People are too caught up in the trilogy's lack of monster fights (which makes sense, given much of the fandom consists of retards).The trilogy had much more interesting ideas, and even some decent characters. KotM is a bomb on just about every level besides the monsters themselves, and their screentime was handled awfully.

KoM could have been salvaged if the Mom character didn't flich from her goal when people started dying, and the Dad and Daughter had to actually fight her every step.
Basically just replace the Charles Dance character completely.
