release. Always comfy and kino.
Any Nolan movie
Any Snyder movie except BvS
i can always enjoy following and memento but the wankery blockbuster ones this is true for
dunkirk
Just like Alita: Battle Angel then.
It was never good
Even Rutger Hauer saw that it was soulless
>it had nice visuals so it's kino
Just disregard the lore rape, bad pacing, an hour too long runtime, bad acting, making the happy ending canon again
Every movie that relies on a big plot twist
god you sound miserable
I enjoyed it more upon rewatching it but next time I watch it I'm switching it off just before Harrison Ford appears on screen. The last third of the movie is god awful but the first two thirds are on par with the original.

Same for me except I switch it off when Jared Leto shows up. Some of the best sci fi opening scenes in recent memory until that point.
It used to be my favorite movie but then I decided to rewatch it.
Absolutely loved it the first time I saw it. I thought the suspenseful scenes were brilliant.
Second time around, not so much. Definitely best on the first watch.
Maybe it's also because I watched it in an actual Kino the first time, and on a flight the second time around.
