Is the 1/3 of Yea Forums that "doesn't pirate" ready to come back in time for the glorious piracy renaissance created by the sheer amount of streaming services?
Do you really want to pay 10 different bills each month to watch 10 different shows?

I guess 2-3. Currently pay for Netflix and Spotify, and am considering Disney's service too.
I only really subscribe to stuff when it offers me a level of convenience that triumphs downloading instead. Netflix is kind of on the edge with that since I mostly use it to watch a handful of its original productions a year and rewatch a few series when working out or ironing. I'm at the point where I'm considering cancelling and just torrenting the tv shows I need and the 4-6 things they do each year I care about.
If Disney has a substantial portion of their and Fox's backlog then I will gladly sub while working through it for the next year or so, maybe mkre depending on how the original shows turn out.
I really fucking miss FilmStruck though. That service was fantastic and offered me all I wanted from one.
>wasting hundreds of dollars on streaming services when you can watch any movie or tv show you want on free websites in the same quality
No wonder millennials are broke
Streaming was always a lazy man's crutch, though. Piracy always trumps it if you know where to download from.
I wonder if millennials are just financially incompetent because economics aren't taught in US high schools or if it's a social thing.
>works minimum wage
>still spends money at Starbucks
>still waste money on streaming services
>still donates to various streamers they watch
It's like savings, even if it's just $100 a month or something, is an alien concept to millennials.
they have cable AND streaming. it's so much for nothing
Netflix is free with my T-Mobile account. Took me a year to figure out that I had it.
latter coming from former, but mainly lack of financial responsibility. keep in mind most never really go independent. living with roommates in your 30s would be unthinkable to me.
well, it's not like they will ever own any homes, so might as well blow their bucks on inane bullshit
Netflix has foreign dubs while still being able to have english subs; it's great for learning a language. Can you get that shit on pirated downloads?
yes
Feels good having never paid for a single fucking thing I watched online.
Thanks lad
>Netflix has foreign dubs while still being able to have english subs; it's great for learning a language. Can you get that shit on pirated downloads?
I get all 28 subs on my Netflix downloads. So yeah.
Do you use a VPN to download?
No, I use private piracy methods so nobody sees what I download. Public torrents are for kids. Adults move on to private stuff.
Ok cheers
ok
>Can you get that shit on pirated downloads?
Here's my subs on my Netflix download. It's the same exact thing you get when you pay. Same picture. Same audio track. Same subs.
Literally no reason to pay for Netflix.
Criterionchannel is p good.
it's useless
Spotify with student discount is fine, used to have Netflix for a while some years ago when the catalogue was bigger but no point now. No need to pirate music anymore, but movies/TV gets pirated. It's like If every record lable had their own service, would be shit
0, but in the case of something like Amazon Prime, if I'm already subscribing for something else, I'll take advantage of it as a bundle.
Well its a mix of that and the economy sucking.
I can attest that my shitty saving practices came from a family where if I tried to save $20, I would mysteriously find it missing after a while. So it was always better to spend it ASAP
All of you are plebs.
I don't stream. I don't pirate. I don't watch television or movies. I read twitter screenshots and clickbait articles: they inform my Yea Forums posting.
When I fly I might deign to watch several episodes of Seinfeld but only on special occasions.
I've already started by unsubbing from everything and just getting a year long VPN service.
not one? I'll just keep pirating everything. what kind of cuck pays to watch tv?
I use Kodi so I literally just press T and if there's a pre-packaged sub it cycles through them, if there's not it opens up a window to download one from whatever site I have set up
>Works Minimum Wage
>No Full time for you wagie, would hate to have to give you medical benefits, best I can offer you is 35 hours a week at 7.25 an hour, don't forget to take out 11% for the Government
>That's $1015 per month minus $111.65 to the government for an astounding 903.35
>Rent is $800 so we are left with $103.35
>Oh you thought you could secure a mortgage with a minimum wage job? Go fuck yourself.
>Now let's account for Gas, that's a bare minimum of $40 every two weeks so now we have $23.35, well here is your grocery money then, don't spend it all in one place :)
>Netflix for the prestige movies/shows
>Disney+ for the Star Wars and Marvel
No thanks I don't steal
can we start calling them paypigs i dont like the term streamcucks
>Not taking the opportunity to escape the hollyjew and switch to reading and listening to podcasts instead.
>media
>paying
What kind of pathetic retard makes only minimum wage past 18?
Cancelled my Netflix last month after being annoyed for a long while that there is almost nothing to watch on it anymore. It was convenient as I travelled alot for work but convenience means nothing if there's almost no content.
No city where rent is $800 is gonna have actual minimum wage jobs. Most places would have you starting at $14 or so.
Same answer as when you made this thread last time: .
I'm not a poorfag so I don't have to pirate everything. I think I'll be paying for two streaming services. Cancelling when there is nothing I don't want to watch and switching to another one.
