What's the most obscure movie you saw?
What's the most obscure movie you saw?
Other urls found in this thread:
I once saw this film from the 30/40s in black&white about apostles/missionaries who ate a man who was personifying god
Nah, I saw that when I was like 15, try again
The most obscure-popular film i've seen was "Dead man's letters", its pretty comfy watch.
But I dont recommend watching any Rus movies with the same expectations if you dont speak the language (almost all of the nuances are lost in translations)
>almost all of the nuances are lost in translations
It could be applied to many more foreign movies and Yea Forums will watch it.
These are not obscure at all.
Any movies like Zardoz?
maybe for Yea Forums, but for the average audience, it sure is.
i guess,
but ive tried watching Russian movies in non-native dub (Eng,Germ) and it felt stupid- the sentences and words used in most of Russian art simply have completely different weight to western words , and things like references and emotions are lost on the viewer when translated
This is true for allot of languages and is more appropriately attributable to the language-family and not the specific one (like Slavic languages being so similar and different from Germanic etc.etc.)
shit was boring as fuck, can't remember a thing
>not obscure
What do you mean by that , like obscure in their popularity or the movie being about an obscure topic ?
Dead Man's Letters isnt very obscure but its on the obscure side
>I know that movie so it's not obscure
Have you ever considered denying yourself existence?
Average audience only watches capeshit.
Popularity.
Yes. Also both of those films have over 2000 votes on imdb and are from well known directors, especially if you actually watch films.
Hang in there bud.
I'm trying.
Blade Runner 2049, I'm suprised that Yea Forums has even heard of it as it only made $92,054,159
Those Glory Glory Days
i dunno. if it was so obscure, i probably wouldn't have seen it.
what was it called?
I wish I remembered, it made me feel sick.
Only other time i felt so bad was when i marathoned HouseMD for 3 days straight on dexamphetamines like a retard and then this scene happened
youtube.com
I nearly died from a panic attack, but the movie itself was [appropriately for an obscure film] hard to find on youtube and last time i saw it in 2013 it had like 4k views
If people want some good and obscure Russian movies - I strongly recommend most of Yuri Bykov's work (especially "The Fool" and pic related)
There's always this one faggot.
damn, polacks made some great kinos back in the days
what is the name of that one European film which had a poster of a man (viking or just a knight) leaning against a woman. I think its Swedish or Norwegian
This one
Not so sure about how obscure this one is. But God damn it, it was a kino experience for me.
star wars the last jedi
Hope you're not talking about Begotten
that faux documentary from few years ago that was recommended in found footage general threads and some user put it on Mega for others to download. Google is not helping me but it was about George Mellies or some similar horror director from his times and people were talking about the scariest horror ever. Please, help me lads.
>What's the most obscure movie you saw?
You probably never heard of it.
Yeah you are right, that's the one.
Oh I guess it's only stylised to seem a bit older, but nevertheless its done well.
I see its actually kind of popular, but yeah it made me physically ill since the shots and effects applied make it genuinely hard to watch