Get a real job
>use qbittorrent bro
Works fine for me
I pay for Amazon prime, roommate pays for Hulu, and her dad pays for Netflix. Paying for a single one is the max any of us are willing to do. If there's something on one of these three I'll use it. If not, I'll download it.
Zero.
>qbittorrent
ew
>expecting to get another trial with the same email address and same ISP
a college student?
no
nice
I'm swaying this way too.
Was dumb and grabbed an “Alita” torrent from TPB the other month. Got a call from my ISP a few weeks later calling me out on it. Never had that happen in years of torrenting, so I need to jump to VPN; I'm dumb for not having done it sooner.
fuck college students, most pathethic human beings ever.
>Was dumb and grabbed an “Alita” torrent from TPB the other month.
lol
>so I need to jump to VPN; I'm dumb for not having done it sooner.
I'm surprised people are falling for the VPN meme. There's so many ways to download stuff without being monitored by somebody who reports you to your ISP.
That's the problem though, for an average pleb like me there are few sites left with proper content in decent quality. God forbid you want to see a movie that is more than 10 years old, good luck finding one that's still being seeded.
I've been torrenting since 2002, never used a vpn, never received a nasty letter from my isp provider. I don't know what everyone else is doing wrong. Only thing I can think of is that I limit my upload rate while downloading and generally stop seeding as soon as I have what I want.
I'm such a noob here, user. Help me out. There are multiple VPNs (here in the states) that seems to advertise that they don't log/monitor what you do (including torrents) and that they prefer it that way, in case they are ever approached by LE.
And as far as the ISP can tell, they can see the VPN traffic, but can't parse it, since it's encrypted/jumbled.
Am I close or way off? Genuinely curious.
>for an average pleb like me there are few sites left with proper content in decent quality
I used to be a pleb. Then I went to /g/ and found out how to join all the private piracy sites that you can't be monitored on. Now I pirate all the time for free, without being reported to my ISP.
Pic related.
Maybe I should start researching. I fear that soon copyright organisations in my country will start to pursue individual downloaders. Hopefully it won't turn into Germany 2.0
I'm the Alita moron up here .
I'm like you. I leech, and as soon as I hit 100% complete, I jump off.
With the above incident, I think I forgot to disconnect from the torrent and left it seeding overnight (about 6–8 hours). THAT is where I probably failed, especially since it was a new release, and the film companies seem to have firms monitoring the IPs connected to their fresh releases.
This was the first time I ever had my ISP call me out on it; specifically saying someone at the home downloaded a torrent of “Alita: Battle Angel”. Lesson learned.
>holy fuck you're retarded.
enjoy paying for a VPN user. I will pirate for free without worry!
Nah. Popular torrents are usually monitored. You are seen as soon as you connect.
Only ones with low IQs, I'm a college student, my roommate's a college student, some of my friends are college students, NONE of us make less than $11 an hour and we are in the midwest where prices aren't at kike control levels like in CA.
There is nothing private about ANY of the choices described in that picture, user. The only reason forusing "private" trackers and such is for exclusive content.
Yep I'm back to pirating. Hope all these greedy fucks go bankrupt, I'm not paying as much as I would for cable for a handful of streaming services, fuck that.
I have a smart TV, so it's as easy as downloading whatever show or movie and sticking it onto a thumbdrive and using the built-in media player
I wish it was in Europe
>There is nothing private about ANY of the choices described in that picture, user.
Yeah sorry user I'm not using public trackers anymore. I am fine with my private sites. I never have to worry about people monitoring me.
How do I even get into private sites these days?
What.CD died and BakaBT purged my account, so I've fuck all proof of ratio or ways to connect to anyone with invites.
>imagine not jumping on some of the best private trackers during the height of the scene and p2p in the early 00s and not maintaining a stellar ratio to grab all of your kino's in UHD and BD, while grabbing the rare releases in supreme tvrips
cant wait for the when the numbers come in, plebs are paying more for internet and streaming then they were for cable and internet
interview. only way to start without being invited.
i understand the math, but once you become redpilled the minimum wage should be $0. There are no shortage of minimum wage plus commission jobs. I agree that sucks, but staying stagnant at minimum is a choice
I pay for youtube only because downloading hours of vids is a lifesaver at my job
if youre posting on Yea Forums asking, theres no hope for you. Work harder wagie and buy your content like a good goy
Why seed old movies when you can stream them just fine? Lots of sites have uploads and even back up uploads that's streamable. Only down side are pop ups but just get ad blocker and you're golden
>Why seed old movies when you can stream them just fine?
I'd rather download them and play them on my giant tv
B-but my friends on Twitter and at campus told me it's the boomers' fault I'm poor!
>take the red pill so that you can suck someone else's dick
Wonderful, whatever pill I choose, I'm sucking dick.
Stop posting this.
i’m not LOL
